Honestly i really miss the POV trackday driving stuff. I know it's been a bit out of your control with the JZX100 fire, the landslide at ebisu and the fire at Morita's workshop as well, but that was always the type of content that i found most interesting. I don't think i can count how many times i've binged the whole Beans playlist.
I feel you, all these shopfires has made me completely revise fire hazard and safety in my private shop/garage/shed. Went as far as dismounting the fuel tank on my 86 currently on my ramp for rust repairs, lots of sparks from cutting/welding.
Im so happy you dont sell out and start collabing with the likes of Adam LZ abd TJ whats his face, those sort of guys. Keeping it to socialising with Japanese and showing the real experience. If you brought a load of aussies there and just showed videos of you guys drifting, all while talking english and ignoring the natives, I'd definitely jump ship. You are the man.
Yeah in one video he talked about Aussies coming there being too cheap to rent a room, so they slept in the admittance building and used the Tatami mats that were there only for emergency use, ended up infecting the whole place with lice 🤮
I love these cars. I want to own one sooo bad ever since middle school, and I'm in uni. Love how much engine sound we got on this one. The rust doesn't put me off, I just wanna drive a can with ITBs and pop-ups I do love me some stock rust! My current car helps me fight my iron deficiency, so I would appreciate a bit of rust here and there! Also, it's such a shame Morita-san's workshop burned down, I wanted to stop by when I come to Japan, finally. Also remember when you had to change the door on the beans, absolutely adore how jank that car is!
Thanks Noriyaro for uploading this hour. I just woke up feeling sad and depressed but now I am able to rechannel my focus on this drifting. I really wish I could get my dream rwd car soon.
Great 86 video for my 86 needs! Way to go Alexi! So sad you couldn't drive on 86 day, maybe next year eh? 🙏 Rust is so daunting to look at when you don't have tools or experience to tackle it. Most of what I do on my "TEQ's" is rust repair (got them cheap for a reason lol). The rear floor on one of my 86's is what I'm currently working on, so I think I can offer some advice here. I'd love for that car to get fully restored, but I know you only use the car for trackdays, getting it professionally fixed is gonna cost about 3 times more than what the shell is currently worth. But you can get away with simpler means and just as solid result. The way to do that is to cut the rust holes out so you practically get a square piece of an AE86 with a rust hole in the middle of it. Then you draw out the pattern on cardboard, make it 2-3cm oversize, and trace it over to a piece of sheet metal, cut out with angle grinder, and hammer the shape to where it can be persuaded to lay flat'ish in place over fresh metal in the car, and then just tack them in place over the fresh metal with what we call an overlap. That's much easier to weld than joining new patch & car together at the edge. At the factory these cars received a very sparing amount of spotwelds. One tack every 3cm or so while pushing it flush with a hammer, once you've done the whole round, follow up with another 3-4 adjoining tacks to each original tack, so you get a series of what we call beads, about 1,5-2cm long, 3cm apart, that's plenty strong for your front footwells/firewall area. For the panels in the boot I recommend going full house, i.e full bead welds (you just do the 1.5-2cm beads, all way around, take a break, another series of beads, take a break and let it cool, continue until done). Because they're just above the rear framerails, and is also located above the panhard bracket, both which are structural areas. Put some fiberglass filler on the overlaps to seal any gaps, then all you need is rattlecan primer & anti-gravel paint on both sides, voila, quick, watertight, solid, and looks ok. I recommend hitting the new panel with red flapdisc to get the milling scale off, before you shape it, so paint sticks to it. Tried commenting twice before, at a loss why my previous comments got deleted, if it was you lemme know what I've done wrong.
Awesome video. The yellow cars looks great. Nice to see many of these old cars at the track. A very cool event to attend. Looking forward to what happens to the Beams and Cresta videos. Keep up the good work.
8:52 lol, we do the same thing in America wherever it may be required. Some states care, others don't. Parts go on a week before inspection just to clear any inadvertent CELs, and come back off the moment you get home after getting your new reggy and inspection decals.
Noriyaro, Juicebox and Narita Dogfight, the three best channels about Japanese racing culture out there. Amazing graphic material always, very impressive.
Beautiful content Alexi... i just wonder how you always can be so catchy and captivating even if you are so easy going ( with a diary/log style )...💯💯💯💯💯💥💥💥💥
There must’ve been an 86 day by me today because I saw 3 clean 86’s although one of them was broken down. But I never see them anymore, so to see 3 in one day and them all be clean examples. There must’ve been a meet. Especially since the one I saw broken down, was on the most difficult mountain pass in the area.
Always love a good 86 event. The chassis is so neutral that they're endlessly flickable, but tend to be underpowered so you need some skill to maintain the slide.
Alexi you're making me worry man so I'll just say it! Please dont sell it... I love ALL of your content but the Beans... really has a Special Place In My Heart... Cheers from Portugal! 💪💪
Yeah this episode is kind of loud...
is this all shot on the handycam? it looks pretty damn good

