    2 years and 36 000 thousand views, and I just realised today that I say Christmas Moss in the video, and it is! But I put in the latin name for Java Moss in the description. Sorry Fishlovers.
    Correct one is : Vesicularia montagnei

      This is actually christmas moss, but thank you for the comment. I say chritmas moss in the video, and it is christmas moss in the video. But I just realised that (36000 views later) I put in the latin name for Java Moss in the description. Sorry for the confusion.
      Actually I have had succees keeping Java Moss with goldfish. But it all just depends on how much you are feeding them. You can carpet a tank with goldfish if you feed them enough in theory. :-)

    Just curious what’s your opinion on Monosolenium Tenerum and Süsswassertang after trying them in your aquariums. I just dropped a huge ball of Süsswassertang in my shrimp tank and immediately regretted it 😅. Although shrimp love it, cleaning under loose Süsswassertang is mission impossible.

    • @CrazyAquariumGuy
      @CrazyAquariumGuy  2 роки тому +2

      I love it in a lowlight tank, or in a highlight tank with floating plants. The colour gets amazing, Lok at my posts. You will have do scroll down a bit. But I had javamoss, and anubias nana petite, then covered with duckweed. It is like a green wounderland. I regeret not keeping plants from that tank. And ofcurse subwassertang. Absolute amazing when you get a lot covering a whole 3D background, or a big driftwood piece. :-) I never ckean my gravel ever. Just add more plants and they will. Not in any tank! EVER ;-)

    • @CrazyAquariumGuy
      @CrazyAquariumGuy  2 роки тому +2

      If you have good lithing. Lokk at my neontetra tank. Helanthium Tenellum. Easiest carpet plant ever. Needs soil though. But you can have soil underneath the sand if you like sand on top...

    • @DennyMK007
      @DennyMK007 2 роки тому +1

      @@CrazyAquariumGuy I was referring to me just dropping a ball of Süsswassertang loose (not tied or glued to anything). I have a 10 gallon gold apple snail tank where I dropped a volleyball size clump of Süsswassertang. I was cleaning and replacing water weekly, but 5-6 weeks later I saw detritus worms in the tank for the very first time in my life. Stirred up the Süsswassertang and there was a ton of mulm. Between the dozens of baby apple snails and the loose plant, cleaning took 4 days, 4 50% water change and probably flushed bunch of baby snails and parts of the plant. Thinking of either making some sort of cage filled up with Süsswassertang, or getting rid of it totally.
      Java and cristmas moss are 2 of the possible substitute plants. I like them both.
