The bulb you got from Karen that is blooming is called Bleeding Heart. I’m in Michigan (USA) and mine is in bloom right now too.
Yes Dicentra - Bleeding Heart ❤️
Agree 100%
Mine are flowering too, I am in upstate New York
Mine too! I have 2, different varieties. Love them. We live about a hour north of Atlanta.🍑😊
Mine too!
Wow the garden is looking so beautiful Catherine, such a calm and happy place .
Thanks Diane xxxx
The problem with the lawnmower could be a spark plug or your fuel filter. Both are easy and inexpensive to replace.
Thank you for taking us along on your walk. The scenery and nature sounds were so soothing and beautiful. Your garden is so beautiful. I'm finally (I hope) done with the cold and snow, so I've spent the past few days in my garden. Pure Heaven. The trees are starting to get their leaves so all this green and flowers blooming are making me a happy person!
Came here about to give the same advice lol!
Might as well change the air filter too… love your channel 🇨🇦
Could have water in the gas
Change your spark plugs.on the mower
Fuel filter could have gunk in it. Easily replaceable. Replace air filter and spark plug. Take your spark plug out and go get a replacement. You have to make sure the gap is set the same. Some plugs gaps are already set, but check with the staff.
Thank you for the walk around the woods. It was beautiful.
So happy you enjoyed it x
Wow...what a beautiful walk...what you photographed...was amazing! Thank you for sharing! Looking forward to seeing your garden grow this summer...see you next week.
So happy to hear that April ♥️thanks for stopping by have a lovely week xx
I still love your brick wall you painted. Everytime I watch your outdoor space I look for the brick wall, such a nice backdrop for anything you plant. I look forward to your videos, thank you for always posting something beautiful.
I was only thinking that I want to do another section of brick wall and continue it down x
Thanks for sharing your garden time and the woodlands... stay safe and well from Memphis Tennessee 😊
For your lawn mower… have you checked the blade to make sure it’s not cracking up with old grass? That was a culprit with mine once. I took the mower and motor apart only to find it was old grass that was hard as a rock 😂
That is actually really really helpful! I’m gonna try that. Maybe some wd40 needed to oil things up ❤️
The wild garlic is gorgeous! You take such wonderful photos! It’s always a joy to look at and I take screen shots to view again later. Your photos are so peaceful. I also love how the garden is looking - beautiful! 💖💖💖🦩
I found out why l had no tulips this year. All the bulbs got eaten over winter 😭🤬
Liked the walk in the woods. Did you get a hair cut? Looks different. 😊
Hey there, try replacing the spark plug on the mower,, might help 🤞
Your gardens are lovely! I miss you saying, " give me a cheeky thumbs up". Lol Have a great week. 🙏🌼🌹🌿🌷🙏 HUGS
Hi my love. Your garden is amazing. Love the sound of the birds. I miss the birds as we had bird flu over here and it is very quiet and I miss not waking to the birds 😪 catch you next time
Thanks for the walk in the wood! I spent a lot of time in the woods where I grew up in Pennsylvania. 😊😊 I love being in your garden, it's so nice with all your little sections.❤❤
The view into your back garden from the gate is lovely.🌸🌼🌺🌷🌹🌾🪻
Wow! Your potato plant growth is incredible!
I hope you try an allotment garden out front, or at least, the apple trees you mentioned.🍏🍎.
Have a great week!
We’ll be planting our potatoes very soon!! Loved the walk through the forest!!
Exciting 😍😍
OFF WITH THERE HEADS!! Garden looks so pretty. I so loved the walk in the woods. Take care.
Great video girl you have a green thumb I can't grow anything not even house plants but love watching your videos
Started tomatoes, chillies, zinnia, cosmos, allysum, german chamomile going on 2 weeks. It's been unusually cool and rainy in California. Trying to be patient before planting them out. Have you heard of Eastern Redbud trees. Beautiful flower show, heart shape leaves and fall color. Maybe for front yard? Walking tour was so pretty. No one does it better than Mother Nature 🌱
Sunflower can make nyc gifts 🎁
Amazing photography, as always. Your garden is an absolute delight.
