Absolutely gorgeous! We need more warrior mermaids! I love how the face and the helmet turned out and of course that amazing tail! Love working with you! 💖
I seriously love how that closed eye and the whole face in general have turned out, the tail has undoubtedly been one of my favorite things, I am excited to have collaborated with you again 😄💖💖
Okay she looks badass! The contrast of the hair with her skin is really cool and I LOVE the helmet so much, also her hairstyle is so pretty! I need an army of those to keep my queen safe tbh 🤣 Great work! It's always awesome to collab with you, Jacky!
Lovely! She is a fine representative of your unique and beautiful esthetic, as well as a fine wounded warrior not unlike myself. I think honorable veterans the world over can relate to her strength and beauty.
I love the Berserk inspiration you took! In fact, I think your style kinda reminds me of the og anime adaptation of it... Your art style is just really an old anime aesthetic (which is the best type of anime to be honest)!! Or it like reminds me of The Last Unicorn ya know. But like pastelfied and glitterized... Love it
i feel like ive gotten that before heh. id say old anime is probably some of my favorite anime so it sorta makes sense. ive actually never seen the last unicorn. it looks real perdy though.
🥰 I really love her, thr closed eye with a scar looks so cool, her belt is fabulous 🤗 & the tail looks awesome & now I'm having more ideas whenever I get a chance to play with mold making ☺️
I LOVE her face! The scar looks so so good. And the gem holder things on the spikes of the helmet look made for that specific purpose! Your creativity is so much fun to watch take form!
She looks so badass! And her face is stunning. 🙌 And that taaaaail! 💖💖💖 Also I love your pink drill it's stinkin cute. Thanks for joining the collab! It was awesome to work with you again. 😊
thank youuuu!! hahaha i also love my pink drill, it also came with a pink bag so im super ready to drill all the thangssss. thank you for hosting! it was a good time!
I want you to know it made my day when you said you love dimple chins and that you want to emphasize it in a character so beautiful. I have one and have always disliked it, but all of a sudden I feel cute and beautiful. Thank you for spreading that positivity (even if it was unintended). Keep up the good work!
Lovely work! I adore the look of seahorses and the armor works so well with the articulated tail! The eyes are of course beautiful and the scar lends such a great bit of personality. I love watching your whole process and the way you utilize so many different kinds of materials in your work. I do a little bit of work with resin so here is the answer to the matte mold question. When making molds out of silicone, the mold will mimic the surface of the master piece. In this case, your clay masters had a matte surface so your silicone mold became a matte mold. You can create shiny molds if your master is also shiny! Usually I'll do a two mold process if the original master is going to be a pain to polish and if I don't want to varnish or polish everything that comes out. So in this case, if I had been you, I would have cast the first batch, then gone at the resin pieces with polishing paper after they were cleaned up. Then I would have made new molds with the polished pieces. This is only worth it if you're going to be using the mold more than once. Otherwise, I would go the route you did here, though with polishing instead of varnishing. If you are going to be doing a lot of resin, pick up some polishing papers! They work great, you don't have to worry about drips, uneven varnish or air bubbles, and you can get your resin to a mirror gleam if you put in the time. I've had great luck with the Zona brand wet/dry polishing papers.
She’s gorgeous.I love all her accessories, the helmet and breast plate is beautiful and I love the the colours you chose against the gold.Looks very rich.I really love her 🥰
I get the "face hurts" thing. I have tmjd and it's made my jaws so sore and swollen for the past 2 weeks. It's finally getting better and I can start to eat more than rice, soup and mashed potatoes. I hope your gums heal up quickly and with the least pain possible. As for this masterpiece... She's amazing! Your princesses are beautiful, but I can see the passion you have put into her! The articulated tail is amazing and even the trident is awesome! I think she's my favorite of all of your aquatic dolls! I can't wait to see what you make next year! P.s. thanks for helping me through another sleepless night of tmjd, and I hope you never have to experience it. Gum surgery is already bad enough!
oh wow, im so sorry! theyre definitely feeling better now but for a bit there i definitely looked and felt like someone punched me in the mouth lol and thank you!! i really tried with a couple aspects of her so im glad that comes through :) and no problem! i just googled tmjd and i wouldnt wish that on anyone, i really hope youre doing better.
I work w paper clay aaalll the time. If you wanna stick it to something I recommend mixing it equal parts w water until it forms a paste and painting it over where you wanna stick it. It should dry pretty fast and then you can build on top of it SUPER EASY
She's wonderful! Her color scheme reminds me of the lesbian flag a little bit, which is adorable considering that she's a knight who protects the mermaid princesses.
oh my gosh she's beautiful! seriously, the LENGTHS you went with this custom are insane and it really shows in the final product.the tail especially is incredible. Also, your faceups are like-my favorite? I don't know if it's the veins, or the blue undertones of WHAT but they really speak to me. The way you draw their eyes and lashes is like so over-the-top and detailed but also really perfect for them,, it works incredibly with the hair and outfits you give your customs. thank you so much for sharing! you really outdid yourself with this one :-)
thank you!! i really did try with that tail haha. ahhh that means alot. the faceups are definitely my favorite part and the reason why i got into customizing heh :D
Jacky, you have single-handedly deterred me from ever trying to make silicone molds of anything. 🤣 But her tail is awesome and so is she. I love the bright yellow hair and her face is so detailed like always. You did make me want to try blending paper clay and foam though! The helmet is epic. Hope you're feeling better~!
hahaha the molds really werent really so bad, just alot of tedious clay mushing. thank you!! if ya try it good luck lol definitely feeling back to normal which is good cause i looked a mess for a bit there.
About the little holes you poked in the silicone its used to make registration marks so the two parts of your mold lock together easily! You can also use paper cups instead of legos, they tend to be less expensive and you dont get as much of a mess to clean! Edit: be careful about using rubber bands, it’s best not to use them if you can (look up dice making videos if you wanna see, injection molds are really great), they will squish your mold and the cast pieces might be a bit wonky!
I remember there is a series on youtube called Dye Trying by Peter Brown, where he uses all kinds of... things, to colour resin ^^ might come in handy in case you’re wondering what else you can (and can’t) use for dying resin casts.
Amazing! You and Tiffany from Lady Dynamite have totally inspired me to make stuff out of craft foam with your most recent videos! Off to the craft store :)
love this! just fyi, the little holes you push into the clay when you're making the silicone mold isn't for air bubbles, it's to make those little nubs that make it easier to line up the two mold pieces later! :)
I love how this doll turned out!!😍🫧❤️My only suggestion if you decide to make more seahorse mermaids/seahorse dolls in the future is adding some small dorsal fins to the tail so it looks really fishy(in a good way hahah) and not snake/wormlike!
im glad ya like her! oh i thought about it, i thought of adding one to the back but decided it would mess with how her cape and hair laid and wouldnt be the most visible anyway but you're right it wouldve made her a bit more fishy
not sure if you did it since i didnt see it in the clip you had when you are filling them. incase you didnt you need to use the tap method when filling the molds to release the air inside and force the resin down into the mold. so fill tap the mold and fill again repeat till mold is full :)
She looks amazing as always you never disappoint ❤️ but omg I'm so pissed at UA-cam right now, bc I've been subscribed to your channel now for years, and UA-cam unsubscribe me to your channel. So I'm so glad I found your channel again and I emailed them a very angry letter. Just thought I'd pass that along to you..bc your one of my top doll artists. And I'd really hate to see when UA-cam does this kind of thing. Love ya girl ❤️
thank you so much!! uhhh....thats weird. ive heard of that happening to people in the past with channels, hopefully it was just a one time thing. thanks for taking the time to subscribe again though!
About the molds not filling up: it's because the air can't escape easily through the same hole you use to pour the resin in, so you'd need another hole, which is more elevated to let the air escape, while you pour into the 1st , less elevated hole. I hope that helped.
hahaha the video i originally watched didnt have much description on the type of clay the person was using so i just typed in plasticine clay or something on amazon and that came up. thank goodness it worked perfectly haha
it’s so strange to hear someone say they like dimple chins. in school i was always so embarrassed of mine and everyone would always call it a butt chin
Put an ice pack on your face in case of swelling it we’ll help no cold food though only eat something warm like rami or soup mash potatoes might not be a good idea.
Absolutely gorgeous! We need more warrior mermaids! I love how the face and the helmet turned out and of course that amazing tail! Love working with you! 💖
thank you!! she was definitely fun and different to work on. It was great collabing with you again!

