  • The Delano Las Vegas is an all-suites hotel that is part of the Mandalay Bay complex and everything it has to offer while offering a distinctive and more upscale vibe. In this Delano room tour, Bill shows you what to expect from the Delano King Suite when you check in. The Delano would be a particularly good option for a group looking for a quiet place to gather and watch a football game.

My group usually stays at the Venetian, also all suite hotel. The rooms are a little larger sf according to the web pages, but two different rooms here seems a nice option at the cost of just a few square feet. Also an extra half bath is nice here. May have to consider this on our next trip.

We have a group of guys going Labor Day weekend, and we always gather to watch football on Saturday afternoon. I am super happy for the separate bedroom and half bathroom for that group.

Such a large room for the price you get. On the weekdays if you book last minute you can sometimes snag this room for like 150. Decently luxurious, and more than serviceable. Only bad thing is its location. If you don't want to walk outside in the summer, just take the tram to Excalibur, then walk to NYNY, and make way to Park MGM, then take the Park MGM-Bellagio Ride, and BAM you made it to mid strip. May take like 15 minutes if you hurry the pace up.

That's totally fair, and I very much wouldn't want to walk outside in the Summer. However, you can stay in air conditioning for the Luxor, Mandalay Bay, and Four Seasons. We are going back in a few weeks for a Labor Day trip with a group of guys to watch football, and for that trip this room will work out just about perfectly even if it is really hot.

any tips on getting them to add a mini fridge to the room? I heard you can add one for $25 a day to any room in Vegas (i've never asked) , or if you say you have medication that needs to be kept cold they might add one at no charge. It might be stupid, but having a mini fridge is fairly important to me when staying in Vegas.

@DineDrinkJohn (X Handle) will agree with you on how important that is. I like it myself. All you have to do is let them know at check-in. Alternatively, you can call down to the front desk once you get in your room. If you need one for medical reasons, you might just call the concierge in advance. If you are willing to pay whatever the fee is, then it is super easy. If you want it for free, then calling in advance to explain the medical situation would certainly work better. Safe travels!

Got a pardon the pun, suite deal here so was just checking out the lay of the land while I consider what to book.

It is a nice spot at what is usually a great price.

Thanks for the info here. Wondering how the king suite at the Delano compares to the king suite at the Bellagio (my favorite spot)?

The Bellagio is a much nicer spot with a center strip location. There is also more I enjoy doing on property at the Bellagio. However, Delano almost always costs less. It is also a more relaxed vibe that would work great if, say, a group of guys were watching football.

Is that empty top shelf in the fridge for personal use?

I do not think so, and I wouldn't touch anything in there for fear of getting charged.
