    The most disturbing scene in Nope to me was the part where JeanJacket is hovering over their house and you can still hear the screams of all the people. Then, all at once, there's a sickening crunch and the screams go silent as blood begins to pour from its mouth onto the house. The part really got me

      All i can think about during the scene of them being inside jeanjacket is, 1 person with a pocket knife and jean jacket is gonna have a bad day at the very least. Its a big monster but this is texas. Those mfs carry knives in holsters that look like machetes, or concealed carriers unloading inside of it, it eats hundreds of people.

      @@cesar-mn5ts its most likely far more durable than our own intestines. The thing traveled through space like it was taking a walk in the park. No simple knife or handgun is gonna work.
      Probably a hand grenade will do it though.

    • @pillowmoment
      @pillowmoment 21 день тому +14

      @@cesar-mn5ts tbf jean jacket’s skin is probably very thick compared to a pocket knife, but one of those big kitchen knives could do some minor damage if a person inside had a clear enough mind and was given enough time. Its immediate reaction would be to try and crush anything inside of it, though. But the one time it was exposed to barbed wire it did change into its defensive form, so maybe it would just do that?

    • @cesar-mn5ts
      @cesar-mn5ts 21 день тому +4

      @pillowmoment usually things that fly dont have thick skin, it would be heavy and have a hard time flying. From what I understand its not an alien its a natural home grown organism we don't ever notice until the movie. Usually internal walls are even less thick because you don't need to normally protect your insides, and jeanjacket avoids eating things like the practice horse so theoretically its skin wouldnt be too tough for a pocket knife to go through. Even if you did stab your way through it though you would be fucked either way since it literally chills in the clouds all day🤣🤣. Can at least go down with it though and save others.

    Seeing Fire in the Sky was what gave me an insane fear of aliens after my dad watched it around me as a kid. The body horror and the helplessness in the abduction scene, the lack of answers for what the aliens ever wanted stuck with me. Which set the groundwork for me being scared shitless by Nope, which is the only movie that made me have an actual panic attack in the movie theater

      I went through the exact same thing as a kid. Saw that needle scene when I was around 7 and it has been a vivid memory in my mind for over a decade. The aliens aren’t even terrifying themselves, it’s their silence. The calmness in their movements contrasting with the utter terror in the character. And how there is literally nothing he could’ve done or said to stop them. I think it’s because most people have empathy, and even the ones who don’t at the very least still LOOK like us. You don’t realize how much comfort that would bring until you see a scene like the one in this movie.

      @ not necessarily. They're putting tubes and shit in the guy's mouth but what research are they trying to gain? Is it purely curiosity, or is it to take something? Is whatever they learn going to be used for invasion or do they just wanna catalogue their findings the way that researchers will do to animals? Or is it the equivalent of a kid pulling the wings off a butterfly or putting an ant under a magnifying glass? We never find out why they do what they do or what they hoped to gain, so the "procedures" are not indicative of what they want

    best way to look at Fire in the Sky is how animals look at humans, especially vets. Animals have no idea what our intentions are with them, our technology, our equipment's, ourselves, its all alien to them. Just like how the aliens were to that guy in that abduction scene.

    That scene from Nocturnal Animals was hands down the most anxiety inducing scene I've ever watched. Nothing, to the best of my recollection, comes even close to that. Even including that another scene from Zodiac where Jake Gylenhall's character visits someone on a rainy night only to gradually realize that he may be in the presence of Zodiac himself. As brilliant and chilling that scene was, this Nocturnal Animals scene is unadulterated horror. A family man's nightmare, to see your family being devoured gradually in front of your eyes and there's absolutely nothing you can do about it. It's because of this scene that I've refused to watch the movie again. I don't want to relive that experience. Another such movie for me is Graveyard of the Fireflies. It's one of my favourites, but I've watched it only once, and will never watch it again. Ever.

      A gun in his left breast pocket, with jacket on, guy could have shot the leader through the jacket before he could have reacted, and his friends would have realized..."We picked the wrong guy, and we apologize sir, please let us leave and we'll leave." Of course things escalate so slowly we're not even sure what they plan to do before it's too late, but by the time they're grabbing the women, and you grab your gun, you could DEFINITELY turn things around.
      Rioters don't fear cops when they're rioting, same as almost all criminals when they do ratchet shit. They fear you...with a gun. Everytime. 100%. Far less rules when an angry scared man has to protect the life that's his, or the loved ones he holds dear. That's the nightmare fuel for the wicked.

    I decided to watch this video, even though I KNEW it would contain the things that disturb me more than gore. And while the NOPE scene truly was scary, as soon as I saw the title card for 'Fire in the Sky', I turned it off. I have never seen that movie. I remember seeing the trailer and thinking that was the scariest thing I'd ever seen. (And I was VERY grown!) I'm going to continue the video, but I wanted to let you know exactly how effective this all is!! Great content!

    I have one from the movie Looper. There is a scene where a guy from the future gets transported to the present and his actual present version is being killed and they are removing parts of his body so the future self starts losing his nose and his limbs and then gets killed with a shot and we see the present version with breathing support covered in a bloody blanket. We don't see his body, only the shape and it really disturbed me.

    I have a feeling that Nocturnal Animals is a product of its time that can never be made in this day and age, considering that
    The film portrayed Susan’s abortion as a bad thing. If this film was made today, Edward would have been portrayed as a villain for being entitled to his baby and not respecting Susan’s choice.

He was terrified of being caught, that's why his targets were random people, and why his attacks had years between one and the next.
