This is excellent whisky. I love how you can play with this blend with adding water. It’s like having multiple bottles of whisky in one bottle. With water this one went more oily and coastal for me. It’s a true SMWS experience from Compass Box.

This one is on the shelf near me for $110. The problem is I just picked up a Laphroaig 10yr CS batch 015 for $70 😮

Tried this in Limburg last month, and it was fantastic!! I wish I could've justified the €120 price tag... towards the end of the weekend whisky fair, the budget was already blown... but both a mate and me found it sublime!

My Total Wine finally gave up on this and reduced down to $90. As soon as that happens, we started flying off the shelves. So I’m hoping get the same enjoyment, but I don’t think I would wanna wrestle my buddy Greco roman style.

I wish the Compass Box PM CS was cheaper. In my area is $115 for 700ml blend mostly Caol Ila. Not sure on it. I may wait for TW to put it on sale.

@@joshuacase2845 oh wow! You must have a different one then. Here was the one at Total Wine by me. 34.2 CI refill American Oak Hogshead, 17.9 CI refill Bourbon Barrel, 11.8 CI refill Sherry Puncheon. If it was mostly Laphroaig I’d pay the $115 but since it is mostly CI then I’m passing.

I have not personally tried it but I would not pay a dime over $150 knowing the contents of the bottle. 9 year old Laphroaig and 12 year old Caol Ila.

It's good, nicely complex, and like they said you can add water quite a bit to play with it, but after having a few drams of it, $110 is the highest anyone should pay for it.
