- Michael Beasley was once one of the game's most coveted prospects coming out of High School and then College. Once he got to the league, things went awry and he never fully reached his potential. He's made it back to the league once again, signing with the Brooklyn Nets for the remainder of the season, let's see if the 31-year-old can now find a home.

Michael Beasley will have to serve his 5 game suspension, as dumb as it is. Hopefully he can make something happen in the time he’s out there.
Do you have a new subscriber bro I’m actually watching some of your videos now about NBA prospects
How come no Draft player ever has any footwork, basketball skill/ OR IQ to their game. I have a higher IQ and more skill than 95% of the league. On the Oath to My Lord, I'm a Top 30 player in the NBA currently right now at the age of 24. NBA Scouts check me out. Contact me; I'm a sleeper; a Hidden Gem. Someone get me an NBA agent or a scouts info, and you could make 10% for life off my NBA contracts.
IA the right people see this. Bill Simmons, you could change a Generation of Basketball by Having the First South Indian Enter the league and Dominate and Change the way we see Basketball Globally. Brother please check me out. God Bless Your Soul.
I'm a 25 year old Point Guard In my Third year of Medical School. I chose a different career path, but I've been a student of the game since the early 00s, and Just as a student of medicine, I studied basketball in and out since I was a child. I developed footwork not seen in the league anymore, every step I take on the court is efficient and profound. Watch my footwork, how I set a defender up, the concept of angles is unseen in the Modern Era, I mimic Kobe, Rip, Ray, Paul P, with every way I set up my jumper. My IQ is Luka, LeBron Level, as absurd as it sounds. I'm also a pure shooter, Ray Allen's 3 min youtube video moving baseline to baseline in the Garden Gym is PsychoMemorized in my brain since I was a child. I'm a Complete Basketball player with every part of my game refined like a superstar. Assists, Floor Vision, 2 dribble pass, cut off angles, Post moves, ball fakes, side jabs, triple threat. All used more wise and with a greater understanding than even current NBA all stars in the league. I can carry my own team in the NBa Playoffs, and take a team to the NBA finals, I have LeBron James leadership skills. Bill I am going to be a practicing Physician Within a 2 year span, Please Read Me out with Some credibility, As I know This may sound crazy, But I understand and process exactly what I said. Bill Simmons I ask God for your help. Help me get in contact with someone in the NBA. God Bless you and Your Family in this life and the Hereafter.

