My fine and thin natural hair does not like mini twists or mini braids lol. Talk about breakage and starting locs. I like the ways your came out though!
I have the same struggles. I used to be jealous when I saw girls with the plum juicy twists. It took me about a year to figure out what worked in my hair. I love the twist style. Yours look great!
@@NaturallyCorporate I use a really light leave in and i do my twists with a curling cream. Either Cantu or African Pride. The key for me is to not a lot of product and nothing too heavy.
They look beautiful😍. Fine hair and mini twists are tricky but you did an amazing job! Your hair looks very full and I love the versatility. Well done my friend! ❤️❤️
I made the mistake of doing a full henna treatment before installing mini twists on my fine hair. Henna smooths the cuticle. Although the twists are shiny and smooth, they look thinner than they need to. Next time Im going to try your technique. Your twists look great!!
I’m currently wearing mini twist. They are two weeks old and I plan to keep them for 4 weeks at a time. I find that if I hydrate weekly and use a good oil on the length, it doesn’t loc.
@@NaturallyCorporate Yes, I am. It feels so nice not having to worry about doing my hair daily. I just hydrate a water/aloe/ conditioner/ mixed in a spray bottle and then seal with castor oil.
I actually gave up on trying to do twists on my fine natural hair, but you are giving me confidence that I can get it right. Thanks for the tips. I really like how your twists look. 🥰
You got this! Put them in again when some time off -- maybe a long weekend. Take your time and install them. I like mousse best, but I've also done mini twists with creams. Let me know how they come out!
I have a lot of hair but it is fine. It's so dense that no one believes me. Lol when my scalp is showing then it's like what ..lol I'm doing a long hair journey to retain length from March to December. 10 months. 10-inch challenge. Wish me luck 😊
Your hair looks gorgeous! I completely agree with you about having fine strands in mini twists. You have accomplished the unthinkable. Your hair looks so full. Excellent job! I love mini twist! ♥️
Your mini twists are cute on you. Your thumbnail screams beautiful. 🥰 Not twisting to the ends is smart because the ends can get and do get tangled. I've experienced that with Hannah's hair.
I’ve been on the hunt for a protective style for my fine hair. Normal twists have me looking crazy with way too much space between. Going to try mini twists. 🤞🏾 Yours look great.
I just got the interest to wear mini twists as a hair style not just as a protective. I’m two years natural and have only worn my hair out about 15 times, usually my coils are in plats or twists underneath a head wrap or wig. I’m going to start wearing my hair out in mini twists but I will braid at the scalp a few strands and then twist the remainder just to give my coils a little more hold at the root. I’m also toying with the idea of using a flaxseed gel on the ends where I coil around my finger to keep them from unraveling. I love your mini twist.
Hiiii!! Yes, wear those minis out! You just might really love them. I’m so excited for you! I’m familiar with the method of breeding at the root first. My hair is fine, so I just twist to give it a fuller appearance at the root. Thank you so much for commenting and engaging with me! 🫶🏽 Have a great week!
And, friend, nobody's hair is perfect, so never say that your hair isn't perfect. I appreciate your tips; I'm taking mental notes. 😊 Merry Christmas, Regina!🎄💕

I think my hair is even finer than that....however...I am still going to rock my twists lol. I know it will look stringy but I love the ease of wear. Love to see you rocking the mini twists, locs would look so good on you. Thanks for sharing the tips with choosing the right mousse and finding the right swoops. Also, your hair has really grown since your mini twists video from 2 years ago.
Great Video and great tips. I have done mini twist 3 times and it works well for me. I keep them moisturized with aloe vera juice and it works well for me.
@@NaturallyCorporate I get the big jug of fruit of the earth aloe vera juice. My hair has really grown since using it. My hair was super dry. The aloe mage a big difference.
I do mini twist on my hair all the time but I don’t wear them out. I personally don’t like the look of them on me because they are short. I usually wear them under head wraps or wigs. I think when my hair gets longer and my shrinkage stop playing me then I may start wearing them out. Great tips.
Love your tips. Your twist look nice. I only tried mini twist one time and I did not like the way they looked on me, but will be trying them again. Great video. Thank you
The first time I tried mini twists I was NOT happy, I was actually dissapointed. I waited until I had a few days off work and tried them again. I think I'm finally kinda happy with them now.