Bleeding Heart, the little pink flowers 👍🏼
Ahhhh, the Emerald Isle! All that lush green is heaven sent and a blessing! Here in South Africa we're going into El Niño, which means a couple of years of little rain to severe drought. Or is that La Nina? Anyhow, you guys who get plenty of rain are truly privileged! Much love from the southern hemisphere!
Oh wow, I heard of that but I never knew what it actually was. 🙏🏼 I hope it’s not as bad as expected for you guys x
We are heading into El Niño in Australia too. Dry dry dry. It’s either floods with La Niña or drought with El Niño. Just nice is not so often. Good luck. Best wishes from Australia 🇦🇺
I live in a city in Los Angeles and L.A.
Is big. So seeing this is beautiful, so
serene and so many beautiful flowers in you country I had not seen.Thank you, cannot wait for your next episode.…M♥️M of 5
The garden is thriving!!! Love it.
I love the garden 😃 From Robin from BE😀
Your garden is so sweet. I, too, have a city garden with raised beds. I love watching your videos. I live in Denver, Colorado, USA. So the weather and growing zone is different, but I still love catching up with your garden every week. I have been watching you for the last 3 years and this is my first comment
Awwww thank you for commenting and supporting, love the sound of your city garden! X
I direct sowed borage 5 years ago and have never had to plant it again! It self seeds everywhere and I love it. It's always alive with bees and my 3 year old son loves to eat the flowers 😊
Thank you for sharing 😊 your garden ❤ havea greet week
I have never seen so much wild garlic, what a beautiful place in the woods where you were walking ! 🥰
My potatoes are almost ready! They’ve flopped over and the leaves are turning yellow. 🥳 Your tulips and bulbs are GORGEOUS! I wish I could grow tulips here in South Carolina. Maybe I can try other bulbs.
I'm in SC, too! And would love to have some tulips but alas, 'tis a no go here.🌴
Great video. The walk in the woods was lovely. Just a comment on your tulips: Dead head the whole stem of the flower to the ground you took the head off. Then only the leaves soak up the sun’s energy for the bulbs. When the leaves die back you can cut them off.
Loved your walk in the woods! We're starting to green up here in the Rockies but not as green as Ireland! Thank you so much for taking us along! 🌻
U need to plant the sun flowers deeper into the pots. Just leave the leaves above the compost. Its a bleading heart the plant in the front u got as a bulb the pink and white flower
Garden is looking lush. the sound of rain and bird song was so lovely
So calming isn’t it ♥️
Oh, you have early summer, where we live we have still snow...Beautiful garden!
Your garden looks beautiful. I've planted my tomatoes, and bell peppers. My grandson planted radishes and carrots from seed. He's watering them every day and I'm praying they will grow for him. We got our blackberrys tied up and put tensile on them(keep the birds away). We were able to get them down early this year. My apricot tree has fruit on it this year. My grandbabies are checking it every day. Tomorrow we're planting onions and some herbs from seed.
Wow Jannette your garden sounds so bountiful 😍😍😍 well done!! It sounds beautiful 😍
@@DaintyDiaries Thank you
Your gardens are growing so beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The woods were gorgeous.....
So happy you liked the woods x
@@DaintyDiaries 🥰
Hiya 🌞, l planted some chitted potatoes with miss 4.5 and theyve come up really well in their pots, so she's visiting again this weekend for "all Mummies Day" so we may check out one of them!( She's famous for pulling up carrots etc and telling them to " grow harder" if not happy with their size!! Lol! )Keep safe and well and content XOXO J.I.M.K Mrs. Brisbane, Australia 🇦🇺 😀 ❤
Hello Catherine love the walk in the woodlands. Such beautiful scenery. Thank you 👍👍❤
So lovely, Thankyou! Your garden is simply beautiful with all those bulbs. Keep ‘Em coming!
Your garden is looking lovely! Wow, so much wild garlic. Are you going to make pesto? Didn't manage to try potato growing this year but have the bags for next year;) Sown the sweet peas direct outside and already have some wee shoots. Very excited. Going with no mow may, it's also been quite wet anyways. Wondering when the rabbits are going to appear. They are so cute but eat everything! Looking forward to Thursday's video:)
Oh Catherine hope your lawn mower engine hasn't burned up from lack of oil. Every time before starting your mower need to check the oil. Garden is beautiful. Thanks for the woodland walk. Very pretty. Potatoes plants look bigger to me. Yummy See you soon.
