Good stuff dude. I didn't know Cayuga has a railway right on it, unless it's a different lake. I'm dying to get back on the yak once winter goes back where it came from hahah.
Thanks to you I went up to one of those lakes and tried lake trout fishing for the first time last weekend. So windy, and took a bit but over two days got six lakers between 24-28”. Appreciate you!
Vacationed by the Finger lakes a few years back, wish I knew about this shore rail line, was having trouble finding decent public shore fishing spots! No lakers that shallow in the summer when I visited I'm sure but it still looks like a beautiful area.
Yeah there’s fairly minimal shoreline access on some of the lakes. And unfortunately some of the places with access aren’t terribly productive fish-wise. On Cayuga Lake one of the places you’ll come across first by asking around and internet searching is Taughannock Park, which can be good especially during Fall.
My family has a cottage on the western side. Literally the first couple cottages on the lake. Wish we could catch these guys on the northern end shallow

Thanks! Yeah I'm already done with this winter too.

NIce. I've heard they are sometimes caught into the north end during winter. I guess not quite that far up though!
