Please send rain our way, we’ve had very hot temperatures and very dry summer. Your garden always lovely full of flowers. Sorry about your flight ordeal. 📘📖
You're always working on things around your home❤ I wish I could be half as productive as you! Thanks for sharing your world with us. Makes me happy !!
I agree. This is absolutely perfect. I never miss watching this channel. Always something different. And we can see how this garden has grown and developed thru the years. I remember how exciting it was when the greenhouse went up☺️…and putting in the boxes. Every corner of this garden has been “beautified” with the DaintyDiaries touch🥰
Your garden minded you while you were away. Everything is beautiful. It is always a good day when the green house windows are sparkling clean. Just a little mow around your nature garden. I have some of those water spikes same results. I added a thin film of plastic wrap and just punched 1 or 2 small holes then screwed the top on. Only lets out a small amount now.
I weed everytime it rains it's so much easier to get weeds out. I also deadhead plants every morning and cut back any plants that need it. I luv gardening . It is so relaxing and rewarding.Luv your flower beds and your videos.❤❤ Have a wonderful week.❤
Newborn size disposable diapers in the bottom of plant pots before adding soil and plants....they have moisture absorbent beads that hold moisture for the roots. Works great.
Bees LOVE clover in your wild lawn patch. I do the same in my garden.. Lovely volg😊. Ps. When you go near a bee hive🐝, the bees will not sting if you get close, as long as you do not stand in front of/block their flight path in and out of the hive entrance/exit.
The purple stuff in your front Wild Patch, we used to call (as kids) " Honeysuckle " and we used to pull out the little purple petals and there would be a drip of Honey on the end that we would eat. and that's what we did!... memories 🎶
Oh my what a difference from last year, your plants have grown so much. Beautiful variety of plants, I also love the looks of the over flowing plants from the pond. You definitely have a green thumb Catherine, those dungarees are lovely on you good choice.
I recognised the new overalls straight way - they look great! You are certainly a very self disciplined person Catherine and get all these unpleasant jobs done when needed. You keep everything up to a high standard and your home reflects that both inside and out. I love your cottage style and how light and bright it all is but at the same time a feeling of cosiness and warmth. 💐❤️
Thanks for this video. We had bad storms Friday where I live...and today I had to say goodbye to my parent's dog (family dog) so just not feeling very nice. This video was just whatt I needed. Still sad, but feeling a little better.
The aquilegia plants do tend to get mildewy anyway. I always cut them low to the ground when they've finished flowering and they just pop back up with new foliage that keep the clump looking much tidier. I also chop back the fennel.
Your garden is dreamy! I live in Athens and i have a balcony so all my plants are in pots. Before i had a watering system installed i used to keep the bottles of water or anything with a lid (like the milk bottle you had on the video) and i used to water all my plants very well and then i pinned the lids with sewing needle in 2 or 3 spots to make very small holes and i placed the bottle near the roots. When i came back everything needed watering but no plant ever dyed in the hot Greek summer!🥰(i have plants like hydrangeas, roses that need a lot of water)
I love hanging baskets and window boxes but I also forget to water them. Fixed this with automated irrigation system. Tiny black pipe which can be tactfully hidden from view and didn’t cost much by avoiding the bigger named brands. Really works well. 😊
You’re right about allowing ventilation in the garden plantings…it’s also good to thin out within trees and bushes to allow sun and air flow to get in nicely.
You're so lucky with all the rain 😉 Here it's so dry. When it's raining all the time one might get nerved but when it's not raining at all then one is always watching the weather report hoping for rain. Rainwater is so much better for the plants than tap water 🚰💦 Thank you very much for sharing this video. Have a wonderful week.
We live in northern California and are having a heat wave. It is always hot here in the summer, but it's hotter than usual. It was 112 yesterday and today. We never get any rain here in the summer. Gardening is a real challenge here.
Wonder if a small sponge lodged in the opening of the bottle after you fill it with water before you attach it to the cone, would slow down the water flow into the soil. Just a thought. Meanwhile, your garden looks like it is thriving. Love the natural space in the front lawn.❤️
I do realise the transformation into a real cottage garden, Catherine ,compared to last years. It flourishes much more, I especially like the delicate flowers. You are making progress, indeed.🌱🙋♀️
so many lovely flowers! the new dungarees are excellent♡ i love red clover! the dried tops make such a good tea for overall wellness. i forgot to do the giveaway, dang it! 😵
Your beautiful soothing garden helped me as I woke today w the mos massive migraine I’ve ever had. My brain thanks you. So glad the garden held up so well💗💗💗💗
Yay!! Garden time....love all the pop of color, such beautiful blossoms...some of my plants didn't flower much with this heat, we're on 105°F today and I did water them early in the morning just to keep them going🫠🔥
Everything is really growing great! I'm really interested in the Allium. Am doing lots and lots of watering here in San Diego. Not too hot yet, but fires & heat are really beginning to happen north of us...Scary time of the year. Next month, Sept & Oct are our hottest, driest months..I never look forward to then..
Hi! I feel the same about those bottle drip toppers! They drains the water way too fast! I was quite disappointed after buying them. Used them only one time. Love you're channel by the way! Some lovely stuff!
I understand completely about catching up in the garden. I'm just getting over covid and I've been neglecting my garden since the first of July. I pulled a few weeds and dead headed but it's only the tip of the iceberg 😅. I have to rest now so I can get back at her tomorrow . Your garden is looking absolutely lovely. Thanks for the zinnia tips..its my first year growing them from seed and they're just starting to bloom.
Here in South Texas, the problem is watering the garden and potted plants in my absence. They can't go a single day without watering. I can almost guarantee there will be no rain.