I'm praying for this brotha. After the interview on the Pivot, I can see how see how so many obstacles in his life have lead him to believe he has nothing left but his children and ball.
No matter his difficulties I’ve always liked beasley
Stg bo
Same
Same that’s my boy though
Hell yeah since he was in Kstate I remember him coming out the draft I was excited to see what he can do.
Same I've always liked Beasley as a fan
Reuniting with his boy KD would be great fit to keep him straight and rejuvenate his career. Beasley is a Beast!
KD dont wanna play with him he tryna get rings not babysit his homeboy
Hope he still gets a chance
Glad you support him Gowie.
His get out of jail free card expired yeeeeeeeeeeeeears ago
he signed with the blazers
Wolves fan here. I LOVED Beasley when he was a member of the Wolves. Easily my favorite player on the team. His shooting touch and random athleticism is insane.
I was wondering what happened to him while he was at LA. I can definitely understand that he needed to regroup after losing mom. Hopefully he can come back stronger than ever!
All ten of them teams been in the thumbnail there was an excuse, why none or them ain't want him back.... 🙄
He doesn’t take over enough that man is a demon one on one
One of my favorite offensive talents ever, didn’t get to see enough of this guy. Loved it when he was on the Knicks, gave me a reason to watch
He is still one of my favorite players ever, as I watch this video I can’t help but feel bad for the guy because of his mother died it’s my mothers birthday today and the pain will never go away it’s hard losing a parent especially one who is always there for you. Hopefully you can make a good come back to the NBA. Miami should’ve kept him I think he fit well there
I saw Michael play at CU Boulder his freshman year. One of the few games I went to that season. I have never seen someone dominate a game like he did that day. He was both bigger and stronger and more skilled than every player on the court. This is back when CU was in the big 12 and the games were a lot more physical.I knew he was a lottery pick for the first couple of minutes seeing him in person. He could’ve been an all-time great.
"was said to be loud in more ways than one" hahaha my guy I see what you did.
Beasley stayed long enough to make a lot of money. That’s still a successful career.
He could've been a great. And he chose not to be
@@koga477 okay that's not everything other things in life to achieve
He could've made way more had he worked harder
@@manager4409 averaging 21, 9, 6 at 53% fg and 44% 3fg his last 8 games. Wtf u talking about he couldve been better?
Hopefully he manages his money in the future
Great share! When he signed with Kansas State in Manhattan, KS he was perhaps one of the greatest, if not the greatest College Basketball player ever to play in Manhattan. At the College level, M. Beasley was almost unstoppable. I was glad he was on our team, and not the one down the road. He's been fairly productive in the Pros, but hasn't lived up to the hype when he was drafted #1 overall. I didn't know about him Mom passing away & I'll say a prayer for her & Michael. May God hold her in his arms, and on Angel's wings.
Beasley is one of those dudes that gets into trouble and often disappoints you with his actions, but only because you like the guy and see the good in him.
Half the shit gets pinned on him when it wasn’t even him he’s always been fucked by the media his whole career
This guy could've been one of the greatest, I remember seeing him do crazy things in pre game and practice...he was an athletic freak
I've never really lost hope in him, he's too talented, hopefully he can get on a team that finds a way to help him and get a great send-off for his carrer.
The fact that they are from the same county, (Beasley & KD) is nuts to me! I use to literally think they were 1000% the same caliber of player. I hope he gets another chance, and it would be dope if with the Nets & KD, I think playing for a contender would help him tremedously. One of my favorite players for sure!
One of my favorite players. Love his energy…got to see him play in 2016 when he was on the Bucks before I knew he was HIM! Nice vid as well.
I was killin' it with him on 2K.

Yo no matter what he go thru he's still a decent basketball player. Like why judging athletes like Beasley by saying smoking weed ruin his career while we got some athletes rather football and baseball that we considered them hall of famers used Steroids and HGH during their careers. See that man we too quick by judging the wrong person all our life just leave Mike Beasley alone hell as least the guy stay in shape every day.
We judge them and we judge him as well lol. His immaturity is what cost him his career
He never grew up hard for real some folks make it hard for themselves.
I think @HoopIntellect was getting at was that the league trashed him for that, which we knew then was wack and now the league thanks to NBPA getting that policy hashed:) out. Peace to Beaz, I see the Melo from the left side.
@@sargeranders9546 he still in the league....you see all the teams he played for? He Stay with a job all over the world. period. you Make millions in your carrer yet?
@@piffsponza What I meant by cost is that, he severely limited the potential and ceiling that he could have very easily reached if he was mature. Plus yeah I'm sure he liking the money but I think he'd like it even more if he broke out like the All-Star/Fringe Superstar talent he deserved to be.
He’s on the Nets now. He’s been killing it this summer. B Easy 🔥🔥
He just got diagnosed with COVID ......
@@kevincai5491 RIP
@Al Yes. And Jamal Crawford who most likely will play in 2021.
I think his career goes to show that even with elite talent, it takes real focus and dedication to be a superstar in the NBA. He showed glimpses, but could not do it consistently because of off-court distractions (whether self-inflicted or not).

