Bravo Cunard. I am a maritime historian going back to the days of Samuel Cunard and have always been partial to Cunard ships. Actually, and unfortunately, my first memory ever of a ship was when I was 4 years old and saw a picture of the RMS Lusitania sinking and I've been hooked ever since. Cunard has always gone above and beyond to make absolutely sure that their passengers have the best experience of luxury and passenger treatment at sea. It's good to see that Cunard is still going strong.
As far as looks are concerned, Queen Elizabeth is a beautiful example of modern shipping. The culmination of over 150 years of shipping knowledge and design has gone into what is now one of the most technologically advanced passenger ships afloat. The QM2 is another example of how far we have come since the days of wind and sail. At the turn of the century, Cunard had such beautiful ships as the Lusitania, Mauretania, Aquitania, Berengaria, and many others that were prime examples of beauty.
For a cruise ship, she's better looking than most of them. As an ocean liner, she doesn't look like one and is horrid in comparison. Well, she's not an ocean liner and doesn't qualify as one. She's just a Vista-class cruise ship made to look like a liner. She looks like a large barge with balconies, no grace lines like the original queens (i.e. QE2, QE) or even the QM2. Her interiors are stunning, nonetheless.

My father took me to New York on Queen Elizabeth fifty years ago. I am taking my daughter across the Atlantic on Queen Elizabeth in March/April this year. We are looking forward to it!!!!
Not a classic beauty in the North Atlantic tradition, perhaps, but an extraordinary ship, nonetheless. I wish Cunard great success with Liz and her sisters!
Well, I'm going to start saving as I'd love to try this ship for my 30th in a few years! QM2 was fantastic, so high hopes will be carried over. Just would have liked a more original exterior, Cunard...!
You should compare the RMS Queen Elizabeth video and the MS Queen Elizabeth video which is this one (the RMS QE video is in The Golden Cunard channel and the video is 'Getting there is half the fun!')
The passenger liners of past held a very different purpose. As much as I wish ships still looked like the Aquitania and Olympic, had the technology been available and the purpose as it is today they would have likely looked like this too. At least Cunard liners today still have some semblance of line and refinement. The monstrosities from Royal Caribbean make me sick to my stomach.
What other features does the new Queen Elizabeth have and how does she work and operate. How fast can she travel, are there more than what meets the eye and is it worth the trip?
@GrandeurFrancaise . Yes I know the Queen Elizabeth was build in Italy, just like her sister ship before her (Queen Victoria), but what has that got to do with what I was saying?????
The QE2 is retired, and therefore don't count anymore. The QM2..... lets just say it looks acceptable. It has some features which makes it look a bit like those hideous block of flats, but then again, you're quite right in that it retained a lot of features from the Ocean liner era. But the other two ships shown in this video seems to show where Cunard is headed in the future.
Very disappointing indeed. Cunard used to be the last line that still build cruise ships that looked like passenger liners. It seems like they have now also succumbed to the modern trend of building hideous floating blocks of flats.
Wee Boy, I have to assume that you don't share my view regarding the Queen Elizabeth? As for Royal Caribbean; well, I took just one Royal Caribbean cruise - aboard Splendour of the Seas, when she was brand new. I quite liked her external looks but really she was rather glitzy internally and that kind of mass-market product does not appeal to me at all.
So many hunger and pauverty in the world and some people choose to spend thousands of eyros to travel with a boat... for fun... I dont like this world... I dont want to live on this planet.... But i have to... Cause i cant escape....
Ryan Ireland because, her and her asshole of a husband were the cause of Diana’s death. I’ll never forgive that bitch Camila or Charles for what they did to that beautiful woman..
there were three ship called Queen Elizabeth the most beautiful and the best speed of them was the first Queen Elizabeth, the second was not so great as the first and the third is the worst of all - he is the most slow of them and the small and ugly!!!
there were three ship called Queen Elizabeth the most beautiful and the best speed of them was the first Queen Elizabeth, the second was not so great as the first and the third is the worst of all - he is the most slow of them and the small and ugly, I'm not going to sit for a third Queen Elizabeth, he will not fit and not in comparison does not go with the first two.
Since like decades the word is still " I name this ship (ships name) may god bless her and all who sail on her"

Shouldn't the ship be called Queen Elizabeth 3 ?
This is MS Queen Elizabeth so it won't have a 3 Unless they made it an ocean liner.
Yeah Queen Elizabeth III
Yeah should be QE3 but because there has been no such a person on the throne it wouldn’t be right.

