- It's been FALLLL to long .. get it!? LOL. Today I am going to show you not 1 but 2 fall wood round ideas and how you can make them step by step! I know there are some of you that really love the wood round diys so I knew we had to do some fall designs. I'll also be showing you a couple scrap wood fall diys! I made my first round a couple weeks before memorial day (a stained 14" round ½" thick) I stained it with water downed brown acrylic paint then watered down red and blue to make a flag round. I used white permanent vinyl and cut out stars with my cricut along with the words God Bless America. I took it to work for my office and everyone loved it. In fact someone ended up buying it from me...lol!
I have since made a total of 9 signs and 6 of them I was asked to make because people wanted to buy them from me. I have a coworker who asked me to come up with 2 she wants to buy as Christmas gifts to give a couple people.
I am jealous at how good yours come out after sealing them. I have a problem with my chalk paints (all paints for that matter) wanting to smear no matter how long I take to let it dry.
Hi Sheryl! That is so very awesome! Alright so what you need to do is paint, then spray a light mist of rustoleum clear matte spray and let dry. Dries like super FAST! Then apply your Helmsman.

These are so pretty. If you take one long string and pull it , it will fray easily.

Absolutely beautiful! I especially love decor that's a little more minimal and simple. And I'm going to look into those IOD stamps. All of the ones you've used are nice, and since I don't have a vinyl cutter, these would be a good alternative to painting.

I am one of those subscribers who first started watching your channel for the wood round/sign videos. I have learned so much by watching how you do your wood signs. You are by far the best for so many reasons that I'm not going to get into right now. You have helped me up my game for sure. As a bonus, after watching for a while, you have inspired me to try so many other things. I love the wood signs, don't get me wrong, they will always be my favorite, but I have been trying new things that I normally wouldn't if not for your channel. A lot of other creators use one of the blades (I don’t think that’s the right word to use) if their scissors to fray fabric and even paper. I start a part with my scissors like mentioned above and then pull threads out until it’s frayed to my liking. Love your projects in this one. ❤️👏🏼👌🏼

Use a sanding block to fray the fabric. That plank board is so cute. I love it. I have some fence pickets I need to cut down.

Love all the wood projects! I have 2 HD wood rounds I want to do as gifts but I haven’t got up the nerve lol! You make it look so simple and I know you been doing them awhile but I really don’t want to screw up, so I continue to watch over and over! Maybe I need to get some rounds from dollar tree an practice!
