I really like the drums & bongo in the background! Great documentations.
Excellent. Thats my shading issues solved forever. THanks so much!!
@razvanab29 in blender its a little more complicated, you can set smooth shading on by clicking set smooth in the editing panel. if you want some edges to stay sharp go to edit mode, select the edges in edge select mode and press ctrl+e. choose mark sharp and no problems left i gues
This looks like a tool I really want to use, Wish I knew how to find it! Is it a plugin? Or is it already built into Maya? If so where is it in Maya?
where ? somebody found where is that option in maya
I got it mate, he must have been using some kinda keyboard shotcut. easy way is SHIFT+RMB open the harden/soften edgen option panel, select the angle, and put in the desired value. ENJOY, thank me later :-).

yeah finding Maya smoothing groups a real ...weird... system compared to MAX's.... Atleast older Maya before 2012 I guess. It really should have had it's own editor or Shelf tools, instead ya gotta make everything yourself including scripts for it.
WOW
yup it's in maya
Wouldn't this be avoided by modelling with good topology and not having giant n-gons?
u see... i was looking for HOW to do these my guy.. 😐