@@deenguyenfamily2468 So wa ur saying is that qe3 can't be name unless it has to be an ocean liner
if i launch a ship with hitting the bottle:
Me: * hits ship with bottle *
Ship: * sinks *
My father took me to New York on Queen Elizabeth fifty years ago. I am taking my daughter across the Atlantic on Queen Elizabeth in March/April this year. We are looking forward to it!!!!
Ok. Have fun

@JohnRhysMusician Cunard is now owned by Carnival, correct?
Yes

2010 Years Ago wow.
I love this ship, like the other ships in Cunard History
God save the Queen.
@a7medoom yes
I was 6 when that happened, now I'm 13, wow I feel old

Wow
does the ship Honors Queen elizabeth I or Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother or Queen elizabeth II
@rongiant1093 Yes, she is bigger than QE2. Queen Elizabeth is 90,900 GRT (QE2 was 70,327 GRT)
What other features does the new Queen Elizabeth have and how does she work and operate. How fast can she travel, are there more than what meets the eye and is it worth the trip?
they have to wear a formal clothe in that ship?
This isn't queen elizabeth 2?
@GrandeurFrancaise . Yes I know the Queen Elizabeth was build in Italy, just like her sister ship before her (Queen Victoria), but what has that got to do with what I was saying?????

now queen elizabeth named 3 ships queen elizabeth
Should've gone with "Cunard, the youngest fleet in the world with the most ancient of legacies."
Why is ship name queen elizabeth since we already have queen elizabeth 1 and 2 ?
Queen Elizabeth
@airplanegod Yes
I asked the captain of the QE2 who he worked for and he said "I work for Cunard" I said so do I, but I only have a dingy.
So isnt this QE III

..... Why does this ship bear the same exact name as the 1967 Queen Elizabeth II?
They didn't mention the Atlantic gales though.
the vista class are still nice
QE3 EXIST???
so technically this is QE3
nice.....cunardQueenElizabeth2010
Only for the few.
:D and to think that I. Was the first ever kid that set foot on this ship
Were you make money is running a cruise liner, not building them, although i agree it,s a shame uk yards are mostly gone
this is queen elizneth2 new cure ship cunard line but i want to have queen elizbeth2 model
somehow I don't think they have bean bag toss on the pool deck. Beautiful ship though
I like this cruise ship. Too damn Bwitish.
Isint that the queen elizabeth from london
Can't believe how they cheaped out on this ship, compared to the QM2. This is nothing more then a cruise ship dressed as a "liner"
Want to go! Arghh!
I disagree, she looks a lot better than the previous Queen Elizabeth ships. Though the QM2 looks nicer.
Ehem how to apply as a 3rd engineer
So many hunger and pauverty in the world and some people choose to spend thousands of eyros to travel with a boat... for fun...
I dont like this world... I dont want to live on this planet.... But i have to... Cause i cant escape....
None of us can escape m8.
Queen Camilla - I'm sure they can bring something out of the scrapyard for that one... but Queen Catherine (Kate) should be a beauty.
Well it wouldn't be the first time someone has sailed on Camilla. She's probably been in more than one port in her time.
Ryan Ireland because, her and her asshole of a husband were the cause of Diana’s death. I’ll never forgive that bitch Camila or Charles for what they did to that beautiful woman..
I too am saving up like mad i would like to do the trans atlantic crossing on qm2 then this one
I wonder if anyone is ever uncomfortable surrounded by all that decadence and conspicuous consumption?
Queen mary 2, made in French shipyard. made in france. Ha ha
Aww, ain't she awesome?
She's wonderful imagine the Queen was on it
Thought germans built it
Well good to see that I'm not the only one that thinks this is an ugly vessel.
ugly vessel ? go do a Royal Caribean cruise lol
Such an uninspired looking ship. Gone are the days of beautiful ships like the two QEs before this floating hotel looking thing.
Horrid looking ship
there were three ship called Queen Elizabeth the most beautiful and the
best speed of them was the first Queen Elizabeth, the second was not so
great as the first and the third is the worst of all - he is the most
slow of them and the small and ugly!!!
Eu desejo a falência desta empresa inimiga da White star line que sempre será a melhor vcs não são nada
