So nice of you to say. Im glad it helps, I try to paint, the feeling of a bee, not the picture perfect image. I think it is so much more interesting, and invites the viewer to add in the details and use their imagination. Happy painting my artist friend.
@@DebbieWalkerArtmadeeasy My pleasure. Yellow daffodil was painted by me on my channel. Your cute little bees inspire me to paint the bee and daffodil. I will let you know if I post bee and daffodil painting on my channel. Nice to know your cute little bees painting. Keep in touch.
@@interiorsefforts I just saw your beautiful yellow daffodil and bee! Yeah, and bravo! What did you like best about your painting? Id love to hear. Thank you so much for sharing, YOU are why I took the step at almost 60! to step into this UA-cam platform and inspire all beginners to play and enjoy the watercolors magic. Thank you so much for sharing, I love what you did!
Thank you. I have a couple dragonfly videos. And end of month I’m yea hung (in a class via zoom) how to paint these little cuties. Hint.. wet on wet 🦋 I’ll get you the link for the dragonflies they are so fun! ua-cam.com/video/Nr-z5UcwYvw/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/ySs2yKq9gOw/v-deo.html
Hi Debbie, I just love your bees, Can't stop practicing . I think the first 3 yellow parts look like a croissant. It helped me with getting the shape right, haha.
You are right! So happy they are fun for you after all that’s what watercolors is all about. And thank you for reminding me it’s so much easier when we can connect a familiar shape to what we are working to paint!! So happy you are here with me!
Your welcome and my pleasure. The biggest challenge here is water control... practice only applying paint lightly wet, as there is a sheen to it, vs a puddle or pooling of paint, then go in with a slightly wet brush and paint, I dot the tip of my brush on a paper towel before going in especially with that black paint which can quickly take over the entire bee! Let me know how it goes! Thanks for being here with me as I get better and learn this UA-cam thing. I think you got me a free ebook too? Thats a work in progress but as I get better I hope it is a good reference for the brushstrokes and some tips and techniques I talk about. See you soon, Happy Painting!
@@DebbieWalkerArtmadeeasy Thank you so much for the tips. I will follow your guidance and try it later. I ordered better paper now and hopefully can get it next week so I can have better experience with water control.
You are welcome, I hope it inspires you to pick up your brush and follow along. I always say if I can do this so can You :-) I'm a newbie here on UA-cam making videos so I hope you will stick with me as I learn and improve. I'm also on FB and IG and a little more skilled there! Happy painting, and see you soon!
Dear Debbie, my teacher! I have started painting these cute bees by following your tutorial. I thought it could be difficult. But I did it❤ They are so cute I love it. I will practice more. Thank you for teaching ❤
Great job! I knew you could! They just take a little practice and mostly about the amount of water you are using. Once you can get comfortable with that its easy! TIP- Always gently scrape your brush on rim of water bowl after rinsing and if brush is still holding a lot of water after applying your paint dab the tip of your brush very lightly on a papertowel to remove any drips and excess. Drips are not your friend in watercolors!
@@Hopexi Puffy it is my pleasure and I am so surprised by how well you are doing! How long have you been painting? You are a won derful student and I hope some day when I have a workshop near you I will have the opportunity to paint with yoU! Keep painting my friend, you have a gift
@@Hopexi Wow!!! You are a natural! I will do all I can to guide and help you! Did you get your supplies? If you only invest one thing, invest in some good paper and some less expensive paper It will make a difference. You are doing so well!
So glad! I painted these several times too! you can email me for my drawing, or I also offer the tutorial companion kit for 2.50 on Etsy which includes the drawing. I'm glad you are enjoying these poppies and giving them a try. My email Debbiewalkerart@gmail.com
Thank you, I hope you will give it a try. Paint in your style, your colors. I promise you If I can do it so can YOU! Thank you and I hope to see you again! PS Im also on IG and FB if that's more your thing :-) Happy Painting!
I've been painting for several years and have watched scores of tutorials, but these bees are now my favorite. 😊 My strength is in detail painting, so I'm always looking to practice this lovely, loose style. Great tutorial!
OH! Lucky you. I have always needed more patience for such things. I am so glad., the wonderful thing is you can add your detail on top of these little cuties. I would love to see what you create and your version of these little honey bees! Thank you so much for opening to my loose, flowy style. PS I hope you stick with me for a while as I am a newbie on this UA-cam thing, and I hope to be a pro by my 60th birthday at this tech stuff! Or better anyway, by this August! Happy painting! See you soon!
Wonderful! I'm so happy it helped, they are so cute aren't they? I love adding them to florals for an extra touch of whimsy. Have fun Bobbie! Cant wait to see what you create xo

I am so happy to see you here, as I am new to this whole UA-cam world. (And I hope to be an old pro by the time I'm 60 in August!) wish me luck! I hope to see you again and hear back about how you did. Remember, not too much water, or you might get frustrated by a big puddle of color! . no puddles of paint on your paper, it's very difficult to work with :-) just a beautiful sheen and shine! Black is pretty powerful, and that is why I use Payne's grey, it is a little more user-friendly for me. Happy painting, and I hope to see your beautiful paintings!
