I’m so excited to take you on a spring garden tour in my enchanting English cutting garden! It’s my favorite place to connect with nature and celebrate the beauty of the spring and summer seasons. I’m sharing my favorite plants for a cut-flower garden as well as showing you how we designed and created the space. Let me know if you have any garden questions or if you have a specific part of the garden that’s your favorite! 🌸🌿💐
Wow! All of your work with the design of your construction is superb. Thank you for sharing. This is one of my favorite outdoor builds I have ever seen! So much to be inspired by. BTW, here in Georgia (zone 8a) I do not pull my dahlias each year because we don't get cold enough to damage them with freezes.
Hi Ashley. I would like to recommend a plant for your garden, the Viburnum plicatum. I have two plants in my garden and I plan to add a few more. I love that it blooms before all other white blooming plants and it is such a joyful bush to have. Please reaserch the Viburnum plicatum. You will for sure enjoy it in your garden.
In the south, we do not need to pull out our dahlias. I am in Durham, NC, and I have never lost a Dahlia leaving them in the ground through the winter.
Gosh, I’d sure love to keep them in the ground! I’m terrified I’d loose them, all of ours are in raised beds, but I’ll try keeping some tubers in the ground this year and see what happens! 🥰🙏🌸 do you ever pull them out to divide them?
Thank you for explaining your methods of gardening techniques. I live in the northeast and having difficulty growing my David Austin 🌹 roses, quite possibly because my gardener put black mulch into my flower beds.
stunning, I live in an apartment, but I am fortunate to have a courtyard, so I live vicariously through your channel, you have stunning taste, I have brush tail possums who love my pot plants 😂 they too have to eat, I guess.. much love from Victoria, Australia 🐨🦘
Why not put in inexpensive & unobtrusive simple 8' deer fencing on green metal posts for wider perimeter deer protection? Its easy & fast to install by simply driving the posts into the ground-:) We did just that on our acreage & put in a tall driveway gate which totally protects the entire property-:))
I'm new to your channel and your beautiful garden! I have lots of deer friends as well and am grateful for the cosmos and russian sage which they don't eat.
Beautiful yard. I am from Arkansas too. We now live in Houston. We see ferns at the edge of wooded area, so the deer haven’t eaten them. What type fern are they? Thanks for your beautiful ideas and home tours. God bless. Thanks
I love how relaxed you are taking about your garden. I’m from Oklahoma but now living in Utah and watching and listening to you makes me feel at home. Thank you ❤
Hi Ashley - beautiful gardens! Dahlias from seeds - wow! I never thought about trying that. I have a quick question. I looked on tge transcript but couldn’t find the name - what is the name of the delicate flowers you have in front of the David Austin roses? Thanks!

Yes, in the spring, when you can see the eyes to make sure when you divide them that you will get that eye when you divide.
Oh so smart!!! I’m trying it this year! Thanks for the advice ❤️❤️❤️

Because it's not as petty lol.. she has a gorgeous garden!
I was thinking the same thing… she’s not going to do that because it defeats the whole purpose of it looking beautiful. Deer are my nemesis.

Stunning ❤❤❤
I think you have found your true " niche " your garden is absolutely stunning. Period.
Thank you so much!!! I love sharing it! I can’t wait for all the flowers to be in bloom later this summer, it’s such a joyful time! 🌸

Where are you? What is your growing zone? Beautiful garden 🪴
We’re on the line of 7b/8a, but I always go with 7 🌿 thank you!! ❤️
Please show us this garden when things are in bloom.
Just subscribed as well!
Deer have found my roses behind our fence😢
That gate is way too short to keep the deer out. You need something closer to eight feet 😮💨
Why haven’t you installed fences all around your 5 acre property to extend your beautiful garden?
We can’t in our neighborhood! And I think that if we tried to fence off the creek area they’d probably jump the fence 🤣 they are ambitious!
Your peonys should be fine outside the fence, deer dont touch them. They might taste a leave once, but they should not eat them to the ground
I love how relaxed you are taking about your garden. I’m from Oklahoma but now living in Utah and watching and listening to you makes me feel at home. Thank you ❤
Your garden is one of the nicest I’ve seen in a while!

Thank you! ❤️ They are “Whirling Butterflies” White Gaura. They’re a perennial for us and I love them!
@@ashleychilders thanks! I’ll have to check if they will be OK for my zone (7). Might be an annual for me.
How high are your fences,we have lots of deer here 8n Nova Scotia Canada they eat everything
Thanks so much for the garden tour!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌿🌳💚
❤
Your garden is beautiful, but I am sure that it is even more amazing in person 🤩
Absolutely Beautiful ❤
