Went 4-0 at my locals yesterday piloting Floo with Fossil Dyna. Lemme tell you no feeling better than beating $1000 snake eyes with $30 Floo

For some time when my former locals was doing heart tournaments I was running a Dino Charmer deck.
My guy is playing Dino's since 2017 and still don't know if it's good or not, you should tell us not the other way around 😂

Left the game a few months ago but i still check back to see if the fornat has moved to a point ill enjoy by watching your vids. Cali what is your opinion on ninjas as a deck entirely. Me personally I just enjoy playing it and trying new things but I hope they get support again cause the deck is just that cool!!!!
I was really lucky with lotus king. I saw it jump in price and there was one seller not in the know who had four copies of them. I thankfully got me play set for six dollars a piece at the last second.
That was the one card I saw in presale and was like “ I better cop that or it’s gonna be too expensive for a budget deck” 😂 thank god I did buy a play set

@@twilightblaze2052 I didn’t, I just had it in my save for later for a while on tcg player and saw the jump and got really Lucky. And I’m super thankful for winning that timing.
I was really lucky that I decided to stop supporting Konami and switched to Pokémon. I built all meta decks for the price of a play set of wanted.
@@masterflamewing234 haha! Very nice, Pokémon is a fun card game. Though I did find a lot of their Pokémon cards expensive for the decks I wanted to play, at least all the decks that were not single prize decks. Single prize decks always seem to be cheap (go figure). It is nice how accessible the support cards and what not are too.
Testing infernoids right now, but can say the deck could use some help. One way the deck could better quick is if Konami lifted Reasoning and Monster Gate from the banlist. Also, Infinite Forbidden will be introducing Flametongue the Blazing Magical Blade, which will improve the consistency for going into Infernoid Flood.
Everyday I wait with anticipation for an upload from TheCaliEffect. Then when it happens I yell “what’s going on big dawg!!!” in Cali’s voice

I agree that branded is a deck that “can compete” solely for the skill that’s required obv if you put the time in for it it’s literally top of top competitors

Hell, how's about some love for my balerdroch zombies? Got a monster mash going with tear and kash for consistency and it's pretty good against everything except snake eyes and exo
Hey Cali, what is your opinion on Fire King - Dogmatika? With the Dogmatika engine, the deck gets more level 8 monsters along with an extra draw and a handtrap due to Fleurdelis aswell as more consistency to get to Ponix.
It is most certainly an upgrade, but what do you think about it's competitive viability?

I remember playing against a plant deck on locals. He fired up his fieldspell. I let him activate it (I had Varurdras on board) Next thing that happened. The fieldspell tributed my omni negate. Never again that sshit going out first.

I been slowly not playing my voiceless deck just because it feel like it needs more to the deck. It’s a decently fun deck but it gets old relatively quick and everyone knows how to beat it cause you do the same line every time for the most part
For infernoid. It has to be mixed with snake eyes. And also the fusion spell not being a once per turn is crazy

Ice barriers are also actually good, it's a hard deck to build because the pure version sucks ass and can't go second at all.
However, the pure engine is so small which means you can incorporate a secondary water engine to support it and currently the best one I feel is the white sardine engine (3 Abyss shark, 3 White Sardine, 3 White Reincarnation, 1 White shark)
This engine allows you to make bigger boards going first and also break boards going 2nd.
And even with this engine in your deck, you can still play around 12 HTs which isn't bad. Definitely the best version of Ice Barrier I'd say.
Ice Barrier Ghoti is quite good as well. Ghoti in general is super unrepresented for how great it is.
@@roguetopriest6808 Ice Barrier with Ghoti isn't bad either but again having Ghoti cards doesn't fix the issue that ice barrier has which is to go second.
Also the small ghoti monsters are somewhat bricks and you don't really want to open them.
In order for ice barriers to work going second aswell you have 2 options,
1- Play them with White sardine engine like I said (You still get to play around 12 HTs and sardine engine can break boards going 2nd with white aura without taking your normal)
2- Play 20 HTs but be really immune to bricking and lose to 1 interruption if your opponent manages to play through (tested this and wouldn't recommend it)
3- Incorporate Runick cards (This version isn't bad but it's not to my liking, it just removes the deck's identity and can't play HTs either)

had no issue slapping the ritual beast player at my locals with ice topped both weekend playing it even against the snake eyes player thats going euros but yes you have to run crossout for sure but thats every deck if you get stopped building your board its GG thats tier 0 for you
Yeah I brought my rouge PK goblin biker deck and thrashed 2 ritual beast players at my locals. Deck is powerful but you stop their combo and they completely fall face first