Consider changing the spark plug, air filter, and oil every spring. Very easy and makes the mower safe and more efficient! And, you bet much more out of you mower!
I put out my potato seedlings in pots yesterday (13th May). The weather here 🇨🇦 can be quite fickle but temperatures of 20C and up are predicted so my tomatoes and cantaloupe seedlings will go in the garden on Monday. I planted corn, beans, peas, lettuce, onions and flower seed mix yesterday. 🥵
Cathrine, the plant you couldn't remember the name - Bleeding Heart. I have one and I never get many blooms on them, but TONS of foliage. Question: when you hang mirrors in your garden, do you have birds flying into them? I've wanted to put mirrors up but was afraid of that happening.
Hey, no not the mirrors, but I have had one or two fly into the greenhouse glass, at least with the mirrors they see their reflection better x
I adore You sweet Garden and loved the walk in the woods ... happy gardening from New Zealand (as the Thunder storm comes in ) I have a lot of self seeded Aqualigias aka Granny's Bonnets going off at the moment with lots of lovely leaves ..no sign of flowers yet but we are in Autumn ...I was given some seeds off the Purple ones from my neighbours and they are slowly changing colours which is fun to see!
Garden looking lovely!
What is your feeling on a Loropetalum for your front garden? Would it thrive in your zone?
Last year you had grow bags for your potatoes. Are they just a one use item?
I got into some poison ivy whilst pruning some azaleas so my gardening is slow going (horribly allergic) but I am keeping the coleus and cosmos seedlings alive. Hopefully they will go into the ground soon.
Have fun and thanks for another great video.
I enjoyed it very much! Thank you so much! Hugs from Germany 💛🐝💛
Oh yes wild garlic ..... every little bit of it delicious (but incredibly invasive)! It’s a sign of ancient woodland. I have LOADS in my garden (the estate my house is on is built on what was ancient woodland before people got properly twitchy about tearing out that sort of nature and building on it)
Sunflowers take a while to recover from being pulled up. Baby them with patience.
Where I live there is a whole mass of wild garlic right outside my door. The smell is amazing. I’m not a lover of garlic however. Love your videos sweet lady. Sending you lots of love and prayers.x
Flower emergency! Lol. We just had a storm come through and it snapped my newly planted peony plant's stem with leaves off. Now just the tip of the stem is sticking out of the soil. It was a quart size plant so it's not mature. Do any of my fellow gardeners out there know if the plant will recover?
Hi Catherine, I have to do a catchup on your videos I'm way behind, I enjoyed this one and was delighted you showed your potatoes and they're doing well. I planted two potatoes that were a bit past it to eat so I removed the growing bits of them except from the top (they looked like Karen's when they had "chitted") Well they've grown 🤗 and I'm excited to see them get bigger. I'll be keeping a watch on yourself and Karen to know when they're ready to eat 😋
I am just starting my potatoes, planting seed for Bush green beans, Swiss chard got a bag of garlic and two rhubarb plants. Temps at night are staying around 40.
Your garden is looking lush. Did the wild garlic smell..?
Yes, you can smell if when its a warm windy day x
Squirrels dug up my bulbs I planted 2 weeks ago. I have some yarrow I'll plant in the pots now.
Hi Catherine. Probably a good idea to get your mower serviced and the blades sharpened. Especially if it's never been done. Will extend the life of your mower. We did that on a regular basis every year.
Dainty u are the woman who inspired me to garden ❤ I watched a volcano disaster program recently and they found that volcanic ash makes an amazing fertiliser. 😲 you can actually buy it. There is caution on using it in veggies though due to heavy metals. But it will make flowers etc grow to their best abilities and fast!!
Maybe put a new air filter on it, clean your spark plug maybe replace it, and run some carburetor cleaning additive in your fuel. It's easy and I know you can do it. It'll be grand!
