British civilized the world but those who benefitted do not reciprocate or rather thankless
You too migrated from Polynesia and the others too are migrants. You and your community is civilized, educated in English because of the migrants, be thankful to those selfless souls.
Great interview Julian
she is going to be good leader
A wonderful interview and kōrero - ngā mihi

I cant wait for Aotearoa to cut ties with the British Monarchy.
Kia Ora Julian, so glad to hear she lives a splendid life and eats well with high class people. Respectfully, the question that was burning in my puku wasn’t asked, how does her role serve the people of Aotearoa? And can her role as governor general assist with our current situation regarding acts proposed bill. If not, why? Hei aha, as per your always, the essence of respect throughout this interview was graciously apparent. Ngā mihi..
Sign back MAORI land
I really really really would love you to be our prime minister because you will look after all of us
Go for prime minister! You will win because you are real heart and soul
Watch how your views from 24k in year to over half a mill in less.
Sovereign!!! Are you asleep, sleeping Danish word Sove means asleep, sleeping , word reign means estates, testate or intestate land inheritance The stat(e), estat commonly known as state or State government Sovereignty political policies of zero off set. Law demand rite, right of claim. Wake up !!!
This is one of my all time favourite episodes to watch. I have long admired Dame Cindy Ciro from when I first read her pānui as the Children's commissioner. I really value hearing her discuss her background as she will inspire many of us who come from humble beginnings with less than reliable mothers but with other loving whānau members in our extended family who can provide unconditional love and stability. I also really value how Dame Cindy Ciro saw an opportunity to invite Elon Musk in to the space opposite the UNHCR. That is the mark of a really intelligent and forward thinking wāhine. Another brilliant interview Julian. Ka mau te wehi.

The Governor General is not supposed to get involved in Politics, her role is one of being apolitical
Hana for pm of Aotearoa!!! 🖤🤍❤️
Wow I could listen to her talk all day. Each story beautifully shared with an overwhelming amount of wisdom & passion. A stunning interview overall.
Indigenous people need to stand together, world wide
I’m a non Maori but she is the most disrespectful and the most disgusting person of her for not removing the bill Cindy your a disgrace to all Maori and non Maori very rude. Cindy you’re not a Maori and stand up for your people!
She is Maori, her whakapapa is undeniable. Her korero is very respectful, and it is clear where she stands on indigenous rights nationally and internationally. Thank you for personally standing against Seymours bill, but please don't disrespect our wahine for the choices they make.
@ well she’s a disgrace to her people
E hika to kuare!!! This comment is not only disrespectful but a complete display of ignorance. Dame Cindy Kiro, as Governor-General, does not have the power to remove or reject bills. Her role is constitutional, meaning she follows the advice of the democratically elected government. Blaming her for your frustrations shows a lack of basic understanding about how our political system works. And to call her “disgusting” and a “disgrace”? That’s where you’ve truly overstepped. Dame Cindy Kiro is the first wahine Māori to hold the position of Governor-General, a role she earned through decades of tireless mahi for Aotearoa. Her work as Children’s Commissioner, in public health, and in education has improved countless lives, including those of Māori. She’s an embodiment of mana and leadership. Your insults are not only wrong-they’re a slap in the face to everything she’s achieved for this country. If you have an issue with a bill, take it up with the MPs who passed it. Don’t attack a Māori leader who is simply fulfilling her constitutional role. Your kōrero is dripping with disrespect and ignorance. Learn our history. Learn how our political systems work. And most importantly, learn some respect.
I don't know where the indigenous 100 comes from, I didn't think there are any Moriori left, they were they indigenous people, not Maorl
Do you know anything Terry? 😂😂 or did you read that on the hobson pledge Facebook page and believed it. If you knew anything you would know that Moriori migrated with the first Māori that arrived to Aotearoa they just migrated to the south island if you where educated you would know this instead sharing false information
The Maori were the first to NZ. The more original were the first to the Chatham Islands.
@@wawaz692maoriori are not extinct aswel .. The maoriori are the same people as the maori . When you are looking for land you dont send a whole civilization to a land without no knowing . It's common sense to send scouts. They were the scouts . And obviously some stayed and some returned with a verdict for everyone to proceed . .Europeans written history is constantly chopping and changing .. . 🤷. Terry playing with Mrs palmer too much while hangelica is fingering the nose . 🫣. Nah I'm sorry Terry . Your name is calling to be roasted . 🤐🤷
Did The MoriOri tell you that??? " REGURGITATOR " MoriOri Never Settled On The Mainlands They went straight to REKOHU THE ISLAND THEY STILL RESIDE ON 😂😂😂😂😂😂😭😭😭😭😭 Aue!!! I love it when HATERS think they matter 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
The only question that matters, because it speaks to the CHARACTER of the person and whether they're good or bad is: Are you right wing or left wing?
Left
Alot of Māori will call her a Kūpapa just like they were calling the black Ferns Kūpapa's for taking photos with Charles and Mike for getting funding from the government for his organisation and the list goes on..its Māori vs Māori these days the division is at the door.
Great to see this interview of Cindy our G.Gen. We happened to be at the same staff meeting at Auckland College of Education once. Great to see you Cindy.
Her ancestors are smiling.
What a awesome interview! Such a lovely lady and proud that she is our GG. But also with the situation that's going on atm I have wondered where she has been in this whole situation with the bill and to know she has to sign the bill off if it's accepted after the 3rd reading omg ka aroha ki a ia. But her kōrero was so relatable for a young Māori! Love a trip to Hadads out Te Atatu 😂😂 iykyk lol Ngā manaakitanga Cindy I āu mahi katoa.
Dear Hana, sending greetings from Paris,as an indegene Sri Lankan living here I feel so greatly satisfied that a person as young as you are could light a fire of dignity and pride to a just cause.Wish you the very best.May GOD bless you.Mahi💪🏽
Very proud of you Dame Cindy. Much dignity in a very public and difficult role in maintaining calmness, peace and unity in our country.
What a beautiful kōrero. Such a pleasure to witness. Ngā mihi nui ia kōrua
Dame has the opportunity to connect with many diplomats around the globe. And ahmmm......I'm trying to find reasons she will change future approaches, for the better of our country and tangata whenua. I think she suits that role and she's most gracious lady. Ngā mihi ki a koe, e te kawanatianara o Aotearoa
It's not her place, she has to remain impartial, because she's the Kings representative, and she can't be seen to prefer something political over something else. That's what parliament is for, and the government to find these better approaches. Etc
It's the way she says it I guess, very mindful
Why the Irish cannot do the same? Why? Anyone knows?
She is so well spoken
Happy and hopefull after hearing this young Maori woman with such bravery and intelligence. Future for Aotearoa will be bright thanks to her and all the others members of youth 😃
He mea whakamīharo rawa atu tō mana e kō, e titiro ake te tini me te mano ki a koe, mā te atua koe hei manaaki.
Congratulations Hana, the goddess energy is returning to Earth & you embody that clarity & strength of an ancient wisdom holder !
She is personally inspiring me, young generation from Indonesia..
She is amazing
You're amazing!
She's a disgrace.
