For the 10th episode they will play a highly advanced video game from 1980 with discs and funnels and a pen flashlight in the eyes.
Each right answer results in another heroin shot.
Jay is the shortest, youngest and coolest w his long hair and beardy face = Richard Hammond
Mike is always shaved, tallest, gets bleeped the most and is the most controversial = Jeremy Clarkson
Rich is in between in terms of height, the handy one who builds things PROPERLY, the one with the facts = James May
It's nice that the Hospice let's them play these games together. Keeps their minds sharp!
I love how ridiculously competitive Mike is.
It raises the stakes.
The Troi nitpicks were old Plinkett trying to claw his way out.
So by Plinkett, you mean all of us. That tracks beautifully, actually
You know Mike binged the whole series after Part 1.
100% 😂
Am I alone in thinking that ever since he lost round one Mike did a Rocky-like training session to reclaim his honor? In my mind's eye I can see a training montage of Mike in a gray training suit watching episode after episode of TNG while downing energy drinks set to the Rocky theme. I doubt he did any running, but I could see him hit a punching bag with a photo of Jay and Rich on it.
Or he read the questions when no one was around ? You go ahead guys, I'm just going to lock up...now where is that game !
im picturing an anbo-jyutsu outfit instead
Carl Weathers died while training him.
35:20 Rich smiling as Mike is deep in describing the random episode is an oddly heartwarming
Everytime they cut to Rich, that warm "oh look, he's getting there all by himself" expression is just so damn uplifting. It exudes succor and unyielding, undeniable love.
Hat off to Sir Richard Evans for continuously supporting his depressed, alcoholic friend when no one else will.
It's like when you have a loved one deep in the throes of Alzheimer's or dementia, and you see their real self come out when they're listening to a musical piece that they loved, or getting back into an old hobby... That's the look in Rich's eyes.
It's so wholesome to see the guys be friends. I immediately unsubbed.
I've never seen a single episode of Star Trek, and yet I will happily watch this series of trivia off's till the end of time.
The funny part is that it doesn't matter. This is super obscure BS. I've seen every episode and would have gotten like 1 question right.
Go watch it, you hack.
I've watched them over and over, and I have no idea what they're talking about with these questions.
Genuinely these dumb trivia showdowns are some of my favorite things
I'm still impatiently waiting for Part 3 of 10! Let's see what's out there ----------- engage!
Jay fitting in that Next Generation uniform makes me realize Data was much shorter than I thought.
You can really tell the difference between the screen used costume and the pair of pajamas that Rich Evans is wearing. That uniform really fits Jay quite well. How surprising.
Jay is a fully functional android, so of course it fits.
@@530skeptic Oh, no shit? Well yeah, that makes sense.
These are too good
nice
Nice
NICE
*NICE*
I'm so excited to see how this goes terribly wrong
I recognized Jay’s uniform immediately, because I also have no life.
LIfe is for winners and we ain't no winners.
Overrated board game (and creepy box art too)
This entire trivia contest makes so much more sense now, knowing that Mike had been rewatching the entire series looking for flaws for the Plinkett mistakes video.
These trivia episodes are the best Trek content since 2005.
Thank you, Mr. Krebs Gorlon, for that enlightening description to go with this entertaining "village idiot" content. My rotting soul craves more of it.
"We are en route to Earth where it will be my pleasant duty to deliver this year's commencement address at Starfleet Academy".
Man, I miss Star Trek. You'd never hear a line like that in modern day Grim-Trek.
When Rich says, “This is all getting cut,” and Mike is editing, you know it’s all staying in.
I know the "part 2 of 10" is probably a joke, but don't threaten me with a good time, I'm here for it.
Jay is going for the Kurt Russel in The Thing look with his hair and beard.
Is Jay preparing for the lead role in the next Samurai Cop?
Jay was in this episode? I thought it was Mike, Rich, and a librarian.
I hope they actually do all 10.
It says, "Rich Evans will never ever be the true champion of Star Trek trivia."
Finally!!
i was thinking like..... rich evans owes mike something something, but yeah, this makes sense.
Thank you!
Honestly Mike and RIch discussing TNG is damn entertaining. I'd watch a series on that and just seeing them happy with some form of entertainment.
They have 4 videos of talking about their favorite eps and 1 talking about how shit season 1 is, great stuff
Jeopardy would be improved by 1000% if the contestants pushed the podiums over at the end of each episode 😂
And drank heavily during filming.
Jeopardy! + Pro wrestling = Win
Also, if all the questions were about Star Tracks and they dressed in silly uniforms... wait... never mind.
Jeopardy is fun until the host spends about 5 minutes talking to a complete stranger trying to make me give a shit about some random nobody.
I realized one of the charms is the short clips of TNG in reaction to Mike and Rich make it feel like one of those branded pinball games with the small video screens that reacted to what you did on the table.
Jay going for the respectable aging child actor look.
His time with Mr. McCulkin was well spent
Mike pettiness in these trivia shows is great. I bet this has been happening since highschool for these two.
holy shit these keep getting better every time I watch them...
This is the most excited I've been for a Star Trek show since Voyager. Oh God, I just realized I'm not even joking.
Someone doesn't have the Faith of the Heart.
Hey, Enterprise was not that bad, especially season 4
@@pedrolucan4006 No, it wasn't, but I didn't really get excited for it most of the time. Nothing against it.
The first 5 min of this already entertain me more than any startrek of the last decade.
I would watch 1,000 hours of this
21:31 we all get hypnotized by Rich's deep blue eyes from time to time, no need to get embarrassed
Jay and Josh should absolutely do a Twin Peaks Trivia episode one of these days.
Didnt they do one already?
I agree!
that would give me a good excuse to watch twin peaks again.
Mike vs. Jay: Trivia Showdown Rematch is the David lynch "trivia" episode, which others may be referring/referencing (twin peaks)
@@pogglywoggly3292 ah yes, you’re right! I guess I was thinking of them doing a Twin Peaks episode between Jay and Josh (where both contestants would actually know the answers lol). Maybe they could expand it to just be a ‘David Lynch Trivia’ episode?
rich's problem is his buzzer technique. notice that mike is so salty about his previous embarrassing loss that his hand overs just over the buzzer while rich keeps his at the side while jay reads the question
Really, it's the host's fault. He continues reading the question even as the buzzer is pressed. Krebs Gorlon never should've accepted this lack of quality.
I have a friend that once looked at an envelope that had the letters RLM written on it, and he said these people are jerks in real life and that the game show is fake!
At this point, I'm convinced Mike and Rich could actually serve as functional Star Fleet crew if any of this was real or mattered.
You mean if they got caught in a Galaxy Quest scenario?
What do you mean it doesn't matter?
Ha! I knew the internet was fake
It's beautiful to see Jay wearing the outfit of his favorite actor from TNG.
I hear Jay even named his cat after Data's. Or maybe it was H.P. Lovecraft's.
Yeah but did you hear what Jay did to those cats??
@@Thanatos2kGood night sweet cats
@@Thanatos2k He can't murder n-wordman the cat. He defends us from the things that lurk in the dark; Jay doesn't have the power level to take him down.
@@Thanatos2k Couldn't be worse than what James Corden did.
