When I was at Ebisu Circuit for their Autumn Matsuri last year I was lucky enough to meet Kazuhiko Kojima, he is the driver in the video and was nice enough to take me for a passenger ride!

are we talking power to weight,, or are we talking power to tire width ratios here. because the light car's like to skid which is good but the heavy cars like slide which is all bad. 140hp can be pretty nasty on those space saver mini donut tires
we're talking 'you need to clutch kick constantly' kinda low power
low power drifting is actually easyer that mid to high imo

LOVE IT! This is real drifting to me. Anyone can go huck a 500+ horse car sideways, takes a lot more effort and talent to get and keep something with a little 4age or the like powering it sideways and moving.

So, that's the Ebisu circuit of Shifts? I always beliebed it was fictional! Great track for amateurs, low speed, tight harpins, no overtakes, the best to have fun with the family saloon. Off-course, if you're a professional driver with GT car fell free to go smashing slick tyres under tons of ground effect in a big autodrome

You can hear the car barely has the power and struggles yet the driver is capable of overcoming every shortcoming with clutch kicks and handbrake use to keep the car going sideways. :D

Why not? Sure it isn't too good for the car and can cause damage but it keeps the drifting going. Not like drifting is good for a car anyway.
