I so admire this young man his insight into his Māori identity as well as his Aussie Aunties and Uncles difficult journey after displacement from their land and the trauma they experienced is honest and refreshing he gets it, he’s a light and Im sure his love will inspire and change a generation of youngsters. Every person has worth find their strength, nurture and encourage and watch them bloom.

Ka pai Stan, I remember when you started out and you appeared at Matatini Christchurch, I was one of those shy ones who wanted to just hug you because you are Maaori and you won Australian Idol. But you looked too shy too and I think at that time we were excited behind closed doors, I was busy with Aukati kaipaipa at the time, making Aotearoa smoke free and thats coming up in 2025. I cant sing to save myself, but I am kapa kaiarahi and will do my best for my whanau too. I love your work Stan, you are amazing, God Bless to you and your whanau and be safe.

OMG totally understand the shift in how we were bought up to free ourselves from that since having our children and then grandchildren. It's been a presence and showing and giving Aroha. Letting them know that they're of value and loved. The most meaningful is that they know their whakapapa and their turungawaewae, these mokopuna being born in Australia and Aotearoa.

Kia ora Stan, I loved your singing, I have been a fan of yours since you were on Australian Idol, and was really amazed when I watched this video your journey and all the struggles you've been through with cancer, since your singing Career, NOT to mention your childhood upbringing and abuse. I really do understand every word you have mentioned in this interview, what you have said about teaching this generation these days, about living life, and teaching them right from wrong. Your The Man, you keep up the good work. :)

Wow! Stan's message is truly amazing. It's so uplifting and heartwarming. He is an inspiration and a shining example of how we can make a positive impact in the world. We can all have a dream, and with hard work, we can make it happen. Hearing his passion for advocacy and his belief that everyone has value is truly inspiring. He has touched so many lives, and I feel fortunate to have witnessed his incredible story and shared the emotions it evoked in me. Thank you!

💖🙏 Nga mihi kia koe e Stan!! You're life's journey, both good and bad no doubt resonates with a lot of not only Maori, but people in general. I am thankful to have watched this interview, and i also feel soooo happy that you are standing, sincerely n respectfully in a world that has not always been open to our people. So as Maori I am forever appreciative of you representing us and our tupuna with the respect and dignity for ourselves and others that we hold most important in our tikanga. God bless and all the best for you and yours in the future xx 🙏💖 xx

I totally get what he’s feeling. If I were famous would be my feelings exactly. Even on social media I don’t want my whole self/life to be public. Being a peasant I enjoy my privacy. But if I were a celebrity I know it comes with the territory yet one MUST demand respect for their standards. Stan has standards and he owes himself to protect what but he can💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾😍💕

Hey Stan - thank you for your honesty here - such a very valuable good cause. I also just watched another video regarding your life of child abuse etc, and which also brought tears to my eyes. Your life in so many, many ways has been like another Australian singer - it's uncanny - I encourage you to read his new autobiography titled: Saved by the Light of the Buddha Within. What a similar story to yours it is and so full of valuable information that everyone needs to know about.

Stan you are an exceptional human, if I ever get the pleasure of running into you it would be an honour, you are so humble and real “and awesome”. What a journey you have been on and what a lot you have to share. I love that you are so in touch with your purpose. You radiate an energy that just touches people right in the heart. Your voice is heavenly and affects people in unique ways. Thank you for sharing all of your gifts and wisdom with the world, you truly are inspiring and I absolutely love you and everything you represent ❤ So much respect for you as a person and as much as I love your voice and your music on their own, I am loving learning about you more as a person and what you stand for, it makes me feel so much more connected to your songs. “I am” brought me to tears and it has infected my soul it plays over and over in my head especially the chorus and I can’t even speak the language hahaha I don’t even know what I’m saying 😅 but I love it. I have been binge watching you tube reactions to the song because I get to share the experience with others who had the same response to hearing it for the first time. It was so rich with culture and such a deep message that I can’t stop thinking about it and all I can say is THANK YOU 🙏 I also watched the movie because the song compelled me to and I loved it, now I want to buy the book and give it to my mum for Mother’s Day 💕 it’s touching people’s lives all over the world. Love you Stan, you’re what I call an earth Angel ❤
