The outer slide only. I personally don't, since the slide doesn't matter as much looks wise

Yup, ideally you let it sit for a good long time, couple hours or longer. Not always an option though
Don't do this in a small, unventilated bathroom with no PPE! As someone who has done exactly that thing. Don't. Bad plan.
