“If I wanted it to be perfect, I’d probably buy a picture.” 😂. Love that Debbie and it’s so true. Really loving learning your loose style. It’s helping me so much. Loose isn’t easy for me. Blessings to you!
I’m so glad my thoughts resonate with you and I will tell you and all my years of painting blue style is very hard for most and I am so happy that you’re giving it a try once you get used to it and become more at ease with it, you will love! Blessings to you🌸🎨🖌️
I can't stress enough what a wonderful teacher you are! I feel like I could actually paint these along with you, and will try. I love your fringy leaves!! I struggle very much with composition, and where to even include these sweet little flowers. If you would be willing to do a video on composition, I think a lot of us would benefit from that, I sure would! Thank you so much for your tutorials! 🖌️🎨🫶
Good morning Lori, I'm so happy my teaching style resonates with you. It's so important to find teachers that you can connect with in your learning style. So many brilliant artists out there. Terrific. I cant wait to hear how it goes... take your time, ive been painting these for decades, so practice is key, and warm up with some practice strokes before you paint always. I still do and its always worth it. This is a quick little warm up ua-cam.com/video/nL70DG_huCM/v-deo.html Happy painting Sharon!

Happy to have you here with me :-)
love your tutorials and now fully hooked on painting flowers. The thing that I struggle with is balancing my painting, Hve you any advice on how to overcome this please
Hi Allen! Im so glad, isnt it addictive? Painting flowers? I love them because nature has no rules, or judging good or bad all flowers are beautiful unique and special! Tell me a little more about the balancing? Maybe referring to composition?
@@allenmccormack39 Yes, that can happen; it is helpful to balance the colors and shapes. I typically, as a rule of thumb, work in threes. I find it easy and always creates a nice look. Meaning I create three main focus flowers. I also am careful of colors if you have "complementary colors" (working on a video on this). These are opposites of the color wheel, it can create an imbalance if used incorrectly. Trying to keep this simple here for you. Use analogous colors, those colors right next to each other on the color wheel. Use three main focus points. An old rule of thumb I learned in college as well is to divide your paper into visually three sections, place one object into each section, balance their size, and use colors that are next to each other on a color wheel, for example red, orange, yellow or blue, purple and red. This ensures you do not have one section that has a really large, heavier-feeling object on one side. There are more principles, I feel this is a good place to start. Usually, it is caused by an imbalance on one's side, or the colors are opposites and create imbalance. I hope this helps! Keep your eyes open for a coming tutorial on some color theory and composition~ I also have a free ebook that talks about composition.. tr.ee/b5mjIs9fyF Happy painting Allen! Stick with it, I promise if I can do this so can YOU!
Occasionally, although I will say I give everything my twist lol. I take LOTS of photos when I am out hiking and anything I can find on my walks and in my yard. There have been a few as well that some of you have asked me to paint that I had to google because I never heard of them, which was great fun! I hope you give this technique a try, its awfully fun~
Hi Lana, I have transitioned to a lot of florals, foliage, I do have a few coming up that will be a stream, and a field of wildflowers, maybe some others. I have been going off requests and what I am hearing is most helpful for you. Please let me know any challenges you might have or subjects you would like to see. Happy painting Lana, thanks for being here with me.

The flowers are pronounced Pea aaa knees