She looks stunning! I was curious to see what type of shirt you would make her, but this one is the perfect fit, looks just like a seahorse
thank you!! yea i didnt know if a shirt on a mermaid would work out but im happy with it!
I love all your mermay dolls and really like how different this one is! The scar came out great, she looks so cool!
im happy ya like em! yea, probably will make another princess next year but it was nice to switch it up haha! thank ya!

She's wonderful! Her color scheme reminds me of the lesbian flag a little bit, which is adorable considering that she's a knight who protects the mermaid princesses.

All hail the lesbian seahorse knight.
I love her, she's so beautiful. I love the details on her armor and accessories 😍 💕 👏👏👏👏👏

I love her, her faceup is beautiful. Also I was today years old when I learnt that a seahorse is a fish
thank you! seahorses are fish right haha? like they arent....reptiles of the ocean or something i dont think lol?
Jacky, you have single-handedly deterred me from ever trying to make silicone molds of anything. 🤣 But her tail is awesome and so is she. I love the bright yellow hair and her face is so detailed like always. You did make me want to try blending paper clay and foam though! The helmet is epic.

awww honestly i always love it because it gives me an excuse to make anything ethereal. make a princess mermaid lol theyre always fun for meee :D
i was thinking that the opposite of a princess would be a villain... but that's just me lol

thank you!! hhaha i mean they were kinda great lol

Totally not buying that paper clay on foam ... minutes later ... wow that's a pretty sweet looking helmet!
hhahaa right?? the sanding seriously helps lol
Quick question, do you ever get any monetization issues with having doll nip nops visible?
i dont thankfully. i think some people do from what i hear
At 41:53 it looks like Trix yogurt from the 2000’s
Jacky If you didn't like the tail of the tropical mermaid, why didn't you change it?
because it didnt occur to me at the time that i should change it.
@@jackyohhhxo Okay.
@@jackyohhhxo Are you currently working on your next doll repaint?
@@jackyohhhxo Maybe next don't add hole for the resin and don't use two different molds.
can u make rani from elden ring? u have absolutely veryy amazing skillss and your dolls look sooo expensive and so prettyyy
