      Unlike other areas like NYC (as an example) we don't have agents who represent renters. You will have to go directly to the landlord/property manager. I can help you navigate and figure out the area, tell you where the house/apartment is located, etc. Let me know and reach out any time!

    You must be wealthy and white to be welcomed here appropriately. Good luck!

      @ Brianna it depends. Some people view wealthy people as the enemy, coming to gentrify their town. The wealthy ones that are already there will welcome more of their ilk.

    Hello! I wish I had looked this up sooner!!! I have done the cursory "Google" research (had a heck of a time finding us a place to live), but I failed to attempt looking for a UA-cam video until now! My boyfriend and I are arriving around the 6th of September from Reno, NV. We have a friend and his wife that are current residents which lead us to choosing Asheville as our place to spend our later adult years. We are both 40 and just wanted a change of pace and life scenery. As of typing this, I am only 1:35 into your video, but had to reach out ASAP! Upon concluding your video I will look into reaching out for helpful tips that may assist our transition. I am a licensed Veterinarian Technician, and my boyfriend works for a large title company based in Reno (he works from home). Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Now...back to your video! Thank you!

    Thank you! This was a very informative video, much as all of your others. I appreciate you taking the time to make them. I have a question regarding employment. So I know that tourism is big over there. Are there a lot of opportunities to work in hotels? I'm currently an engineer at a resort hotel over here in Hawaii, but my wife and I are looking to move over there before the middle of next year. I was wondering if seeking employment in the hotels would be a good option, or should I possibly look elsewhere for employment?

      Hi Chris, thank you for your comment!
      I actually had a video about employment:
      ua-cam.com/video/EabaK2E-e64/v-deo.html
      I’d say hotels and tourist industry is one of the only opportunities here.
      Good luck!

    My family has been talking about getting out of CT for a few years. In light of the world today we r looking more into it. I’m interested in NC and love the properties I see. I’m looking to start a family farm on a property that has running water. Do you have any?

      Hi Barbara, are you talking about a property that has a stream or a creak on it? Do you want to message me with more details like size, location, price range? 828.301.7781 is my number or email me elenakovrigin@gmail.com

    What about shopping malls and the schools

    • @livinginashevillenc
      @livinginashevillenc  3 роки тому

      We only have one mall that's dying. Asheville outlets is an option.
      Schools are great, but again, that's all about perspective. I have a video about how schools work ua-cam.com/video/sWQRBqdbkaw/v-deo.html
      Did I answer your question?

    I love Asheville, I mop up bigtime here. I panhandle on the highway exists. I'm a drug addict so I cannot work a job. The government here gives me food stamps, free Methadone and a hotel room. Why would I leave?

    Thank you. One of the things I'm most nervous about when thinking about moving is leaving my state (California) for another one, particularly on the other side of the country.

      Asheville has blown up in the past decade. It is very difficult to live here now unless you bring your own job or are wealthy. Please please do your research and come visit first. This lady has to be a realtor.

      @@MyLloyd100 Well, the fact that I say that I am with Nesting dolls realty at Realty One Group Pivot right in the beginning confirms that I am a Realtor. What's your point?

    • @livinginashevillenc
      @livinginashevillenc  3 роки тому +3

      @@ThatkidwithCP I recommend (in some other videos) signing up for local groups on FB or Next-door: WAX is one of the largest local groups- you'll read all kinds of stuff there. Asheville area moms is a good source for information about others' experiences moving and adjusting. Just go there and either ask a question or search for a topic in a search bar of the group. I always recommend people 1. Visit first 2. Rent before buying that way you can do your own research, learn the area and maybe decide if it's the right area for you.
      Hope this helps!
