  • In this video, we explore the dramatic and complex history behind how Mexico lost 55% of its original land to the United States. The story begins with the Mexican-American War (1846-1848), a conflict driven by territorial expansion and political tensions. The Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, signed in 1848, marked the end of the war but had profound consequences for Mexico. Under the terms of the treaty, Mexico ceded vast territories, including present-day California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, and Wyoming, to the United States. This loss not only reshaped the map of North America but also left a lasting impact on the cultural and political landscape of both nations.
Join us as we delve into the events leading up to the war, the key battles, and the political maneuvers that resulted in Mexico's significant territorial loss. Don't forget to like, subscribe, and hit the bell icon for more in-depth historical insights and geopolitical analyses!

Don’t get it twisted the Texas revolution had Mexicans fighting for Texas independence along with the other separatist in the south. Also, we fought a war and could’ve took it all but we didn’t.

I mean, how did Mexico get it? Even the Natives weren't particularly peaceful, they just didn't operate on the scale the Europeans did.

If that was the case, then why do native Mexicans flee Mexico in droves?

Mexico could always take it back by force if they want. Go ahead and try could help solve our fentanyl problem and the US would have a smaller southern border.
