PLEASE NOTE - discussing which accessory is best might seem simple, but it’s actually extremely complex. This is a part of why the game is fun, but also, please be kind and patient if you think we’ve made a mistake - happy to address in the comments or in a future video. Edit: first update - I have under-represented the amount of damage boost horn of fury is offering because you start rebuilding rage after the active skill of the primary commander is used. The conclusion however is the same.
hello sir. does the shield lucky coin not work on shield commanders like charles or alex? cuz i learned from your other videos that shields do not stack so how about shield from item
Thank you so much for making this! I’m 7 days in and this really saved my arse bc I had 1 shot to choose the best blueprint. I could’ve chosen so poorly!
I can't imagine the time you put in for all of us. Multiple accounts in the game alone takes tons of time, plus videos AND backing up your info with your testing🤯 Super appreciative of all you do. I can't ever knock your arguments the simple fact you know what your talking about and back up what your saying ♡♡ Thank you. I wish I had found you when I was new to the game could of saved myself some rok ptsd🤣
I love how you always use the marker-function of UA-cam so that you have a clear structure as a viewer and know exactly whats going on! I‘d like to have a tier list for the different equipments aswell just like your commander rankings, because I think that there are epics that have better use than some of the legendaries for lowspenders and so on. Great vid as always keep it up!
Great info and nice to see how you would use them in what situations . Personally - Not going to craft any anytime time soon(probably never), still working on epics
watching this video for a 2nd time and 3rd time, still very impressed by Chisgule's rage break point theory and rally/single attack/aoe attack rules, great ways to think of different items! In addition to that, would like to add: 1) item real impacts on battle engagement: the stacking items had a flaw, which is during certain battles, enemy can micro away their troop and when they had faster retreat speed, dagger and others stacking items won't stack after a short period, then enemy can re-engage. so over this scenario, the items such as vengeance, and the normal attack necklace will be better as i call them 100% chance work once in battle engagement unless facing artiemesia's city defense 3rd skill, which completely void your attack. 2) RNG effect on item: I am a player who has lots of hero with random number regenerator skills and this sometimes proves to be either overpowering when all skills pop or underperforming if all those 10%, 30% not pop. So same logic as RNG on items, it is more of a player play style, some like to bet on RNG results from hero skills and items, and some players like stability and constant output damage or mitigation. 3) item chemistry with hero, putting Guan, YSG with 5% nuke damage, is way better putting same item on charlie mattel, right? But if you put vengeance book on a Nebul, or artila rally, you punish the swarmers more. Putting Horn of Rage on a richard LEO combo may provide more frequent heal against saladin and alex reducing your heal by adding a extra heal time. A scola coin got put on Harold instead of a tank may allow him to survive longer and bring down more enemies. This is what makes the game fun, is continue to think out of the box like Chis.
if u us your commander active skill on 7th turn. Right after this your rage is 0 and u can build rage again . so it is not 9 turn and u have this 2 extra turns to build rage. Over time of few active skill cycle horn will reduce time for 2 turns . So more time horn become more useful .
Chisgule! You need to mention that if you have additional damage commander's like Artemsia, ramesses ect , that you will get more value from the ring of doom because it might proc on the additional damage
For newer people, what chisgul is saying, if your commander usually hits 910-940 rage at turn 9 for example. It mean even if u get 50 rage during the prvious rounds won't give you the skill hit. In which case you would have needed at least 2 procs. And with silent trial same logic applies.
Chisgule, when you look at greatest glory and ring of doom did you account for how long it takes for doom to pop off (12-15 turns I believe you said) so with GG you would have 12-15 turns of more troops doing 5% attack 5% counterattack. So when ring of doom finally pops you would be doing 50% more damage for 2 seconds with a potential 10-15% less troop strength. I believe GG would be better and it would definitely be better in field fights where you engage and then disengage less than 10 turns every push.
This is how I feel most of his videos. This is good commander. Wait that's a good commander. Next thing. All the commander is a good pair except 1 or 2. I could done all that myself.🤣🤣🤣
Yeah...I don't think it resets to 0 either. After active skills fire off, you can see the rage bubbles don't go to 0. So in a short battle, Horn/Silent Trial wouldn't be that great. In longer battles...they will allow you to eventually outcycle opponents active skills.
And the important text in Edward's skill is "will not drop below zero." Meaning, after using the active skill the presumption is there will be positive rage.
You have a good reputation for valuable information among my alliance mates. I wanted to say that I prefer this style of your vocal opening to the earlier "late-night-TV-huckster" openings. It's still engaging and has positive energy, but seems to have more sincerity and less hype. A positive direction in my opinion. I've always liked the animated portion of your intro: short and sweet.
