🍲 COM TAM: For Pork: Mix soy sauce, fish sauce, honey, oil and minced garlic in a bowl. Coat the pork chops with the sauce and marinade for at least 1 hr or overnight. Grill pork on charcoal. For Broken Rice: Wash rice and cook using a rice cooker. Combine meat and rice with fried egg, fried scallion, pickles, tomato and cucumber.

I'm vietnamese and i think the host didnt fake his expression. Just a minority of Vietnamese people who actually eat these exotic foods, so even a tour guide like him has never eaten them before. Those foods are actually not cheap for most people .... and we might just see them in the countryside or few restaurants. Sorry for my bad English btw :))

I'm from samoa and my dad made me eat these raw, fried, and boiled! I was the only one out of 7 siblings that had these. It's not as bad. As long as you close your eyes and just imagine its chicken.

I’m so impressed with the Vietnamese culture. Whether these strange foods are eaten throughout the country or in just a few regions it’s interesting to see how these people have managed to integrate those things that are plentiful in their region into their diet. It may be disgusting to some of us but the truth is they are survivors by utilizing every resource around them they manage to not just survive but maintain a quality of life. I would love to visit Vietnam. Not sure I’ll eat all the bugs but I would definitely try.

actually, the inside of the topmost part of the coconut tree is very soft and delicious. It becomes harder and tasteless when it comes down to. Here they're trying bit below the softer area. That's why it's tasteless. That soft area is already eaten by worms.