I cant, i tried earlier today and the ones I put in, I am now taking out omg I have never done them but I love how they look on other people lol yours look better than mine would! Maybe I will try again another day but the size of my twist were like toothpicks and I did part smaller because I wanted it to be full. My hair is extremely thin and fine 🤦🏾♀️ my whole life and extra curly I Love my curls but 😡 Idk I dont have the patience to try right now but surprisingly they were holding except some at the nape were already coming out! Thanks for the tips though ❤
Hi! I'm sorry for the late reply. Aw shoot -- I with they would've worked for you. I actually bought some kinky hair from the beauty supply store a few months ago and I'd planned to add some hair to my own to make the twists thicker. I still might do it... just haven't had the time. Would you consider adding some hair? Or are you not a fan of that? I'm in between honestly. :) Thank you for watching my video!
@NaturallyCorporate Yes, that's actually how I always do my hair by adding in hair. I mostly do spring twist so that is what I resulted back to lol. I had an idea if I try again. I may do a finger coil first wear it for a day or two then twist the coils into two strand without braiding the root 🤔 and maybe I can try a different product but if I don't put something on my hair it will not hold! But maybe something at the root and a little on the ends that way the middle will kind of unwind a little to give a fluff look 😂 Idk I'm running through ideas but I am going to try these lol trying to think who has my texture....maybe Chilli from TLC 🤔❤️
@@NaturallyCorporateok I did it again and as I thought they are so tiny skinny and no plumping for me 😂 I don't even know how to describe my hair ugh but I left a few strands out here and there like goddess locs to add a fuller look. May not be too protective for the hair that's out of the twist but it seemed to work. So what I'm thinking to try next time because I'm just going to keep doing it and see my progress but next time maybe I will try to wash air dry like always and moisturize but no product as I twist except the ends or it will unravel lol I look so bald 😂 but my hair is about shoulder blade length it's just I was born so thin 🤦🏾♀️ but we will see I may try some styles I probably can hold my ponytail in two fingers 😂 I wish UA-cam let you show pictures lol ❤
Hello, I am in my early 60's. I have been natural since 2015. I started thinning in the top and crown areas. I big chopped hoping I would be able to thicken my hair up with natural products, but it didn't happen. The thinning areas, became bald spots. I then went to a dermatologist and he said I had Androgenic Alopecia and CCCA. I was very upset. I then went to a second dermatologist and she said to use Rogaine, because I didn't not have scaring on my scalp. I was not comfortable with Rogaine, so I have been trying to go the natural route with products. My hair has a nice length on the sides and back, but the top is the issue. I have been wearing two strand twists for seven years, but my scalp is very visible. I did go through several years of stressful events. I also had a very stressful job. I am now trying to walking two to three miles twice a week hoping it will help. I am concerned that, because of age and hormonal issues my hair will never recover 😪. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I apologize for this being so long 🙂
First, thank you so much for this comment! And don't apologize that it's long -- I don't mind at all. Wow, I really wish you didn't have to deal with the bald spots. None of us want to deal with those. I don't have any professional training so I can't really give any recommendations. It sounds like you're doing the right things -- consulting with your dermatologists and moving your body. Is it the ingredients in the Rogaine that you're not comfortable with?
Sorry for your issue. You nay want to try a DHT blocker. I use kaiblends Folliguard and Mane Attraction extreme growth oil. They gave really help combat my thinning hair.
@monilisasmilehowell9517 Hi! The first few times I did them on wet hair. Then I tried doing them on dry hair and it made a big difference. I had to detangle and smooth a lot on wet hair. Dry is much better.
Hi Sparkles! I didn’t have a certain amount per row, so unfortunately, I can’t tell you I don’t think I had the straightest parts, and I just kind of grabbed small sections that felt right to me - not too small and not big.
@NaturallyCorporate I finally took the plunge today and did mini twists after being natural for like 15 years...had to blow dry my hair first and used your tip to stagger the layout of the parts...it really helped.
Hi Tayla! I've twisted on wet and dry hair. I don't really have a preference b/c either way comes out great. However, twisting on dry hair is a little less fussy. :)