So I‘m a garrison person and hence I crafted the horn of fury for multiple occasions. Let‘s be real, just few whales can have several sets of legendary accessories, so I want to stick with something which is great in all situations and not just really great in some. And even though it‘s a 30% chance I see it hit so often in the reports that I start to question it. E.g. HA Z5 flag fights I looked into had like 6x activating it within the first 9 turns (!!!) That‘s just insane. And I think for the long run it really adds up. What I would like to see would be maybe something like a tier list. You do this for the commanders too, like rank them for: a) AoO b) Garrisoning c1) Rallying c2)rallying w/ swarm c3) rally w/o swarm d) open field e) ... And I mean this would only be your opinion (just as with the commanders) and you could update that list. But I think people would really appreciate this, myself included. Edit: Or maybe do it for famous commander pairings. With no active skill damage ring of doom becomes way more powerful on Attila Takeda than on a skill damage commander e.g. Edit2: Forgot the appreciation. Thanks Chis, still very helpful!
Very informative vid chis, thanks for the hard work. For me the only thing I am thinking about is how long it would take me to gather enough material to craft any of these accessories lol.
Concealed dagger stacks refresh to 3 once 3 is met and it proca again; the initial stacks of 1 & 2 refresh to max time. This is why the dagger is so much better
Only if you had 100% uptime on 3 stacks of concealed dagger would the damage boost be ~7.5-8% for only one target being hit. We know that there will not be 100% uptime on 3 stacks however, and that often the number of stacks will fall off back to zero. I observed that on average dagger is doing LESS damage than ROD against a single target when only one person is hitting the target.
Since this video Chisgle has found that there is a rage cap of 220 rage per turn. That is probably why horn of fury doesn't really help if you have already hit rage cap.
@Chisgule Gaming you provided no data on on what the damage boosting effect was for Pendant, just a straight comparison vs ST. Please post observed DPS increase or don't tell people that the most accessible f2p legendary accessory is bad.
You should do another video on the rage breakpoints and turn cycles. There are a lot of people potentially wasting points in talents as well without gaining another turn. It would be nice to know what the breakpoints are for when you gain an extra turn.
I’d like to see what you would think accessory A should be on commander X. And go through the line up. I am using Richard and Constantine as a tanky march. Would Vengeance and coin be the best choice? Should Trajan have a horn and War drums? Please tell! 🙏
Horn: you are taking into account just damaging active skills, every commander cares about active skills, it triggers buffs or debuffs or damage. Hence increasing the cycle is great anyway
Normal attack (x% increase) = troop attack(x%increase) + counter attack(x%increase). I think both get increased x% whole. In that case joan gives more attack than charles.
We need a test with concealed dagger on players, because if barbs have more health proportionately than players do, then concealed dagger would presumably be better when fighting players than when fighting barbs.
Could you make a more in depth review of each? I am especially interested to see how a guan performs with vs without a horn of fury. I was hoping to boost guans rage regeneration so much that he keeps the target silenced as long as possible, which I think would be insanely powerful
Helpful info, altho your assessments mainly come from rally/garrison perspective. Would be more helpful to include more about field fighting or 1 vs 1.
Guan+Leo get big benefit with Horny Fury. It helps to fire skill 1 turn faster in first cycle. It goes on 8 sometimes on 7. And without horn it goes on 9 turn.
what i would like to see is if mora's web or concsealed dagger give a better chance for ring of doom to trigger more frequently. if you go to any of the training buildings and open up troop stats view and press on the defensive stat it actually says it there: "Defence: a unit's ability to resist enemy attacks" so if you know any1 with both of thoes eqiupment pieces i would really like to see them in action together :D
No all defense does is reduce damage a very overly simplified version of calcing how much damage troops will do is march A’s total attack stat divided by march B’s total defense stat divide by March B’s total health stat.
All the items are situational. One thing is undisputed. The silent trial is the must have item for all situations. Legendary items are specific Tailored items for certain commanders. Pendant of Eternal night is an archer item. Ring of doom is Atila takeda item and coin is for garrison commanders. The dagger can be used for any situation. Including garrison or rally in swarm scenarios.
What about the 99% of people who just play open field? Rally leads and garrison players are very small percentage of population so would be nice to understand open field scenarios
@@ScottCochran for open field using the dagger would make your enemy weakened to all swarm attack. It’s like when u bring an aethaelflaed with u to the field. The whole group benefits from hitting the target u are debuffing. This is how this item would work. So the effect is compounding.
@@aogtou8194 Does that make dagger best for open field? I’m really looking for most damage output in 1v1 open field (ruins/altar). Primary March is Guan/Alex.
