I am Hooser. I just started getting into football. I knew about Andrew Luck and watched him play growing up but I never knew why he retired. I did research and discovered the tragedy that this man endured for the people who didn’t care about him. Anthony Richardson won’t be the same case because he doesn’t have the stress and expectations as much as Luck did. Plus I don’t think AR is willing to fight through injuries for the team. I don’t think Lucks story should ever be forgotten. This was the worst thing people can do to one man, trying to fight for a team. The fans booing at him for essentially saving himself from more heartbreak really makes me hate the fellow fans around me. However…. I think IF (not should have) he had decided to stay with the Colts he would’ve prospered. The O line was good and our O line now is pretty solid. He would’ve had incredible offensive weapons at his disposal. I think the words in this video ring true. Luck is the biggest “What if?” In NFL history
This is ridiculous. Andrew Luck was able to keep $25 million dollars when he retired instead of returning it as part of the contract. The owner was so rich he allowed him to keep it. I have no tears for him, you shouldnt either.
I was never a colts fan but i always truly like Andrew luck as a player it was truly sad to watch him leave the league but ir was for the Best...he came he play and left before the colts head Office took everything from him
There's nothing tragic. The funny thing about QB is if you get the ball out quick enough, you can cut the hits to take in half. Luck held on to the ball way too long and never ever slid.
The Colts front office, cheapest in the NFL then and now, v refused to sign even an average front line to protect him. They, as always, shot themselves in the foot- or Luck’s shoulder.
Not really tragic at all. He's a multi-millionaire and he left the game because he realized his health is priceless. Smart guy with a bright future whether that's in or out of football. No, not even close to a tragic story.
Have to wonder if Luck regrets not going into 2011 Draft. Would've gone to Carolina, better OL, RB, defense, went to Super Bowl. He could still be playing.
I remember that first matchup with Denver and Peyton Manning. It was an epic struggle and Indy got the win, but I remember Luck taking way too many hits. I think he was out for a few games after with a lacerated Kidney. That was only the beginning of his career. So Luck beat Manning, but Manning played every game that season and Luck didn't.
I played soccer for many years, my biggest regrets looking back, why did I play many games hurt when I didn’t have to. Now I can’t even walk hard. Taking care of yourself is your responsibility because, after the football years you are on your own and none of these people will be there to deal with your heath issues. Luck did the right thing by retiring . He played football since he was a child . All that contact and hits takes a toll on a player . And being a qb all his life takes a toll on your arm . If he played longer he could have been seriously physically and neurologically damaged permanently, like for example Steelers 19 year center Mike Webster, RB Earl Campbell and others . As a Patriots fan I have always disliked the Colts, in sporting terms. However after what they did to Luck I despise them with a passion. I wish that pathetic franchise would fold.
Indianapolis is a horribly run franchise. Their owner should be in prison for the things he's done off the field. The only reason he's not in prison is because he lucked (no pun intended) his way into the 2 best QB prospects in the last 30 years and had some success. If you get drafted by the Colts, do what John Elway did... refuse to play. Elway saw it 40 years ago. The Irsay family is corrupt to the core. I feel bad for any player who has to play for that organization.
As a longtime Bronco fan, I was shocked to find out Russell Wilson threw 35 touchdown passes for them in 2018 (14:02). Traded away all those draft picks for him last year was even dumber than I thought.
it's amazing these billionaires don't remember their lessons. Protect your assets. They were "Lucky" enough to draft, one of the best QB prospects ever and never invested in keeping him safe, with OL and blocking TE's.
A lot of people don't realize that Andrew Luck's combine numbers, although they weren't as good as RG3's, they were comparable to Cam Newton's who was drafted the year before!!!
What's tragic about it. I just played college football and only can imagine the talent it takes for anyone to make it to the NFL. In the grand scheme of things he had nothing to worry about.
Tragic is not the right term to use for Andrew Luck. He got paid even in the last year where he didn't play. The only tragedy is the football card collectors who spent big money on his autographed rookie cards and serial numbered rookie cards and lost all their investment in this dude. I didn't mess with him because I didn't like his game like others did. He threw to many picks. I just collected Brady, Mahomes and now Stroud.
