What's the best way to improve communication skills fast? I'm professional communication skills expert Dan O'Connor, and in this video series, you're going to learn how to use my three-step framework to start seeing noticeable results the very next day after you start. Now, this is a webinar that I put together for some of my private clients.
    #communication #communicationskills #communicationtraining
And I just recently decided why not share this on UA-cam? So that's what I'm doing. I've broken it up into parts, and this is just part one. So if you find value in this video, make sure to subscribe to this channel so you'll be notified when the additional parts are released and stick around until the end and you'll learn the three most common mistakes that people make so that you can avoid making those three.
Trust me, they will not work for you either. And with all of that said, let's get started. I'll see you on the other side.

Thanks bunches. I think what is truly powerful in this video is the reality that the dyslexic brain struggles (language, spelling, etc) so most dyslexic people end up seeing big pictures or think outside of the box because the dyslexic person spends most of the time in the right brain. Interesting when one does genealogy, trying to understand the names can be difficult as before the 1750 words could be spelled as they sounded...institutional educations systems changed that.

Your content and values are wonderful you've helped me very much I was feeling stuck but your reminder that the difficult people in my life are my teachers.. I knew that theory but just didn't apply it to this on going situation. And you reminded me of the answer.. Communicate with love don't let them own my mood or my power.. I so needed this reminder. Thank you best wishes Valerie legg.

Bang on Dan. 100%. I've read crucial conversations and Getting to yes and how to win friends and influence people. It was intellectually interesting And helps with mindset but it doesn't give you the tools. Listening to your videos and purchasing your VIP course was a great investment. Practicing the phrases regularly makes all the difference.🙂

Thank you so much for that testimonial, Ryan. That is what I try to do--give you practical tools (words, phrases, mindset, body language et al.) that you can use to protect your boundaries, deal effectively with people, and preserve relationships. Theory is necessary to get to the practical--that is it is important for ME to know the theory behind the tools. But it is not necessary to bore OTHERS with that theory. People want words, not theories and that's what I try to give you--as best I can.

THANK YOU, DAN. You saved me from having to relive the pain of past family gatherings and all the arguing, tension and snide remarks that envelopes the room whenever we get together.
As I attended these past holidays with my family and family-in-laws, mercifully I kept envisioning your face as I heard your voice coaching me…
    “What gets rewarded gets repeated.”
”I put a moratorium on that topic. I’m sure you can honor that can’t you?”…
    “Why would you say that?”…
    ”That may be but…”
    “When you’re saying _____?”… or ”Am I correct in what you’re saying…..”
    and
”Well, that may be Mary but…”
(This one was my favorite because everyone I said it to kept asking me, “Who’s Mary?”) 😄
The scripts you give us to use not only work, but is realistic and not heard on any other channel. It improved the way I handle these situations and consequently improved my life all around.
    Thank you, Dan. 💜

There's a "co-manager"... ya know... who... I actually said to today, after he complained that I hadn't offered any solutions to an issue that keeps coming up about another co-worker:
"I literally just stated our 3 options for solving this issue. Just because you don't like those or they won't work for you doesn't mean I didn't state them. To clarify, once again, they are:
    1) We invest time on more training.
    2) We invest money on better training.
    2) We help the problematic "co-worker" find a new job - somewhere else - before they're actions go from "issues" to "lawsuits". They have too much energy, and need more challenges or they get destructive around the workspace."
Within an hour, the co-manager found more challenging assignments to train the coworker on. Within an hour. By the end of the day, she was exhausted and seemed so happy - she no longer had enough energy to get... persnickety.
    Good times!
    Thanks, Dan!
If I had to describe your work in one word, it would be:
    Effective!
    Yeaaahssss! Thank you!

      Edited also.
yes I did edit and originally said souls but then I thought that may be dishonoring God and Jesus and it sounding awkward to reply to but you wrote it out after I edited. But the truth is that our sanity is part of our soul, so is our will. Soul is identified as having three parts right.. of mind will and emotion, means all three of those. And you are helping and training all three
