Choo-Choo Charles is a 2022 indie horror video game developed and published by Two Star Games. The player controls a monster-hunting archivist with the goal of upgrading their train's defenses in order to fight and defeat the titular character, Charles, an evil spider-train hybrid monster that wanders the landscape looking for people to eat.

When Kevin plays a game its either one of two things that can happen, 1 the game is extremly weird, 2, the game isnt weird but Kevin somehow makes it extremly weird

I've watched so many YT'ers play this game and Kevin is the only one who
A.) Tried to kill the npcs.
B.) Had trouble with picking locks.
C.) Upgrade the train evenly, rather than one at a time.
D.) Tried to hit Eugene in the beginning.
E.) Didn't get caught by the first person guarding the egg.
F.) Beat the game without 100% completion.
G.) Dies at the final battle with CCC at 1% health (quite the achievement).
Truly a unique player indeed, and *fashionably late* as always, I enjoyed this playthrough. 🙂
and also not getting the bazooka (don't know the name in game but the strongest weapon) for the final battle! I'm impressed

fairly sure AstralSpiff ran over Eugene in his first playthrough. He also ended up just continuing backwards, so he did all the hard quests first
That old guy had the confidence of a honey badger. Pretty sure I personally would lose a fight to a regular train but he wanted to go straight fisty cuffs bare knuckle brawling with a demon hell spider train. Mad respect

I like how Baby was able to beat the boss without a max upgraded train, even Arin committed to all the side quests haha
He rather be killed a hundred times over by Charles than complete the few side quests he have left. Thats one stubborn baby.
And he didn't even realize that you're supposed to switch between the weapons.

@@explorer47422 Well, you have a long barreled sniper rifle for very long ranges, a machine gun for consistent damage at mid and close range, and a flamethrower for when he's right in your face.

As an American, I'm going to assume that all trains in Ireland are giant spider trains.

Fun fact: the invention of the steam locomotive happened when the english came to ireland and decided to use the giant train spider carcasses for transportation. During the industrial revolution they then managed to reverse engineer the shell of the monsters so they didnt have to kill these things anymore.
This led to a rapid population increase of the giant train spiders.

Yeah, I remember that episode. The flashbacks to the Train Spider’s backstory were pretty sad, though.

My favorite thing about this game is that opening the map causes your character to seemingly have an out of body experience. It scared the shit out of me the first time

I’d heard of this game and assumed it was just one of those dime-a-dozen indie horrors were you get chased around a house or forest by some silly horror character. But I adore the mechanic of conducting a train around an island(first-person game were you’re on a train? Yes please! So cozy!), and having actual NPCs with quest lines, and everything else! Really makes this title stand out.
it definitely deserves its fame. probably one of my favorite indie horror games, the atmosphere and buildup is amazing

I don’t know what I was expecting from the title, but it wasn’t this. 😂 Charles is surprisingly terrifying, but this video is hilarious. Even the NPCs are both terrifying and funny. I love this.
As a manager of a dairy department in a store where I get yelled at everyday about how expensive our eggs are I was happy to hear Kevin give them a shout out as our store is not the only store rising egg prices. 😅

I think its less "refused to weapon swamp" and more "forgot/didnt even consider he could weapon swap", which its more Kevins style.

All of the NPC not moving their mouths when they talk makes this game so much creepier.
I left UA-cam playing on the TV while I went to go get some grocerries. It was on some Minecraft playthrough. I come back, and Kevin is in some generic looking RPG, on a rail gun pointing off the back of a train. Then, first thing I hear is "Oh Lord, he be coming!" and a giant train spider runs over the hill and attacks him.
Yeah, I'm not sure what else I expected. Really should've seen that coming.
Already seen other UA-camrs play this.. But I can't ever not watch a CallMeKevin video. He makes everything more fun and interesting lol

Other than the RP games where Kevin annoys (or, occasionally) nicely interacts with everyone, this is my favorite video. I listen to this when Im in hospital and just need to chuckle and relax. I also now say, "onwards and upwards" or "downwards" as Im driving. There are MANY quotes I use from this, unintentionally.
I've been hoping to see Kevin play this ever since I heard it was based on a Stephen King thing. I love watching him play creepy stuff for some reason, it's like watching a horror movie with a friend.
Kevin is the only one I know that uses one weapon only to kill Charles while others keep swapping weapons and win the game easily. Kevin just make things harder for himself lmao.

Switching between Bob and the flamethrower helps. The flamethrower keeps Charles farther back.
Oh btw you were kind of supposed to hotswap between weapons whenever one is overloaded.
Though in reality you can just beat it with only Bob, you'd probably do better by using Bob only for Long-Medium range and then swapping to the flamethrower when he's close because that slows him down which creates more distance between you and Charles, at which point you can swap to bob again. Meanwhile you also want to repair your train whenever you swap guns and your train is damaged.
The bridge got a redemption arch. I never thought I'd see Kevin cheering for a bridge after what happened.
This is one of my favorite Kevin videos. I’ve watched it so many times. I had strep throat when it initially came out and it was so funny that it actually managed to distract me from the excruciating pain!

What if the train you're driving IS Charles and its conductor...Jim Pickens. The spider train is actually just trying to keep you out of its habitat because it knows what you did to those poor Sims.

How on earth did he never realise he missed a weapon quest? It was literally right next to one of the primary missions.
Wait, did you miss the whole gold mine thing? The mines they found the eggs in were gold mines that ended up not being able to work because spider train kept ambushing the guys hauling off the gold so everyone ended up unemployed.

At first this looks like a stupid meme game, but it acutally looks pretty damn fun. I love the whole open world horror concept.

I’m always scared of horror games or at on edge, but Kevin makes it so much easier to watch! The jokes and easy going atmosphere help me not be terrified watching this at 3 AM
When I saw the premise of this game, I really thought you were gonna get upgrades that gave you spider legs and a creepy face on the front and you become the new Charles.