I'm so-so on Floo having potential the jellly fish pal coming. After a banlist think ice barrier can thrive more, is it bad, no but you need crossout, but it's got tools. Me though I'm in the Lab with Dragons and trying to get a streamline version, I somewhat want to build Yubel, though it being bricky at time and as stoppable points, still like how it plays but Fiendsmith is about to cost so much drip.
I've been enjoying Tear recently, Even though it's not as full powered like it used to be. I still catch wins here and there 🤷🏽♂️

Genex has the same problem as majespecter, if the opponent knows what to imperm then its over. I never encountered a genex player that kept on playing after I hit their Link 1

I play lab, and at my latest locals I went against 2 branded players, and lost both rounds 1-2 cause I'd win game 1 easily, then theyd puppet lock me and clear my backrow so i couldn't catch up

Crazy how voiceless is seen bad in the tcg but one of the better decks on the ocg. I play vv and rb and i dominate with both on my locals lol
Feels like two different card games.
One of the biggest problems with rb is its susceptible to nibiru like it has no nibiru counters at all (you can play differently and hope that your opponent doesn't nibiru early). Voiceless main weakness is ash sometimes sometimes droll

You are wrong about spright. That deck with a few weeks practice is a dangerous strat. They have a card for most problems, can go first or second and if you play a healthy mix of hand traps and board breakers, there aren’t too many boards you can’t play through

Spright 80% of the time cannot go second unless it just gets lucky enough to stop a board with ht/droplet

RDA's best version is the centurion version because it can do the centurion combos but at the same time beat board breakers vs crimson dragon via Hot red abyss because it can chain red zone and still negate board breakers that you can't respond to with monsters.
Pure centurion sometimes loses to Cosmics and Droplet, RDA centurion doesn't but the tradeoff is that RDA centurion can't play as many HTs as regular Centurion, if you want to, you need to up the deck count to like 50 cards
Well now that we have Shining Star Dragon idk… Because if you resolve the crimson+bone combo line you can Calamity lock. But def when the Earthbound Red Nova comes out, the engine is useless.
@@zayworld49 but that's the whole point of playing centurion, it gives you a line that doesn't rely on your normal and if you main play gets interrupted, you can still go the centurion line. Making 1 synchro let's you win the game with the centurion version. Also I tried shining star dragon but that thing requires you to resolve your main combo and it's a dead card going 2nd not to mention it's also not searchable. Also I don't how earthbound red nova will help the deck tbh, it seems like a troll card to me.
@@haroutkayabalian8591 Centurion going second is the same thing. Also RDA can go first or second, you only want to go primarily first if you’ve built your deck specifically with Calamity in mind. Two, with the hand trap format we’re in bcuz of Snake-Eyes many decks aren’t able to full combo T1. It’s not that hard to wait it out and imperm, veiler, mourner, or any effect negation for the Crimson Dragon. That’s why Centurion isn’t a higher tier meta strategy. When it comes to RDA you have to expend resources stopping it from establishing a board bcuz it can put up so much effect negation and disruption uninterrupted. Also, Shining Star is played at 3 to increase chances of hard drawing. You can also put Magnamhut or Witch of the Black Forest in the deck as an extender. Also, when we get EB Red Nova. All you need to do is put a Scarred or RDA on board then use EBRN to get Red Nova on the field. Then STD (lol) to Calamity lock

If they mourner you, mourner has to be chain link 1 and crimson chain link 2 cause again it's their turn and they have prio which means crimson still resolves. The imperm you can just negate with hot red abyss. But usually you're gonna chain the centurion cards after they summon their first monster which means their imperm gets turned off. It's actually extremely hard to stop the lock.
You mentioned that earthbound monster name but again the card is troll because
1 - you need to already be able to make a synchro 8
2 - after you make synchro 8 you need to have him and the shining star dragon and shining star dragon isn't a searchable card
3 - centurion can be accessed with your regular engine, you don't need to hard draw anything, just making auxila allows you to search any centurion card and full combo which means it's searchable unlike shining star dragon.
4 - in pure rda, if your soul resonator gets negated, you have no lines of play other than bone archfiend if you specifically opened him. No other card will allow you to extend further. You have no guarantee your normal is resolving going 2nd.

shining sarc is a pile of bricks if you don't open a way to the main spell card or if your opponent negates your search. it is strictly a fun deck, even with the new dark magician.

Not really. Gandora & Ebon Sorcerer can be a 2-Card combo for a lot of crazy plays.