I met him at the heat game the other day he was there just to watch the game it’s sad he definitely should still be playing !
hotel room was LOUDDD i see what u did there lol
imagine how level headed you have to be to make it once drafted into the NBA, how much inner strength and mental toughness to manage the millions of dollars, the girls, and be focused to be the best ball player you can be, while 250 other players try and be better than you, would be an experience, no wonder many crack under pressure, I still like me some Beasley though
You see what happens when people get their income tax money lmaoo
I bumped into dude into in a clothing store he's huge.So Kd must be a giant
6'11 but really 7 feet tall
Wow great vid man keep it up Fr. I never knew his story I just knew his work ethic was questioned a lot in the league. I hope Brooklyn considers giving him another chance for this upcoming season as it wasn’t his fault he just got sick.
Beasley was the most dominant college basketball player I have ever seen. Wish he would have played all four years but understand he had a huge opportunity to make money
Former teammate with Michael Beasley at k-state. I was at both his draft announcement and 2008 nba draft. He had everything in the lil apple Manhattan KS.
Klay injured.. Beasley can help Warriors and most teams. Kerr would be nice for Sir Beasley. With expanded rosters due to Covid 19, the door is wide open.
KD really must have thought that he was 6'9 and said Beasley was 6'7 lmaoo
KD was probably 6"7 in that early video then shot up 3 inches

Great video man. Appreciate all the work. I’m a die hard fan but I hope Beasley balls the f out for the Nets
Imagine if this guy had a Magic, MJ, Malone or Duncan type of teammate to rip him up whenever he didn't work/act proper ?...Don't know about D.Rose, but even 80% of that would be nice..
Man I like Beasley I just hope hes doin good and keeps ballin🏀🔥
Aye great vid, great content, great job researching. Keep doing ya thing
Appreciate it!
Talent and maturity don't always coexist...
Why is it so hard for some people to just do what's right? I guess I'll never comprehend what some players go through.
The thing is B Easy had all the talent to become an elite player, it just never materialize whether it be because a lack of mentorship or because he didn't want the spotlight on him. I believe he just didn't want to be scrutinize like a LeBron or a KD
great video bro, hope my guy can get a multi year contract
I feel like the media used to demonize weed so fucking much and I think the NBA didn’t give him as much minutes bc he had a bad image. You can see from this video even with off the court troubles when he had good minutes he was playing well 🤷🏽♂️.
One of the best lefty’s of all time thou. Easily
That’s a high conversation that 10 percent of ur brain
I find it so unfair how Beasley will have to serve a 5 game suspension in the Orlando bubble considering that the NBA is not going to be testing anyone for it while in Orlando. They should just let him play because of that.
It’s dumb they test for it in the first place, especially given he was playing for the lakers, who are in California, and his circumstances at the time more than warranted him coping in that way smh
here from next chapter. love beasley
He played good for the Knicks!!!
I think Michael Beasley is one of the chillest dudes
You not tryna Be 69 (6’9”)
in 2020....😂😂😂
Teams messed up trying to change his position from PF to SF. He was small for his position but played far bigger but could not defend SF's and playing outside-in as a SF instead of inside out as a PF lead him to be an inefficient player.
Had he come out of college now, the NBA would value his skill-set even more. And left him at the 4 spot because he would be a match-up nightmare and forcing teams to go small on him. Because going big means he would score at will however he wanted.
@@davidcombs3617 I completely agree. I wish he stayed in Miami. That culture was the perfect environment for him. Going to two of the worst run franchises at the the time, Minnesota and Phoenix, really hurt his development and reputation.