Squirrels dug up my bulbs 😢I've got yarrow I can plant into the pots though lol
I'd take the mower in for a service , they will change ur blades , oil , filter and make sure it's all tickity boo. Ask them to show you how to maintain it and how often to change oil and spark plugs ect. I did this and have done it myself ever since and my lawns lookd better for it.
Now I have an electric one😎 I love it
Your garden is really looking beautiful.
I hope you get your lawn mower running smoothly.
Your mower may need a tune up, also if any dirt got in the gas it could be the problem ( my son used to mow for me years and years ago and would lay the gas cap on the ground therefore dirt would get in the tank )
Your garden looks so lush and the woodland tour was very peaceful. The wild garlic field was stunning , thanks for sharing. Happy Gardening 👩🌾
We have a Ryobi battery lawnmower. You can recharge the battery. It is quiet.
I loved this film. It's so uplifting and wholesome! My 'Blue Annelise' potatoes are only half the size of yours [here in Herefordshire, UK]. A little trick I do, is to turn the compost bag inside out, as I prefer the plain black as it is less obtrusive. Thank you so much!
So pretty,, I can smell the roses 🎉 from my home 😂 have a wonderful and I'll see you Thursday❤
Lovely video Catherine. You have some beautiful flowers and plants. Well, I finally managed to get my grass cut. Had to strim first to take the height down. It was really too wet, but we had a warm day and my neighbour had said it was going to rain all week. So I cracked on and got it done. Looks so much better. ❤
Glad you got it done Janine♥️ nothing better!!
I’m sorry, what is the name of the pink bush in front?
It’s looking so beautiful ❤
Your lawnmower probably needs a tune up. Clean air filter & good gone over. It wi
L probably be good ad new. Lorraine
At 13.37 it called a bleeding heart my favourite plant
Everything is so beautiful
Ugh the color pallet is “right up my alley” 💕💕💕 I’m Love 💗
Just love the views of nature, you are so blessed to live in such a beautiful country! Love your content ❤
Your garden is so pretty! Keep.up the amazing work!
The litle pink flower you bought in March are called "Bleeding Hearts" they are my mothers favorite
I planted only a couple of potatoes in my garden on Good Friday. They are about 4 inches tall.
You inspired me to attempt a cottage garden style border, so yesterday Mick planted over 50 new plants, foxgloves, lupins, delphiniums etc as well as digging in a good amount of well rotted horse muck. If the border turns out half as pretty as yours I will be one happy lady, we just need to keep our Labrador and Newfoundland off to give it a good chance!
So loved the woodland walk. Faeries live there 🐞🐝🐌🌸🍀🌺
Magical woodland ♥️♥️
A meadow in the front would be very cute and good idea with all the flowers absolutely beautiful
Bleeding heart. In Wisconsin, we have red, pink, and white.
Thank you for sharing your walk in the woods, it is so beautiful! ❤Ana
Gardens looking so good, it's been warm here bur loads of rain.
Good for the grass 😊
Brilliant Catherine!💕💕💕I just ordered your book, yay! Have a blessed day!
Water it and set it aside and watch it because if the stems are still plump there is a good chance it will spout back out hun.
Check the spark plug. Or get it serviced, then it will be right as rain again.
Probably needs a new spark plug and the air filter washed out. Kinda the yearly maintenance on a mower.
So happy for these videos. What beautiful footage of the woods!!
Aw so happy you liked it, love how all of a sudden things start to come alive 🌱
Your mower probably needs a new spark plug and air filter.
I want to have a meadow but we are in a drought, we haven’t got any rain this year. My grass is already dead 😮
What do you do with all your tulips in your garden beds when the summer comes and you put veggies in?
Put the sunflowers in a shady spot. They will recover from the transplant shock. Garden looking good and I love your woods!
I just copped some had recovered over night, so fingers crossed x
Another great video Catherine, loved the walk in the woods. As for the lawnmower, try checking the spark plug. Cheers from across the pond again.
I've got borage but it's awfully invasive .
O my I forgot to let you know the walk in the woods was so beautiful I love to do that myself
Your garden is beautiful.
The flower you grew from a bulb is a bleeding heart. Have you seen any sign of the hedgehog lately?
