A place like this is real heaven but in reality it's too difficult to live among the same 50 faces for the rest of your life with no access to any other nearby piece of land to go and say "dude, I've been here too"
Place is a pedophiles haven. In 2004 half the island's adult males were arrested for raping underage girls. And to prove how messed up that place is. Underage means under 12 there, and breaking that has a sentence of 100 days in the chalet they built for a prison. 31 woman testified. Even the mayor was involved. www.google.com/amp/s/www.independent.co.uk/news/world/australasia/pitcairn-the-island-of-fear-424862.html%3famp

Also, the background music is soothing and perfectly fits this video. One of the most beautiful places on earth I've ever seen. Love from Belgium 🇧🇪🇧🇪
~Warning, I use Sarcasm here~ hasse Siemonsdochter You realize that was like..13 years ago? Dang, guess the saying people deserve a second chance isn't true, huh? Especially since it wasn't the whole community, let's just blame them all for fun. Hell, Nadine Christian has 5 kids, (pretty sure she's the Mayor's wife if I'm correct but she's a citizen) and i definitely think she would rather keep her children safe. Oh wait no, because nobody there cares about kids huh?
There are like 47 people on that Island I doubt most if not all people knew about it. Second chances mean nothing you cannot stop being a paedophile its their nature. The British government should just take the children and through the adults into the sea.
To a landlubber like me who is used to living in the Nevada desert this place looks so beautiful, lush and frankly scary. Being all alone and surrounded by water with no lifeline if you are severely injured or very ill are things that i could not get used to. If you are born and raised on this island or other secluded islands, you have gotten used to these conditions and would probably hate living where most of us live. I am a person who loves to get away from crowds, but this is too much for me. Beautiful, but forbidding.
@Cold German Beer -- Since when does not caring about something mean that I support it? I don't care that blacks are killing blacks in Detroit. I just don't give a damn what's going on in those ghettos. Doesn't mean I support what's going on there.

@UnderSun If it's not hypocritical, which I'm not sure it is or isn't, it's at least ironic. May or may not be helpful to point out. I think it's helpful to point out because I tend to err on the side of everyone sucks, reality is cruel, and I should murder everyone and commit suicide, and then I think, why not use these enormous powers of reasoning for good? Why not?
Dark troubled history and uncertain future aside, this is a beautiful collection of footage. Not a person in sight, just island flora and roads and remnants from the Bounty. Filmed from different heights around the island, they offer many different views of homes and the sea. Pitcairn's dwindling work force (and no future births) may compel the remaining islanders to relocate to New Zealand, so pictures and filming might as well continue while there is still opportunity.
I read that the nearest Hospital is thousands of miles away. WHAT happens if you get sick....need an operation....need a tooth pulled? How about prenatal care? Anti-biotics? Simple medicine like aspirin or Tylenol? Does not seem like an island paradise to me but a death trap

I was randomly searching on Google Earth and found that lonely island I was thinking that how peoples will live here now I found this video it is nice place but at the same time it is scary because of fewer people
I would like to know how life is sustained there. Such as drinking water, electricity, trash removal, sewage. What happens if residents are sick? Is there medical care, a doctor? What country are residents a citizen of?
They're british citizens, english is the official language. It's a british oversees territory. Since there is a lot of raining, they catch it to be used. They get supplied from NZ a few times a year. Electricity they generate with generators in town. There's also a Web connection, be it a bit slow. And a NZ doctor who stays in shifts for a few months.
I came across this country while browsing cia website for countries population. I'd love to visit this place one day. Thanks for the video btw I wish it went further into the forest and provided a a view from high ground.
I would not call it lonely, rather it's what you call peace. Away from noise and pollution, indeed it's beautiful but not lonely, I definitely can live in that Island.
Who is moving to Eden with me? Let's hear from you! I'm researching my home, trying to find the perfect place my family will live forever 😀...anyone else doing something similar? WB
You don't wanna raise a family here. Look up the 2004 trials. And then consider Jamestown St. Helena, or Tristan Da Cunha, or the Azores, Cabo Verde, take your pick. Any of them will be better Pitcairn.
The Internet speed is 5mbps, shared among all residents (approximately 50 people) Compared to 300mbps, shared by number of people in your flat, normally people get in cities.
sir, can i use your video to my channel to inform people in my language about this beautiful island ? if you allow me then i will give you attribution in my video description, waiting for your reply ! thanks alot
