I love how Norma is meant to be this deceitful cruel lady who pretends to be nice to get information out of michonne and then turns on her, but in this playthrough, by virtue of Kevin's Michonne being such a psycho, norma just turns into a genuinely all around reasonable character who just gets shafted by the evil Michonne at every turn
lmao I was wondering how the plot would even continue if Kevin's Michonne had been nice to Norma. Norma seems like the nice person being wronged a hundred times over in this playthrough
Honestly Norma isn't that bad of a person and seams like a decent leader
@@supertrike5893 she comes off much, much worse if michonne acts in the more vanilla goody-two-shoes way, because the game will still force this same conclusion kevin had, just getting there in a different way
@@supertrike5893 yeah, she gets robbed in the apocalypse, she lets them go. When they turn up again, she still tries to be reasonable and get their side of the story. Michonne and co is absolutely the villains here.
edit: she gives two hostages as a gesture of good will and tries to stop the violence even when michonne shoots her brother. This women is as much of a saint as you can be in the apocalypse.
lmao I haven't seen any other playthru of this game, and I was sort of wondering what the deal was with the main villain seeming so reasonable. like "can't tell whether this was an interesting morally gray story of differing survivor groups clashing with each other or if Kevin has just irreparably broken the story"

Choosing to stay with your kids there at the end instead of saying goodbye would’ve resulted in Sam dying and the other girl tremendously pissed off at you which would’ve been the most Kevin ending possible

Norma gets robbed twice, loses people she cares about for pretty much no reason, has her settlement burn down, tries to talk things, gets betrayed, and dies.
I think we just killed a saint.

Those made me laugh so hard, I rewatched both those bits about fifteen times. LOL.

i've never seen a serious playthrough of this but from this perspective, it really really looks like norma should be who we're routing for here. especially at the end, sure there's a chance she was lying and also her people probably would have attacked anyway, but assuming you had randall alive she was nothing but cooperative and just wanted to get her brother back
I played the game is diplomatic and cooperative as possible. The exact same number of people survived. Really disappointed me. I mean, I know TellTale’s reputation, but goddamn. The ending is EXACTLY the same.
@@Engardian From the wiki, there are only four (or five) characters whose fate you have control over: Oak, Sam, Gabby, Jonas. Since Jonas and Gabby die instead of each other, Kevin somehow managed to end the game with the most possible number of people alive. But it is possible to get a worse ending in terms of who survives.
(The wiki also lists the guard Michonne strangled as determinant. But to me it's unclear if he's dead or just unconscious.)
I played the first walking dead one
First play through is great, you see all sorts of areas where things would change from your choices
But, you try the 2nd playthrough, and NOTHING changes
Anything that does, is corrected within 10 minutes of the next chapter and its all identical again.

Kevin has been blessing us with hour long + episodes as of recently, that means Papa Pickens is treating him well, kevin truly is a strategic marketing genius.
In this timeline, Michonne must've been a US army recruiter. It's the only way she'd be so used to sending kids to the front lines.
I can't believe they made a game in the series that has you play as the antagonist, how impressive and bold.

I love Michonnes character. Her backstory in the comics (and to a lesser point, the show,) was amazing. The way she had her husband and brother in law there and she just went from housewife to super badass warrior. Thanks for the entertainment, Kevin. I was a little worried when you said you were going to be uploaded less, but I'm fully supportive of it cause you seem a hell of a lot happier, and you're putting out bangers that last for like 4-5 normal Kevin videos. Love you, man 💕

I decided to be entirely mute in my first playthrough. A menace to everyone- even her own people, because they *never* knew what she was going to do. I refused to tell anyone about the hallucinations- so they just thought id disassociate for like five minutes.
Twd michonne was actually a really enjoyable game, it often gets blindsided when people play the telltale games. So happy we get a Kevin marathon of the game

I'm really enjoying these long playthroughs, they're amazing! And also, i feel like Kevin's chaotic playstyle reveals that illusion of choice Telltale games used to have ... where you feel like your choices kind of didn't change anything in the end
Yeah, agreed. If you just enjoy a good interactive story it's fine, but if you really want choices that make big impacts these are not the games for you. Second time I played through the first Walking Dead my illusion was shattered and I was so disappointed

Kevin, I just wanted to say. Your choices were so terrible and sad, I decided to look at the good choices. Although your choices were incredibly selfish, they were also the most consistent and the story was more in line with how I would have pictured Michonne, had this been a movie revolving around a supporting character of a bad ass survival hero origin story. “I am Sam: Featuring Michonne, as the grumpy reluctant teacher”

I love how there’s a very clear back story for Michonne in the show that came out first, she has one son and her partner and his friend did something to cause his death/didn’t prevent it. Then the game is just like “she has two daughters that are haunting her!”
Comic Michone has two daughters one of which survived the story and reunited with her… Amc and comic Twd are two different stories

the comic universe and the tv show universe are different. the TellTale TWD games are based on the comic universe (this means that Lee's story could've had its differences in the tv show universe?)
