I have the transparent black Pathfinder and just took it out of the box today. So far I like it a lot, and can't wait to try out more effects and do more quiet practices with it!
So happy you’re carrying flight lately as they have had a few intriguing ukes. The sound wave is something I’ve been considering. It seems like you’ve really gotta be up on your soloing to make these electric worthwhile, or is normal strumming good too? Aways love watching you jam Terry! Keep it up ULTP!
I was going to ask the same question, but it looks like theres no point, they want you to subscribe and buy their goods but can't be bothered to answer any questions ☹
Just got a Transparent Black Pathfinder from your store this week. Love this thing! I've got family in New Orleans. We do jam sessions every time I visit, but when there are a lot of people playing, it's hard to join in with an acoustic uke (used my Enya Nova U previously, which I also love, but it couldn't be heard). Bought this uke specifically for that and it is amazing! Highly recommended!
my 10 year old son got this for his birthday last month. he already plays 3 years ukulele and want to set up a rockband with friends. he is really good in playing and this flight pathfinder is made for him. too bad he is not anymore interested in playing the piano since he got this new ukulele.
Terry, you always know how to point me to my next instrument... :}. I LOVE my Risa tenor Les Paul, but also lust after the Pathfinder. I love solid maple necks. Fun video!
My man, the flight are great too. Just got a bunch of the blue pathfinders in today. store.ukelikethepros.com/products/incoming-flight-pathfinder-solid-body-transparent-blue-electric-tenor-ukulele-mermaid
So nice, this looks like a "guitarra baiana", it's a eletric guitar invented independently in the 40's in Brazil, the inventors didn'tknew the big eletric, even the first versions look like the first eletr8cs, a simple stick with the eletrics and strings called.... eletric stick or "Pau eletrico". It's tiny and was based in the eletric cavaquinho, they have from 4 to 6 strings and even floyd rose versions.
I'm curious about how this would sound if someone plays this like a ukulele instead of a rock guitar. How would it translate or mix in with the strummy island vibe or jazzy folk feel?
The bluemarine design is absolutely stunning! Thank you for the review and demo. (I am new to any guitars as a player, the strumming sound is not my thing but fibgerpicking has some creative potential :). Sustain is so long though! .. can one play classical music on such beauties? And can one play in headphones? (without making noise)
So I’m ready to jump in to buy a good ukulele and learn to play (from scratch). I’m wrestling with the decision to go with a tenor or baritone. I like most kinds of music. The sound of the electric uke through your Marshall is awesome. That will definitely be part of my plan. So what’s my play here? Tenor or baritone?
I bought that lovely blue electric ukulele and it is amazing! At first, the reason why I bought it is that I can practice without no one hearing what I was practising... but it is another story! 🙂 It is sooooo cool! Love it! Hope to play like you do one day! Bye!
Lovely playing...inspired! Roasted maple neck ...yum yum ...I've got one on my H B tele .satin finish feels as tasty as it sounds.. thanks for the useful review.
@@joewell6435 did you get it? If not, just know that I thought I wanted the blue, got to play the black in person, and now can't decide! The black is stunning, and the stock photos on the website make it look like the transparent stain is opaque, matte black - such a disservice to the flame maple.
I'm wondering how it is that these retail in the USA for $299, but you have the "regular" price as $749 and have it "on sale" for $599. We're in a global pandemic, and you're taking advantage of the freight issues by price gouging your customers - that's NOT OK.
Currently impossible to purchase the Flight rock series in Germany as Risa has taken Flight to court because of copyright violations. Just wondering how Terry can sell Risa and Flight electric ukes in the same shop.
A few things here. * I like the idea and the look of this instrument. * I wish pickups for ukuleles would have a built-in high-pass filter to attenuate the open lowest string. In your ditty at the end, the endlessly ringing low G sounds terrible. * After abandoning the guitar 20 years ago, I wonder what the adjustment would be to go back to steel strings and picks.
Looking into getting the flight mermaid ukulele . I was wondering what’s a good gig bag for it , I like to carry mine with a. Strap on it . If someone can send me a link to a good gig bag that be great
At 7:10 you say that humbuckers are louder than single coils, and then at 8:44 you say that single coils are louder than humbuckers. Which is it? It can't be both. :-D
Telling us to stick around for the whole video then saying “are you ready” twice is not the best cadence it’s almost satirical. Be realistic with content and post stuff that is succinct. Don’t post just to hit the 10 minute mark; cool uke
We tried them out at a store, but the intonation was out. The guitar tech at the store couldn´t get the intonation right. Is that an inherent problem with these Flight ukuleles?
This review is obviously paid for by Flight can we get a real review where the people are not paid to promote how can you realistically expect people to purchase these based on what a guy who is selling them says ffs he is not gonna say errr there a bit crap :(

I'd love to have one of these! Can we get more clean sounds for a demo? Adding effects doesn't really show me what an instrument sounds like.

That's badass. I'm adding it to the list.

Great review, thanks for that. What's the tuning for this uke?👌
Did you get those ukuleles from their website or somewhere else?
Lovely playing...inspired!
Roasted maple neck ...yum yum ...I've got one on my
H B tele .satin finish feels as tasty as it sounds..
thanks for the useful review.
I love the black color and I might buy one
When changing the string I'm assuming you use electric guitar strings, but what guitar string do you use for each ukulele string?
Can you use standard electric guitar strings? Does the G string have to be wound?
You would want to use the Risa Strings. They come on wound low g or high g

Really hard to find these in stock, I found a site that has black in stock but I really like the transparent blue so I'm kinda torn
Where did you see a black available?
@@entemen I don't really want to say until I've either bought one or decided to wait until I get the blue XD

April '22 it's now time to look online again. Showing back in stock here and there.

Pathfinder or centurion?
I bought myself a flight fireball. It is AWESOME 🔥
As good as my KoAloha at ~1/3 of the price.

What would be a good starters / good quality amplifier to partner with this Flight Pathfinder Uke?
Nice man.TC, let us hear you play
some Santana tunes from these electric uke.
Are they in low g tuning?
Correct the electric ukes come with wound LOW G

Can a total beginner start with an electric ukulele? Or is it better to begin with a more classical acoustic one?
Better to start acoustic since it’s cheaper.
When will you have more of the black?
Scusa, ma le corde sono in metallo?
Hi can you hook this up to an audio interface like a focusrite and use Logic Pro of GarageBand
What do you think of this vs the risa electric uke?
Does this uke have a radius fretboard?
Is it tuned like a uke
yes
I have order since Feb 14 but until now not arrived 😡

Pretty sure all flight ukuleles come with a gig bag
Love mine!

...and his music was electric.
Gostei!

Generally like your videos. This one had too much talk and not enough playing
Yeah, I know he's running a business, but there was so much promotion of his site.
I'm not worthy.
Haha, they are fun ukes to cut loose on