@@ScottCochran honestly because the game is centered on a group ability and group effort. An open field item such as the dagger definitely makes your group as a whole a lot stronger if everyone targets that individual march which you are debuffing. While most other items buff your own march. This one is meant to debuff your target. This is why yes I think this is possibly the strongest field march legendary item in game.
@@aogtou8194 maybe I have different experience in open field war than you. During KvK all fights are usually a giant cluster and are usually just 1v1, not manyvs1. Sometimes it works out where we swarm but more times than not I’m fighting in Altar & Ruins 1v1. Rallies are also usually 1 rally vs one city, sometimes we do a few rallies but more times than not it’s 1. What is the best accessory in that scenario? I know everyone says Ring of doom for 1v1 rallies but. It hearing anything about open field
They changed War drums to your march and 2 allied. If you have 5 marches dose it land on your own? If so wouldn't 3 set of Drums, 5 rings, 1 dagger , 1 web be the best for your 5 march?
Break point doesn’t matter. It’s just about speeding up the skill process. Fast rejuvenation is literally the only goal. Screw if it goes over that doesn’t matter it’s about how fast I get to the rage requirement
Great video chis! It’s important to bring the discussion to a common topic like damage inflected but also important to note that the horn brings on active skills that aren’t necessarily about direct damage infliction. Like Alex or Charles shield that reduce damage, and how do we translate that to direct damage inflected? Makes the conversation much more complex...thanks for all the time you put into doing these test.
imagine 5 people wiith concealing dagger swarming a garrison in AOO. I assume those stacks of each accesory stacks and the garrison will be heavily debuffed. maybe thats the reasoning behind that those numbers are not that high in those slots t o prevent that kind of situation.
regarding what you said for dagger. Taking for granted it's 2.5% per stack, isn't it the case that every (other) swarming march will benefit from the stack, since it's applied on the targeted march? compared to ring, which just buffs the march wearing it? So, isn't it that all those marches swarming deal extra 2.5%X stacks to the target, since it's because of the debuff applied to the target? Please respond chis. Thanks!!
@Chisgule There are Screenshots from Support stating Greatest Glory does not boost Counter Attack Damage. Doesn‘t it make it one of the weakest legendaries then?
If I were to craft any 2 for myself(mid way through kvk 2 currently saving materials to be able to do just that by HA) it would be mora’s Webb and concealed dagger. They’re the two most universal throw them on any commander regardless of what you’re doing and they will give you the same exact effect. The same argument can be made for the ring of doom for an individual march rally or garrison but it offers no benefits to multiple marches hitting the debugged target.
I have another question, do you have reports where skill damage is actually accounting for 75% of your overall damage? I did a somewhat meaningless test on a barb with CC/YSG and the skill damage was only about 30% of my overall damage. I know obviously you can get combos where they have much higher skill damage, but 75% seems high.
Each epic equipment will each perform good in different part of your roll ..such as ...Rally(skill or attack or AOE) ,Garrison ,support,etc...so that why Lilith try to launch variety so you can have think and fun and pay money to have all as possible...right? Then if you want na test and review report you can do one by one in category of roll part of each commander that you want na used...
Sorry Chisgule but many people are testing the items and the math behind those numbers. Ring of doom is actually the worst item like herald as a commander. We tested it with same number of troops with ring of doom and tested the same with daggar on A/T and the results are not even close. The damage boost which you are declaring by ring of doom is 6.66% so the damage boost of greatest glory is close to 5% as the damage of both items is additive rather than multiplicative. The damage factor formula takes the health as the base denominator and decreasing health in 1 stack deals 17.4% more damage and in 2 stacks it jumps to 43.4% and in 3 stacks it jumps to 57.1%. Video is good but it still lack the evidence which are contrary to your assumptions.
Hello chisgule, I hope this is not a noob question, is the debuff from accessories only apply to the target you hit or will it also apply to anyone that got hit by his/her spell as well? For example, if YSG use Concealed Dagger ot Silent Trial, when his skill activated, did the debuff also got apply to anyone that got hit by his skill? As far as I know for skill debuff, commander with aoe like Aetheflaed will debuff everyone that got hit by his skill right? but not with accessories? Perhaps can you make video explaining this on detail if you have some spare time, thanks.
Chisgule, I watched a Wick video where he states that Normal Attack Damage = Attack Damage + Counterattack Damage. If this is true then wouldn't the Greatest Glory only add 2.5% attack damage and 2.5% counterattack damage??