I’m so so sorry for your loss and I’m thinking of you ❤️
The aquilegia plants do tend to get mildewy anyway. I always cut them low to the ground when they've finished flowering and they just pop back up with new foliage that keep the clump looking much tidier. I also chop back the fennel.

Very very clever 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
what irrigation system did you buy?
Cozy, beautiful, cute! 👏👏👏Super! 😍
Everything is looking good for midsummer. It’s horribly hot here. It takes my breath away when I step out. Your apples 🍏 🍎 look beautiful.
You’re right about allowing ventilation in the garden plantings…it’s also good to thin out within trees and bushes to allow sun and air flow to get in nicely.
Yea, think my mission will be to thin out that corner x
I love how full it is but it’s crying for attention x
Have a nice week away. Garden is tidy. I’ve been doing my garden today still looks pretty. Have a lovely time Kerry see you soon bye❤

Great idea!
That is a great idea with the sponge, I’m gonna try it.
I will be away from my garden for almost 3 weeks. I will look up some ways to self water. Thanks for the inspiration. Laurie
Enjoy your time away ☺️ Mother Nature will help you I am sure ❤️
Thank you my dear
Welcome 😊
You are a joy to watch, love your Dublin humour, that's coming from a Culshie in Wexford. Lol.

Aww I’m so glad to hear that ♥️ means a lot to me! Hope you feel better soon and thanks for watching xx
I had the same experience with the cone watering system.
Read about wicking water to your plants while you are away. It's so easy, little cost, and plant saver...of course good for house plants too.
Great tip 👏🏻 thanks for sharing
❤ always enjoy watching all your videos, makes my day/week, beautiful garden well done sweet x 😊

Wondering where you got your greenhouse or did you design and make it? ❤❤❤
Hey, I bought it from outdoorliving.ie x
Your garden looks lovely! ❤
Here in South Texas, the problem is watering the garden and potted plants in my absence. They can't go a single day without watering. I can almost guarantee there will be no rain.
I had the cones
I threw them away
I couldn’t understand how to use them 😮
I want to know here your favorite spot in you garden is? I love your woodland area!!