@@ToreDL87 If there's anything 'good' to come out of these shopfires it's other people reconsidering fire hazard safety so good work
The Cresta makes an appearance, thought the video of you buying it was a dream 😅
New NoriYaro vid? About 86 day? BEANS MENTIONED?!?! LESSSS GOOOOOO 11/10
AND CRESTA
RUNNINGFREE86 HAS BEEN RETURNED!!!!! 1:40

He's been doing longer than most anyone else in Japan. I love that he doesn't mess with those clout chasers.
bro ngl i hate sammit hes a aussie trying to be American
He has done collabs with Adam LZ before
Yeah in one video he talked about Aussies coming there being too cheap to rent a room, so they slept in the admittance building and used the Tatami mats that were there only for emergency use, ended up infecting the whole place with lice 🤮
13:00 FINALLY
Waiting for the beercan

simply thanks for what you do mate, thanks a lot

I'm looking forward to seeing the Cresta come out to play! Just, maybe, I dunno, store it at the base of a waterfall when it's not being worked on.
Sounds like a swarm of angry bees when they're all on the track tearing it up! Love it! 🤘
The relative simplicity under the bonnet of an AE86 pleases me.
Definitely such an iconic Jdm. Great content! ❤️
What a blessing to come back to after a night at the pub and with a snack pack
BABE WAKE UP NORIYARO POSTED
5:58 Dem Keiichi greens though 🧤👀
And barely anything left of the car. That's when you know he's got priorities 😶
you never miss dude lmao
@@ToreDL87hahaha
@@_joseberm326That’s the way. Also, Rii-chan wore the red ones in that 2007 Ebisu Matsuri video too 😂
love the sound of the cars, AND the cresta was mentioned weeeehee
I may have started rewatching Initial D on 8/6 without realizing it.
BEANSSSSSS!!!! AE86s!!?!!?! NORIYARO??!?!
life is good 👍
yooo the drift man is still alive
So glad to see more 86 content. Inspiring me to get going on my 86.
Me and the lads are absolutely jamming to the intro 🤘🤘
Babe, wake up. New Noriyaro Video just dropped
I still go back frequently to revisit the old all AE86 drift meet videos... so happy to have a new installment! These are the best 🧡
hyped by that truck that is coming, this will help you to push more content!
Seeing the stuff on Instagram, the video should have a "WARNING: GORE" label considering what was documented. 😂😅
😂
been loving the 86 recently, this video is perfect timing
Finally we will get a video on the cresta
Yoooo! You need to give your AE86 some more love.
If I recall correctly, the Altezza 6 speed is the same used in the ZN6 😊
Thanks Noriyaro for uploading this hour. I just woke up feeling sad and depressed but now I am able to rechannel my focus on this drifting. I really wish I could get my dream rwd car soon.
Keep your head up. Things will work out for you.
I was in your shoes too, if you compromise and prioritize you can still get it. Keep at it!
I love the fact you have a Rolling Guy sticker on the side of your AE86 from Tokyo Xtreme Racer / Shutokō Battle
Finally!! The Cresta will get some light!!
glad knowing the beans is in "good" condition after the fire

The beans 86 is the car that introduced me to this channel and I’m so happy it survived 🙏
So many AE86s....... its incredible!
god bless the beater cars, and the beans
Hell yeah, glad it’s loud! 😁
My 86 is like the beans car in a lot of ways. Ive put tire stickers over the holes in the front firewall area so I dont get wet anymore lol.
In Finland AE86 is very popular on rallying. Very rare sight on normal traffic.
Tonight we'll be dreaming of carburetors 😊
the beans sound cool though ahaha
ow a new noriyaro video. unbelieveable.
love to see a series getting the ae86 a bare minimum pass for registration
You should show Richans 86 again, love those episodes! Especially the Shapple one.
9:27 Well now, I want a 'My Summer Car'-like set in Japan or in a market where you could fish out a beat-up AE86 from the salvage yard.