Greatest glory adds 5% attack damage and 5% counterattack damage. See Joan’s 4th skill, or this video for a full explanation ua-cam.com/video/sJ0e5pCSzLo/v-deo.html
My lucky coin didn't work on my commanders. How the lucky coin works. I use it on Richard and Alex for battlefield and they came home very fast and no troops.
Sorry to hear that. There is something you should know. Only one shield can be active at a time. So, if your Martel's shield is active you won't get a shield from the lucky coin.
Legendary items are near un-obtainable for a FTP or low spender...how about the items at a tier one or two below legendary? How to optimize the best bang-for-the-buck?
f2p and low spenders should not be trying to craft any legendaries. You should be focused on epics which give only slightly less value but at a fraction of the cost. Its better to have all epics rather than 1 or 2 legendaries. It amazes me how many people I have to explain this to that legendaries arent for f2p and low spenders.
@@Lord_Omi that is not true! maybe you're a new player as you're not taking into consideration the time spent in the game. It's not only about money! There are many F2P or low spenders that with time build up T5 and legendary commanders. I'm in this category of players and I'm going to craft one of this piece of equipment right now, and I have several legendary maxed and equipment. I mix legendary equipment (when it's very valuable for me) with epic. So you don't need to explain others what to do...
Question im a f2p Cavs user can i use same 2pcs accessories like "Call at the loyal" for Belisarius for extra speed the buffs will work or not? just curious if that two will work or you need to use two different accessories?
So wouldn’t that mean the dagger in a murder ball or ruins scenario would be the better pick than the ring of doom? Multiple commander taking advantage of the debuff. In other words the more open field accessory?
Well thank you for the answer. I would agree with other people in making a video listing where the accessory would be best in. Open field, rally, garrison and swarmed or solo. I know we have limited accessories now so it’ll probably be a short video
@chisgul i came here in search for an andwer i did not find. Does accessories debuffing stack with commander debuffing fir the same type of stack debuffed?
It does work and imo is a must have for guan alex. I have been using it a long time and have done a lot of testing with it. It triggers his expertise skill and as long as I use guan alex I will have my lucky coin on him.
Gear, Com Pairings, Talent Builds, yadda freakin yadda are all dependent on what you want to do & your game play style ... beyond that looking at conditional procs on talents, skills, buffs/debuffs you still run into the mercy of luck (rng) - this is why you and an opponent can multiple different matches with the same com pairings, gear, builds, etc. and get different results match to match. I facepalm & die a little inside every time someone asks me in game something like: who's the best com, who pairs best with who, what's the best piece of gear, what com should I invest in next, yadda freakin yadda - Are you F2P or P2W? Are you a fighter or farmer? Do you prefer 1v1 matches? Rallies or field battles? for normal game play or for special environments? What civ/special units do you have? The game is seldom one size fits all.
does the dagger stack with each other? i.e. if 2 marches both have daggers, will they stack up to 3 stacks each, with 30% total for 6 stacks? or will it be 3 stacks maximum but be able to rapidly stack and keep at 3 stacks due to the probability?
PLEASE NOTE - discussing which accessory is best might seem simple, but it’s actually extremely complex. This is a part of why the game is fun, but also, please be kind and patient if you think we’ve made a mistake - happy to address in the comments or in a future video.
Edit: first update - I have under-represented the amount of damage boost horn of fury is offering because you start rebuilding rage after the active skill of the primary commander is used. The conclusion however is the same.
Haveing an exact 1000 rage either with tree build or with Horn means u can throw points on other stuff and not rage u can experiment with that...
Perhaps is better to have skill damage equipment for defending your city 🤔
Ring Of Doom and perhaps 5% skill damage is a solid combo

I decided to go for the book of vengeance. Can't wait to equip my expertised city gatekeeper with it and go on all milly.
Guan+Leo get big benefit with Horny Fury. It helps to fire skill 1 turn faster in first cycle. It goes on 8 sometimes on 7. And without horn it goes on 9 turn.
How about Guan and Alex?
what i would like to see is if mora's web or concsealed dagger give a better chance for ring of doom to trigger more frequently. if you go to any of the training buildings and open up troop stats view and press on the defensive stat it actually says it there: "Defence: a unit's ability to resist enemy attacks" so if you know any1 with both of thoes eqiupment pieces i would really like to see them in action together :D
Well, Ring of Doom has great buff but to be honest 90 legendary mats for 10% chance is a bit harsh. That s also to consider...
120 mats.
Most people don't need to craft dagger when they can have their allies apply the debuff for them 👌
Great video chis!
Does silent trail ever drop from barb camp now? If so maybe they changed the drop rate? Been hitting lots of camps but no fragments 😅
imagine 5 people wiith concealing dagger swarming a garrison in AOO. I assume those stacks of each accesory stacks and the garrison will be heavily debuffed. maybe thats the reasoning behind that those numbers are not that high in those slots t o prevent that kind of situation.
