  • Join me in this week's cottage garden vlog, as I take you on a tour of my garden borders and the nearby woods, showcasing the early summer plants that are growing. Watch as I tidy up the grass and transplant sunflower seedlings, followed by sowing borage. We'll explore the flourishing woodland plants that have emerged since my last visit. I hope you are all having fun in the garden, and please share any of your garden wins in the comment section.

The problem with the lawnmower could be a spark plug or your fuel filter. Both are easy and inexpensive to replace.
Thank you for taking us along on your walk. The scenery and nature sounds were so soothing and beautiful. Your garden is so beautiful. I'm finally (I hope) done with the cold and snow, so I've spent the past few days in my garden. Pure Heaven. The trees are starting to get their leaves so all this green and flowers blooming are making me a happy person!

Fuel filter could have gunk in it. Easily replaceable. Replace air filter and spark plug. Take your spark plug out and go get a replacement. You have to make sure the gap is set the same. Some plugs gaps are already set, but check with the staff.

For your lawn mower… have you checked the blade to make sure it’s not cracking up with old grass? That was a culprit with mine once. I took the mower and motor apart only to find it was old grass that was hard as a rock 😂

Your garden looks beautiful. I've planted my tomatoes, and bell peppers. My grandson planted radishes and carrots from seed. He's watering them every day and I'm praying they will grow for him. We got our blackberrys tied up and put tensile on them(keep the birds away). We were able to get them down early this year. My apricot tree has fruit on it this year. My grandbabies are checking it every day. Tomorrow we're planting onions and some herbs from seed.

What is your feeling on a Loropetalum for your front garden? Would it thrive in your zone?
Last year you had grow bags for your potatoes. Are they just a one use item?
I got into some poison ivy whilst pruning some azaleas so my gardening is slow going (horribly allergic) but I am keeping the coleus and cosmos seedlings alive. Hopefully they will go into the ground soon.

Water it and set it aside and watch it because if the stems are still plump there is a good chance it will spout back out hun.

Check the spark plug. Or get it serviced, then it will be right as rain again.

Probably needs a new spark plug and the air filter washed out. Kinda the yearly maintenance on a mower.

I want to have a meadow but we are in a drought, we haven’t got any rain this year. My grass is already dead 😮

Put the sunflowers in a shady spot. They will recover from the transplant shock. Garden looking good and I love your woods!

Another great video Catherine, loved the walk in the woods. As for the lawnmower, try checking the spark plug. Cheers from across the pond again.

The flower you grew from a bulb is a bleeding heart. Have you seen any sign of the hedgehog lately?
