Jubilee isn’t useless. Her powers are strong. But how can u give her plots? That takes away from Wolverine or storm or gambit/rogue screen time or any of the more iconic characters. Jubilee isn’t useless or weak. And her characterization on the ‘92 cartoon was excellent IMO
I didn’t think making an X-men intro better than the western was possible but they did it. The fricking madmen did it.
Johannes Jonzon yep
I won't go that far. They're definitely awesome it, but very few will ever top the original Intro!
@@aRBy125 will dissupoint you but im kinda biggest fan of western xmans in childhood and i first time see this(yea biggest fan didnt know about it coz japan stuff wasnt really allowed in my country) and im saying ITS FREAKIN AMAZING near western opening

Gone are the days when Magneto could summon the Brood to do his pro-mutant bidding.

ho-how did this go unnoticed in my life for 22 years?
1:18 And that wink is why i fell in love with Anime-Rougue, also know as BEST-WAIFU.
gohanmoreno7 Well she is best waifu in the actual cartoon anyway so......
Star Falchion Indeed.
That wink (was this a Toei deal?) seems in keeping with the Stateside concept of Rogue in the early 1990s : "maybe flirty and definitely a force to be reckoned with".
We all loved rougue when growing up!
No waifu, no laifu.
I love how the title appears, making you think it’s over, then it BLASTS you with the real intro.

Gotta love the detail about Wolverine being separated from Cyclops by Jean and slowly being appart of them.

Hold my SHOCK

Nomination for comment of the year.
I feel kind hurt, love the American intro it's very iconic to me. But seeing this makes me wish Japan did all the animation for the series.
Or a legit series, at least.
I think they tried something, but it wasn't THAT impressive.
Or at least the parts that were actually done by AKOM of South Korea.
Look up the Japanese Transformers Animated intros, those are amazing.
If they outsourced it to Japan yes X-Men Anime will be amazing, problem only that Japan will insert many Japanese influence and culture to it that this X-Men will be Japanese style.
The most 90s anime i've ever seen.

I want to go back in time to 1992 and convince a Japanese animation studio to license the X-Men for just that purpose.
Filby Yeah, try to convince Hiroshi Harada. Back in 1992, he released Midori, would be so epic if X-men were animated that way! ✨‼️

0:54 holy sh*t I have been looking for this scene for over twenty years
I distinctly remember wolverine and omega red soaring through the air but all my friends said I was crazy as the U.S. version always had the same intro
Thought I dreamt it
U.S used that animation as an outro sometimes. Very rarely but they broadcasted it in the U.S
Dude. I remember when I was a kid I caught a glimpse of this animation at the end of the X Men cartoon, but it only aired a short period of time and it was the early morning slot.
With the announcement of X-Men 97, I have to say this. They really should incorporate these opening songs into it somewhere, like possibly as insert songs. Maybe even official English covers.
Fuck that! Track down the animation team and hire them to animate the show.
Agreed.
Would love for them to mix it up and start a couple episodes with these when Wolverine goes to Japan or something
Ahh you wish. It most likely is going to suck but we can dream.
Lol the English version of the first OP already exists, it's a blatant rip of "Rising Force" by Yngwie Malmsteen
Damn i would of been super disappointed if i had watch this intro and then saw the artwork in the actual episode
BlockABoots
Lol.
Yeah
BlockABoots how so?
The art style is still pretty amazing in the cartoon.
BlockABoots i was thinking the samething!
That's how it felt to watch SilverHawks, or Thundercats
Mind blown. This was absolutely outstanding. Seriously, whomever did this could make a killing. The art work is superb.
I love how they are directly using the Jim Lee style directly instead of the animated show.
This art style intro for x-men in JP must be a major influence to MVC game series.
0:51 Charles Angels 😂😂
Yeah I was thinking "why did they make Rogue and Storm look like Professor X's harem or something?" lol
@@DaDualityofMan It's a Japanese thing, I guess. 😄

If X-Men was Anime.
Xmen was an anime. Just not the 90's version, it looked more like the movie version if anything... They also did it with iron man and one other franchise I can't remember..
Actually, technically it might have been an anime twice, if you count the cameos in that marvel/Pokemon/beyblade hybrid style anime 'marvel disk wars'
There is anime X-Men series and wolverine series.
Jubilee's powers actually look kind of menacing.
DemiTrusdale3 We shouldn't speak of Disk Wars
Efe Aydal in Japan it is and this is a real anime
This reminds me a lot of the Capcom fighting games featuring the X-men. X-men: Children of the Atom, Marvel Super Heroes, X-men VS Street Fighter., ect.
They have the hyper jumps, and finishers. This is so epic!
This is actually Capcom's main source of inspiration to start the whole craze with Children of the Atom.
AlphaProto Capcom made that opening :v
I always felt marvel nailed animated xmen better than anyone else. It was like watching the 90s comics in action
Holy smokes!!! I know these were just the Japanese intros to X-Men: The Animated Series, but wow! I wish this was its own anime!
The most coolest thing, it was made to promote both the 1992 series and Children of The Atom game 😎
And Mutant Apocalypse
CRY FOR THE MOON!
I'm praising the Sun! \[T]/

1:32 It's clear that whoever made this Opening loved his job...and the X-men.
Wow, they had the right idea with this. Really highlights what the x-men show could have been like. Too bad there isn't more like this.
Imagine if this series was written and made in Japan.....
actually marvel and DC have mangas of their stories in japan, they could make this happen
I doubt that it possible Japan.
At least not in current time.
Sentai genre were popular in 80s.
But now, you can't just make an anime without having a one central major character and not call it protagonist.
Self insert is a huge thing in anime right now.
Having big story revolving around one main character is better than having story revolving around 4+ characters as Sentai is.
Ofc everything depending on taste.
But, hey, just look what genre trending in Japan right now?
Coughharemandisekaiscough.

I swear I have never seen something so Japanese and American at the same time. It's beautiful.
Have you seen Thundercats(1985)?
also it's good to see Logan using his claws. unlike in the show😡.
Logan used his claws, just on robots he couldn't used them on people and get blood everywhere because the FOX censors would never allow it on the air at the time which is understandable considering if you where a parent in the 90s and you saw your kid watching a show filled with everyone dying graphic death scenes you'd be like OH MY GAWD!!!!!
Linda Cherone That sensorshit was really incoherent and nonsense. Remember that in those same years Mortal Kombat was hugely popular and it was played by lots of Kids( I was one of them)