Hell of a video man good job

A really skilled player unfortunately his has bad I.Q. & lot bad decision thru his life
Hate to see wasted talent
It seems like a no-brainer to select D-Rose back in that draft, but Beasleys numbers were legit insane as a freshman in college, better than Durant's the year before, and it was up in the air who the Bulls would pick
I love Michael Beasely, Melo from the left. dude is a straight bucket, unreal confidence, averaged 19 in the league, sheesh thats tough
This could also be called how overpolicing of marijuana derailed a career.
Beas still one of my favorites got game for days and a walking bucket same for Jabari Parker hope both get theirs
You hope at some point that he would focus on defending . The buckets are always going to be there for him but that's not always going to get him significant minutes
For sure. He definitely has the physical tools to at least hold his own and he’s had some good moments, particularly in Milwaukee, but it’s probably far too late for him to put it together, sadly.
If the dude do that I can see him winning most improved player or sixth man of the year
No doubt. Period. You 6 7, 6 8 , you got a defend a little. Even real Melo found that out, in one of the most publicly uncomfortable situations in sport in a long time. Undoubtedly, Beaz is nice, but can't rack up -4 one on one. Once he buys in, he'll stick.
My sense is that Beasley lacked guidance, or willingness to accept guidance, and he suffered from addiction and mental health problems. When I've seen him talk and heard about his behavior, it sounds to me like he might suffer from bipolar disorder. I pray he doesn't end up like Delonte West because I've heard the two compared to each other numerous times. He was extremely talented but I think his career, at this point, is over. I doubt he has much of the 30 million he made in the NBA left. Keep in mind that, after taxes and expenses, that's probably a net of 15 million at best.
Perfect stretch 4 if you have a rim protecting 5 that can rebound and wings that can defend. His immaturity screwed him along with a low basketball IQ. BUT, what also screwed him was early on teams trying to make him a small forward. Hopefully, he can catch onto a playoffs team's bench as a 4 man that can get you buckets quick. I'd take a gamble if I'm the Bucks. Greek needs to be able to play the 5 down the stretch at times anyways.
He's the king of pickup games. That's about it 🤷♂️

additionally KD further down in his career, even as a MVP , has said Beasley can get his own points against anyone in the league.
I really wanted him to continue his career in the lakers. Who knows he still might get a chance here.
crazy how the league is a perfect fit for him now with stretch 4s & 5s with space to operate yet he isn’t in the league smh ..I get he comes with some baggage but still he’s worth it ..perfect 6th man to come in and give u 14-18 a night & keep the scorin pace up

Think about all the lies people say....about how marijuana isn't addictive.
This dude couldn't stop smoking.
Ricky Williams couldn't stop smoking.
This guy was obviously super talented, but drugs ruined him.
I'm sure he's going to be broke af either this year or next.
He had his fun, but the drugs (and lack of larger payouts) caused him to not reach that potential.

Needless to say I think it made the whole game better for me , my builds ain't even fun without his jumpshot in custom jumpshot creator even with all the other good jumpers available , his was just clean and we'll balanced all around in form and delivery and precision
He just needs to be in the situation, he put up great numbers in NY and played well of the bench for LA. I actually think Lakers should give him another ru, he is more talented than Kuzz overall
Everything I watched Beasley play he went off and dominated. I only watched him play about four times but he sure played awsome those games.

Michael Beasley is the down side of God-given talent.
Never feel pressure coming up, so they crumble when they come across it in the highest levels.
Some guys can ball but are not really about the Business of the NBA. He stays catching checks though. I root for him. I keep holding out for 1 really impactful season where he plays both sides of the ball with focus. We all have different priorities.
I dont care what anyone thinks of what im about to say, but he was the best mid range shooter I watched. So smooth
and you got Dom Kennedy at the end!

I thought Beasley would dominate most nights as a pro, but he just fell off after going pro. I never got that becauseyou either hoop or play. He was a hooper.
Michael Beasley instead of Chris Bosh might be the worst what if I’ve ever heard Lebron wouldn’t have won a ring in Miami 😂🤨

His madness is what made him a great player
He's as offensively talented as any player I've ever saw
There’s a lot of players, a lot less talented than Beasley playing in the league today. I liked his work ethic and I always appreciated the offensive energy he could inject into a team especially coming off the bench for Lakers. The NBA has gotten so white shoes these days, they don’t ever try find a place for players like him..
Because they focus on 3 and D players that can play team ball and and tall long wingspan players.
@@dkarmusic5424 I know but you've got to admit this style is getting so boring to watch. The NBA finals were only interesting during the stretches where the 3 ball wasn't getting hit. No highlight dunks, no crazy and 1's or hard fouls, even Butler was getting soft when he would drive to the rim :(
Frfr I love Beasley he’s better than most think
