    Hey everyone 👋
Just want to highlight an error I made in this video, unfortunately the channel is not big enough yet to buy all these solar panels and test them in real life, so I rely on specifications. Solar panels unfortunately can't be compared by doing this.
I am happy to own this error and am always looking to grow my knowledge to help you all out.

Spot on, I've done my research and purchased the kings about 12 months ago.
It is laying flat on my roof and it gives 12amps in good condition😊.

      Wow 12amps that's impressive!
Thanks for watching and commenting mate 😁

Reviewing the Kings but comparing the specs with other brands is not a true review on build or performance. Some panels perform better than others when the sun is on an oblique angle, some builds are better than others, some have coated glass which are easier to clean and maintain. Some will perform better than others when in partial shade. These are the real world reviews I like to see, but it's all good. Thanks for putting this all together.

Hey mate, thanks for watching and commenting 🙂
I'd love to do a side by side comparison, unfortunately right now the chanel isn't big enough yet to afford that. Fingers crossed in time that's my dream 😁
For now I'm stuck with figures, I do have a great sponsord video coming up with a side by side comparison of two brands 👍

    Nice Banner
I’m not sure you are giving all the information that is necessary. The max power (amp) x max volts (v) should be = to the advertised panel watt. This is what the maximum input into a MPPT should be. The MPPT output to the battery gets converted from panel Volts to the voltage that is okay for your battery
The redarc panel, having higher panel voltage, lower power (amp) does have some advantages. But for the price of 5 x Kings solar panels, the price to performance isn’t close.
I usually shit at explaining myself, so hope you understand what I’m getting at.

      G’Day Gary,
Thanks for watching this weeks videos 😊
I’m a little confused, so are you saying the Redarc will let out more Amps to the battery because it’s a bigger Wattage?
My understanding was the short circuit cut off is the max that will ever come from the panel into your battery? I’ve never had a panel go over the short circuit rating.

@@Off.Track4x4 looking at the Kings solar panel numbers on the box. Voltage at pmax (18.24) x Current at pmax (8.77) = watts (159.96). This is what the solar panel can be putting into your MMPT. Say you are topping up your hardkorr lithium battery, still in bulk mode, the MPPT will reduce the panel volts from 18.24v to let say 14.00, going into the battery. With the reduced volts, current is increased to 11.4, so that the amount of power going into battery is still 160 watts.
This is the best that I can explain it. I know that I have used the wrong terms, (power and current are not the same thing), so I am sure someone else will be able to explain it better. Or maybe my understanding is completely wrong :) That could also be very true :)😊

You missing the most important figures, the open circuit voltage. Max Amps alone doesn’t tell the whole story

Hey Phil, thanks for the comment and watching. I've just pinned a comment I ran everything by a sparky and even adding in voltage doesn't tell the whole picture, watts is the power but Amps is the size of the current delivering that power. Only way for me to see which panel wins is putting them side by side in real life.

Redarc panels are well underrated on there specs i see 7.5 amp outta my 120w. Mate see 12amp outta his 200w. So mayb before slamming a Australian company u should have a look. U tested the kings and found its over spec. What's to say there all not

      Hey Jeremy,
I've pinned a comment apologising, had a chat to a sparky and it's very hard to compare panels with out putting them side by side.
I stand by my comments about redarc they are ripping us off blind! Plenty other Australia companies making stuff for half what they do. Not a fan of companies ripping people off.

@Off.Track4x4 ive tried a few different panels on my roof and I can tell u my redarc panels have performed by far the best for the size. I don't know any Australian company making what they do even at the same price let alone half of it.
