"The Horus Heresy and it's aftermath has had devastating consequences on the human race..." Opening of the manifesto: "The Era Indomitus and it's consequences" of Magos Biologist Theodore Kaczynski - Year: 197 M42
I love your opening. That's the truth, not "War never changes." War *always* changes, but for a question-and-answer used in US Army bayonet drill: "What makes the grass grow? Blood, blood, blood makes the grass grow."
The aftermath should have been only a few hundred space marine survived on both sides. The "Siege of Terra" novels made it like hundreds of thousands of space marines died. Also, subtract all the losses from the Isstvan V massacre and everything leading up to the Siege of Terra. At that point, Ultramarines were the only legion left with large numbers.
Well DAs still had 85-90% if you include the fallen. Along with UMs they could have fucked what was left of the traitors. How the DAs didn't run into them. Is beyond me. Caliban was near Cadia/eye of terror. They would have seen the mass traffic coming towards the eye
Salamanders had under 600 marines after the scourging. The Raven Guard had under a 1000 after the "never more" . SW had less then 2000. The Iron Hands had 3000 , BA had 3000, but the terran contingent was almost wiped out. Etc
Don’t think about the numbers too much. Imperium a million worlds? There are trillions in the galaxy. Billions died during the heresy? That’s just the population of one world. Great crusade 100 years? It would take a million years to conquer a galaxy. Primarchs unifying planet? How small are these plants? Typhon being an adolescent before Mortarion started unifying his plant but still young enough to survive ascension? It world take a thousand years for one guy to walk up every mountain and unify a planet…
Did you reverse the direction the Space Marine was facing in the thumbnail? I swear he was facing the other way. Great video otherwise, I love your content.
Honestly it would be a very interesting if the imperium collapses ( Honestly, it would be a very good and interesting What if series That games workshop could work on Without messing with their timeline for the main series) pancreas no work Did A video on what if the Imperium collapsed
The thunder warriors did die in battle against the space marines in their first deployment. Read Valdor birth of the Imperium sheds light on their end.
I thought so, as well. Man just yesterday I was listening to a 40k story on yt, where 2 dudes were just randomly a gay married couple on an industrial world. The corruption is spreading.
@nathanworthington4451 Yes it must be, especially since half the imperial army switched to the side of chaos. The same imperial army that has female troops. You genius.
Impact: bad.
Prognosis : bleak
Situation: Chaotic
Assessment: Not *ABSOLUTE*
Results: We fucked.
Love the thumbnail reminds me of old 40k art

Another great upload. 👏🏼
Some ideas on some uploads idk if it’s possible but I’d be interested to hear or learn about the Minotaurs chapter
Result Lorgar and Erebus win that’s literally the only winners outside the Tyrannids.
Did that Space Marine have a Bandai logo on his shoulder plate?

Love the video, though the Thunder Warriors were executed. They did not "die in battle". The Emperor ordered their execution.
This person right here, Inquisitor.
Could be an intentional misdirection

@@xSpEcTerrrI actually wish it was Jimmy Space (Big E) who killed all the remaining Thunder Warriors personally but it was a great book regardless.