Luck went to Stanford for a reason - intelligence. He was smart enough to see that wouldn't last long in the NFL if he stayed longer on a team with an offensive line that could never give him the protection he needed. He always had a mediocre offensive line and the punishment just wasn't worth it.
Tragic? No. He made his money then VOLUNTARILY left the game before damaging his brain or other bad injury. Good for him to be able to comfortably live the life he wants and do so in relative good health.
Yes Luck knew this too... LUCKS heart just wasn't into it.. He wanted to read books and develop property, and make money in business without getting hurt...
We had an extraordinary quarterback and didn’t wise up to protect him. Now AR has an injury about every game we play. It’s not looking great. We need to wise up
People seem to forget that when you're drafted first overall you're usually on the worst NFL team. It's a miracle what he did with the colts no offensive line having knuckleheads. People also seem to forget how many interceptions Peyton Manning through is rookie a year.

I wouldn’t call it brave that’s for sure 😂 More like cowardly / robbery brings into question how much he wanted to win to begin with . Lol like really the man was a turnover machine . Don’t just look at his interceptions which are up there but fumbles
I am super hyped for a new chapter for this channel I hope this new channel succeeds
Luck really was a beast, i miss seeing him out there. No shame in cashing in your chips while you're still ahead. He is a smart man and i wish him the best.
Wow, this channel looks pretty cool 😎
It even sounds just like you frfr
Is this your second channel?

This is a good channel, love the way you edited this.
The fans were trash for booing him off 😢 he was with the wrong team. Defenitely deserved better.
What a shame that the Colts refused to keep him protected.

I'm not a Colt fan but I've never been able to figure the front office not protecting him. Such a waste of a great talent. Good luck Andrew.
That wasnt first matchup we played them in 2013
Love the Football Vids keep doing them 🔥🔥❤️❤️
Outstanding editing. Great job!!!
He was getting to be one of my favorite qbs to watch as well… sad to see it happen to him.
I played soccer for many years, my biggest regrets looking back, why did I play many games hurt when I didn’t have to.
Now I can’t even walk hard. Taking care of yourself is your responsibility because, after the football years you are on your own and none of these people will be there to deal with your heath issues. Andrew luck studied at Stanford.
Might be the greatest what if in NFL history.
There is nothing tragic about an individual deciding to put his own mental and physical health above of a punishing game, His decision to leave leave the NFL proved to me how smart he is
He put his health and well being over the gross incompetence of the owner and coaching staff. The proper decision.
Punishing game??? Haha!!!
@@ryanstatt9910 Why is that funny? It’s a brutal game that has left many players crippled physically and mentally for life. No laughing matter
@@jeannieglickson3365 because it's flag football now. It has been since the late 90's. Not saying Luck wasn't smart for walking away, the Colts made him a millionaire. But to pretend the game is brutal now is just stupid.
@@ryanstatt9910 How many victims of CTE are there after the 90s from injuries suffered in a practice - not even in a game of high stakes? You, sir, are obviously talking out of your arse about "flag football" or have never been hit by a monster 250-pound star LB.
Brett Favre went as far as telling kids don't play football if you like other sports , and for your life long recreation, and thinking ability, and for your family, friends and your own sakes
Webster and Campbell weren't qbs, and therefore no one cares about their health
I wish I had a TRAGIC Story like Andrew Luck's.
Yo keep up the work dude you're really good
He’s worth about $200 million, has a masters degree from Stanford, has a wife and family, and left the game before life debilitating injuries; all before the age of 40. I’d be ok to live such a “tragic” life.
You deserve more views & subs! Keep up the great work
To this day, I remember how the colts fans booed him instead of Irsay and his incompetent front office. They deserved mediocity from then on.
Andrew luck was a very good quarterback it's terrible that he injured!!!!
i was just thinking the other day how funny and wholesome Luck was during his career. His mic'd up moments are hilarious
I grew up in Houston and went to Stratford high school. Craig James also went to Stratford. They were kick ass high school football players for sure.
