Ta'Darrius Stanley I have a 2012 5.0 and I can confirm... the 3Vs have the best exhaust out of all mustangs, especially when cammed.... love them and honestly thinking about my next car being an 03 cobra or an 04 GT. Absolutely love the rear end and sound

probably a comp thumper cam with long tubes, single chamber exhaust, no cats, tune and intake. by far the best sounding mustang.

This is funny. Idk know why I just now found this, but that yellow one is mine. Check it out on my channel. First off, it was just a bolt on 4.6 3v. UD Pullies, CAI with 101mm maf, Tune, MAC LT, Prochamber, Ford Racing 4:10s. I later had Brenspeed install COMP Thumpers. Not Mother and not Big Mother Thumprs, just regular Thumpers. Reason for doing so was I noticed the regular Thumpers had the slowest lope/sound to them. Didn't like the sound of the other profiles. I also had them install cam phase limiters and Steeda CMDP's, finished with a dyno tune. In the end I think the car was making 331rwhp. Which when compared to today's stangs, isn't that impressive. But it was all about the sound more than anything.
Oh, and I had 9, yes 9 exhaust systems on that car. My channel vids show Flowmaster A/T, MAC, and lastly setup was Pypes Mid Mufflers. What can I say, I was picky..........lol
I love mustangs and always have. There is nothing (sound wise) that compares IMO to a cammed supercharged or turbo stang. As for all the yo mama comments lol , I had that happen to me on here once.....I bet my bottom dollar the dude that did it back then will never do it again...This I swear. I hate to use the "Cliche" but I have a very special set of skills and a quick temper. Remember "name callers" Your Ip is logged therefore you are accessible so please please act like an adult. You think you are hidden behind that keyboard but its not quite that simple I promise

I have a 1997 SVT Cobra with a stage 1comp cam, but I could not get that sound out of it. Im a bit disappointed only about the sound! Any way I could bring that sound up? I got a pair of flow masters with headers. Any suggestions, other than putting a stage 2 comp cam?
Open headers, make sure you have the supporting mods. Should sound a little bit better
what kind of mufflers/pipes on the yellow one. i want that sound
have a catted xpipe and flowmasters catbacks in mine so far. Do cams really make this much difference?And how hard are they to install?
I wouldnt say hard, but expensive... and alot of time... plus a good tune to maximise efficiency and power... stage one cams are roughly 600+ per... just for the shaft... but yes they make a difference... sound obviously, but a good power gain i'd say..
bowlofarthritus depends on the cam. some are good for a wide power band but not much over all power. i have seen cams only add 20hp. i have seen some add 80hp, then you add a good free flowing exhaust and intake and you could hit 100hp, but over all having a tune with cam will get you the most hp.

the procharger for the v6. is over $4000, I went to a scrap yard the other night and pulled a super charger. I have my entire engine forged. I am worried about the block handling the strain from it. :/
i have a mild cam, highflow heads, an exhaust, a cold air intake, bbk headers, 203 amp alt, 8.8 rear end with 3.73 gears now.. i do okay for a v6

What does cammed excatly mean?
Producer Sav It means the car has aftermarket camshafts. They control how long the engines intake & exhaust valves are open/closed. When you have bigger cams you lose the smooth idle of the engine and it gives the car that distinct "thumping" idle that you hear in this video.

what does cammed mean?
It means it has an aftermarket camshaft. It typically means the car has more power but is less drivable. look up cam specs and what they mean on UA-cam and you will find a guy that explains it very well.
It has an aftermarket cam. These cams are bigger than stock which allow more air intake and exhaust from the engine which gives the car that really nasty sound.
I love the sound of mustangs, but i think the cammed corvettes sound better in my opinion, no hate on the mustang tho

I love my mustangs, but the cammer motors only sound good at idle with cams really. Everyone puts offroad pipes on them and it's the worst thing. At least put high flo cats on them, not for emissions, but for good taste. Without cats they sound like some beanerass chevy with small pipes and glasspacks. Pushrod cars sound better without cats, mod motors sound like total ass without them, and I've heard no examples that have changed my mind.

Jeremy Hall I own a 09gt and a 15gt both manual and both have some mods. I don't think they are weak. Bought a 2010 camaro in 2012 w/21k on it at30k bent crank. Luckily coverd by extended warrenty. After it was fixed I traded it off.
