Had breakfast at Sweethearts many times. Kings Cross Sydney. I was in the Navy in my early 20's. Wololloomooloo Bay onboard HMAS Brisbane. Used to go eat there all the time.
Cold Chisel are o their 50th Anniversary tour. I saw them in Perth, Western Australia in October. Truely, they are still performing so well. This is a song they have been performing on their set list. have you done Letter to Allen (1982 Germany Rockapalast version) or Ita (a song Don Walker on keys wrote about Cleo Magazine editor Ita Buttrose). Then there is Mr Crown Prosector, Four Walls (about being in prison over Christmas), Merry go round, Taipan, Conversations, and Plaza just to name a few. or even some of their covers like CCR, Long as I see the light which there is only a vocal of. Trying to pigeon hole them into one genre, well, that is going to be difficult. Rock, Rockabilly, Blues, soul, ballads or in this case a little reggae. They are master musicians, and the harmonies, well they are also superb. #ColdChiselaremynumber1. They have done sell out concerts everywhere around our big land, and will head to New Zealand too. Not to bad considering the youngest of the original band is Jimmy at 68, Ian on guitar is 69, Phil on bass is 70, and Don Walker on keys is going to be 73 on 29th November, in 4 days time (2024). Jimmy did solo concerts earlier this year, had h surgery in August for a staff infection (he has had an earlier hip replacement) and then got back early October for the start of the Chisel concerts….. Not to mention his second heart op that saved his life late last year. This man is a work-a-holic. ❤Jimmy Barnes. His wife Jane and children are a big part of why he’s still gracing our stages.
I just rewatched your wild thing reaction. You have grown. Welcome to Australian reggae. Breakfast at sweet hearts. I think you would appreciate Letter to Alan, live in Germany. Sweet, thanks.
One of their best songs. I had so many breakfasts at Sweethearts, after a night of partying.
Moss is probably and arguably one of the most underated guitarist out there