They dont stack
Wichones do you think is best for atilla/ takede rallies on stronghold and cities?
Is a guan scip march good for horn of fury or would it be better to have ring of doom?
Does Dagger Stack if more then one in Equipment on other commanders
What is the best two accessory equipment for garrison?
Yes! What is it?
We need to know! :D
Lilith needs to hire Chisgule
regarding what you said for dagger.
The same argument can be made for the ring of doom for an individual march rally or garrison but it offers no benefits to multiple marches hitting the debugged target.
at 9:14 It's funny subtitle says scoliosis lucky coin.. anyway tnx for the video
Have you done a guide on troop composition for beginners? Like how many of which troop type to bring for epic commanders and such :)
so you're trying to tell me the Horn of Fury is strong on Edward and weak on Khan?
Not exactly. That depends on the break points and other factors influencing your rage.
true. khan with horn of fury worsens his already noticeable overraging when hes paired with ysg
Do you only take counter attack damage when rallying a city ?
So what was your take on Seth’s Call? It does help allies but the self buff of 10% seems decent.
Horn and lucky coin are they good on guan for open field?
If yes which one first do I have to take? Horn or lucky coin?
Thanks
Each epic equipment will each perform good in different part of your roll ..such as ...Rally(skill or attack or AOE) ,Garrison ,support,etc...so that why Lilith try to launch variety so you can have think and fun and pay money to have all as possible...right? Then if you want na test and review report you can do one by one in category of roll part of each commander that you want na used...
Sorry ...each Legendary equipment...
Show me a report with 50% more damage from 3 stacks of dagger. No offense, but You’re absolutely not reading that report correctly.
@@Chisgule I will throw those reports your way. :) Its just for 2 turns but its much better than you expect
@@Chisgule Any follow up for this?
@@shomailjameel14 1 year later and a lot of players will agree now that you were right from the start
I can't understand so horn of fury works on what commanders or pairing
Wow A+ for effort😳
How do you work out if you actually make the breakpoint by using the horn of fury WITHOUT crafting it?
😢 Help me ....is the Horn of Fury good for my Archer Commander YSG & ZHUGE & BOUTICA & THUTSMO??? PLEASE answer ❤️
Perhaps can you make video explaining this on detail if you have some spare time, thanks.
i always notice overraging when I use Khan+YSG...wonder if its worth for devs fixing
Definitely one of your very best video, thank you
Is normal attack = troop atk + counter atk?
If not, what is normal attack equivalent to?
Yes.
Well thank you for the answer. I would agree with other people in making a video listing where the accessory would be best in. Open field, rally, garrison and swarmed or solo. I know we have limited accessories now so it’ll probably be a short video
Would there be any benefit to having vengeance and greatest glory on the same March? Or has that been tested. Seems to be the best of everything
Best for a garrison you know will get swarmed aggressively.
@@Chisgule I feel like Pakal would really do well with vengeance to boost his expertise skill?
Hello boss, i got the dagger already. which 1 should I get next? Horn of fury or morus web?
@chisgul i came here in search for an andwer i did not find. Does accessories debuffing stack with commander debuffing fir the same type of stack debuffed?
If you have to choose which you take for first, delane or silent?
Hi ! Is scolas lucky coin a must have for guan/alex ? Does it even work properly ? Ty !
It does work and imo is a must have for guan alex. I have been using it a long time and have done a lot of testing with it. It triggers his expertise skill and as long as I use guan alex I will have my lucky coin on him.
@@Lord_Omi what's your next legendary assessories equipment on guan and alex?
Moral of the story.... rally leader = ring of doom + swarm structure with dagger and web for max benefits. It’s all dependent on your role
Bingo. Everything is good, but is most suited to a specific role
Would be interested in a similar comparison like dagger and ring just with the two similar things, the dagger and moras web... 🤔
Dagger is better, see this video: ua-cam.com/video/ru-agAk3-iU/v-deo.html
So dagger and web is best for open field
so would the coin and vengeance be a good combo?
Perfect explanation.. The white damage.. Nailed it bro
Normal counter impossible to track properly
So what should i get for archers openfiled and rallies?
does the dagger stack with each other? i.e. if 2 marches both have daggers, will they stack up to 3 stacks each, with 30% total for 6 stacks? or will it be 3 stacks maximum but be able to rapidly stack and keep at 3 stacks due to the probability?
Amazing video thanks a lot.. but does Theo cancel the dagger with her expertise?
Yes
Is sacred dominion good its a crap ton of attack