Never got to fulfill his potential as a QB, but he's a success as a human being.
As a Colts fan I have nothing but respect for Andrew Luck. There have been many decisions that the management has made that make no sense to me, no reason to blame Luck. Luck is an intelligent, humble, and kind human being who realized early in his career...it was going to cost him dearly if he stayed and played. Good for him.
This is a gonna be a great channel!
A kid dying of cancer is a tragic story Andrew Luck is living a great life.
I agree, but remember, UA-cam panders to idiots who either
A. Have never had a bad thing happen to them
Or
B. Mommy and daddy can dumb it down for this sorry generation to understand without getting triggered.
Imagine Andrew luck with the browns o line
Heck he might still be in the league
Do you mean it’s bad or good cuz it’s good
@@camdensports3553 if he had the browns O-line, he might be a super bowl champion by now
I hope Luck is able to enjoy his life beyond football. What an incredible young man.
as a former Colts fan that doesn’t follow football anymore this guy was the guy. i knew him, i watched him and grew up with him. i’ll always remember what he did for the Colts.
How they booed him was IGNORANT
Great, great channel! Surprising your sub rate is so low. Liked and subbed
Who here came from Nonstop and is ready for the best NFL channel
Me
As a longtime Bronco fan, I was shocked to find out Russell Wilson threw 35 touchdown passes for them in 2018 (14:02). Traded away all those draft picks for him last year was even dumber than I thought.
Luck didn't receive the accolades he truly earned. Glad to see this video focus on how truly great he was/is!!@
it's amazing these billionaires don't remember their lessons. Protect your assets. They were "Lucky" enough to draft, one of the best QB prospects ever and never invested in keeping him safe, with OL and blocking TE's.
I wish all players had this same mindset. So many players have no life after because of injuries.
As a Cowboys fan, we haven't won squat since we had a great qb. Not building a line quickly is absolutely absurd.
Colts fan and an Andrew Luck fan. Loved Andrew luck the person as much as Andrew Luck the player
As a long time colts fan, I miss Luck so much 😥 I wish we would have gotten him the protection he needed earlier
He really was the greatest QB prospect. It's really unfortunate
They gave him 87 million reasons to stay home. He was smart enough to listen.
He was way too good for that sorry excuse of a franchise. Owner, fans, city - none of them deserved him
Luck went to Stanford for a reason - intelligence. He was smart enough to see that wouldn't last long in the NFL if he stayed longer on a team with an offensive line that could never give him the protection he needed. He always had a mediocre offensive line and the punishment just wasn't worth it.
He was hurt so often, and couldn't do it anymore. I wish him the best.
In 2023, Luck began serving as a part-time volunteer coach at nearby Palo Alto High School, working with the school's junior varsity team.
Imagine being the organization that sucked the love for the game out of potentially one of the greatest qbs to ever play
Any one better than Andrew Luck? God bless u talent!!
Tragic? No. He made his money then VOLUNTARILY left the game before damaging his brain or other bad injury. Good for him to be able to comfortably live the life he wants and do so in relative good health.
The worst part was is that the year he retired was when the Colts actually managed to put a good team together, and FINALLY invest in a decent O-line
Yes Luck knew this too... LUCKS heart just wasn't into it..
He wanted to read books and develop property, and make money in business without getting hurt...
TOO LITTLE TOO FKING LATE
I remember him torching Tyrod Taylor and Vriginia Tech in the Orange bowl.. What a great player drafted to the wrong team.
We had an extraordinary quarterback and didn’t wise up to protect him. Now AR has an injury about every game we play. It’s not looking great. We need to wise up
Russell Wilson was still playing for Seattle in 2018, dude
People seem to forget that when you're drafted first overall you're usually on the worst NFL team. It's a miracle what he did with the colts no offensive line having knuckleheads. People also seem to forget how many interceptions Peyton Manning through is rookie a year.
Such a bummer, the what if of it all is tough
