To keep my twists flat to my head and keep my roots from being puffy, I put a bobby pin on the roots until it's dry. Take them out after they're dry and you'll have flat, smooth roots. 😉
I just don't understand where you get the energy, creativity and constant motivation to keep coming with such wonderful and valuable footage! Prior to watching this video, I reviewed your 12 gems in getting great deep conditioned hair. And, both videos are equally priceless in obtaining and maintaining beautiful healthy hair! Great styles, as usual, for your twists!!!
hey Rina. Thanks so much. I literally think to myself, if i were searching for info what would I want to find for my fine natural hair? Sometimes its hit or miss with my topics but I keep going. Plus, I ask the Holy Spirit to help sometimes too!
@@FineNaturalHairandFaith I am glad that you keep going! I know that some viewers prefer short videos, but I for one, so enjoy your longer videos especially. Keep them coming...
This is the video I needed because I am constantly re-twist in my hair every morning after I tie it down and what I found from your video was one I don’t put enough product on there I don’t know why I’m so light-handed with it. But also I don’t do the combination and the smoothing part of the roots is key !!!!!!!
@@FineNaturalHairandFaith Oh. I actually love my silver hair. I started graying at 16 years old & I'm on the "other side" of 60! I use to color it when I was younger but I embrace it now.😊
@@ddmatt1920 nice! I don't think I ever will! I'm 53. I usually use henna for color but I do love it for how it lays the cuticle and smooths the hair too
@@FineNaturalHairandFaith thank you for all you do to help people like me with their natural hair regimen. Do you have a video to show us how to use henna for our gray?
Im sp happy that I saw this video bc I was about to cut all of my bra strap length hair off again. I'm not used to such thin hair and to me it feels so unhealthy. I had low iron and low Vitamin D3 for about 5 years and before I knew it and it caused my hair to shed by the handfuls for those years. Now I can embrace my thinner hair and allow it to flourish in length. Thank you so much!!
@nikkibeee8191 I just stumbled across this comment. Going thru the same thing, any tips on boosting those levels? Mine is still coming out in chunks despite being on vitamins now😢
Beautiful as usual ❤. We have a very similar texture, I find that back of my hair gets wet quicker and it hold water long than the middle of my head. I also find that when I do wash and goes the back of my hair tangles and get tiny knots or tangles. I love wash and goes but I mostly do twist now .
Yep your hair sounds like it believes just like mine. I wonder if the top of our heads being exposed to the sun etc is just more higher in porosity causing it to be resistant to receiving moisture, products etc I don’t get a lot if tangles with wash and god now because I only allow it to be for 3 days max but when I do get a tangle it’s definitely in that area so I’m keeping it all stretched. I do like a wash and go at least once in the summer though
@@FineNaturalHairandFaith you may be on to something with that idea about the sun …. Yep you are correct going past 3 days with a wash and is a nightmare lol 😂
Hi Michelle! I just found this video in 2024 and I was wondering how/or if this technique would work on 2nd day hair or blow dried hair? Would the CR gellee flake if you used it in these situations? Thanks for all that you do for us fine strand ladies😊
Hey you absolutely could do it in blown out hair. You get much more stretch although you will have some shrinkage due to the moisture content in the products. I’ve never had flaking with CurlMaker
Have you ever tried wooden rat tail comb instead of plastic? I bet your hair would love a bamboo comb set. JDY Bamboo or any brand that you find as long as it is 100 Bamboo. KEEP GOING, you are doing great! Very encouraging!!!
You are reminding me how technique and the RIGHT products make a HUGE difference for such a simple style like twists! Thank you!!

Yep I used to do that too. As my hair has gotten more dense I haven’t needed to
Thanks so much. I’m a fan of less manipulation of the hair as possible. Love the style🥰
Agreed!! Some manipulation to set the style then leave it !

Hey I’m glad you found this helpful! Smoothing is key to tame those cuticles 😊
I braid the roots a little and then twist. And at the front/top of my head I do flat twists. Also helps with keeping it neat🤗
@@vallyhuisje7770 I braid the roots too but only the small twists. When I do medium to large sized I don’t braid.
😂😂😂😂😂nice video, as usual! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 I for one, love ❤️ to see people style their whole head. To me, it’s relaxing 😎😂😂😂
Ha! I feel that way about seeing ppl washing their hair and detangle it lol
Your hair is absolutely beautiful
I'm new to twisting and have a similar texture to you so thank you for all the tips!! Also obsessed with how beautiful you are 😍
aww thank you. That video is old. I got me a lot of gray now LOL. Not that gray isn't beautiful but it sure is different!
Thank you for sharing and providing great tips. Your hair is so healthy and beautiful 😍 ❤
thank you and you’re welcome 😇
Great technique and beautiful results. Glad I found your channel!
Thanks so much! 😊
Twists are my GO TO!
Great video ☺️
Beautiful & since my crown is thinner & fine strands I now see I need to twist with larger sections & NOT MINI twist
Thanks, yes it definitely helps to not put stress on that area plus hiding the thinner parts
Loved the vid. I will have to get some of that jelly. Once it's done you can forget about it until next time, that's a 🏆 winner. 💗
🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 almost forget 😬 on day 3 I do still have to re-smooth my crown…there’s so many small new hairs
Please ,What is the name of the gel she used?
@@maudlouis-charles4206 it's Curlmaker by Camille Rose Naturals

I have the very same hair type and it's very hard to control. Frizz is my enemy 🤣🤣 This technic is genius!!!
no lie!! Its even harder when it's humid out. We do what we can!
Thank you. Your hair is so much like mine. I hope to learn how to style like yours.❤️💕
Thank you for this. I have grey hair and my twists tend to get frizzy after about 5 days.
Have you tried henna? That’s what I use to cover my grays and it also lays the cuticles

So do you put the Camille Rose jelly over a leave-in conditioner after your wash?
Yes but I actually let my hair air dry a bit so it wouldnt be so wet. I had my leave in and oil already in my hair and then let it air dry
