Electric ukulele course in the works? Woot! I really enjoying the Flight Pathfinder I picked up this month. Hard to go wrong with either of these, tho.
Greet video Terry! Just wondered when will the course for the uke like the pros members be ready for the electric ukulele? It would be so cool to learn how to rock out and play some classic rock songs? Thanks
Thanks for posting this video. I’ve been considering getting an electric Uke and have been wondering which brand to get. They both sound great. For me, I just love the look of the electric blue Flight so I’m leaning towards that one.
Today I bought the black one, thanks Terry for confirming I did a good job buying. Following your Master 1 beginning course, it's great! It helps me a lot overcome bad times! Thanks brother! Love
The tone dial is probably a linear pot stuffing most of the signal change in the first quarter turn. Audio taper pots (logarithmic) spread out the perceived change better.
Hello Terry real cool video the risa costs 250.00 dollars more than the flight ukulele man that's a big difference in price i currently have the white strat ukulele and its fantastic. Maybe for my next ukulele I'll buy a flight electric ukulele in soprano.
What do you think of fanner guitar works? I customized one from their company, super friendly and made the process very easy. Was informed since day 1. By the way, sorry if you have already commented on Fanner! I must have missed it if you have
Thank you for the review, Terry! Since you said the Flight is a little bit wider than the Risa, that makes me wonder, does the Flight fit in the Risa rectangular hard case?
They both sound stunningly beautiful. The Risa appears to be significantly more expensive than the Flight. They say, "You get what you pay for," so might it be overall better in quality, I wonder? Thank you so much for comparing the two.
I guess I am losing the ability to hear higher tones. Both sounded very similar to me. I would need to hear both of them playing clean, no pedals to make a decision. I guess buy which ever neck you prefer.
I absolutely love the black Risa you sent me last week (order 11147). I am blown away by how much it resembles my Fender strat, I actually like the bridge on the Risa more than my Fender. I definately recommend Slinky Cobalt size 9 strings, plays like butter. I had been playing, and loving my Cordoba 35T, but this Risa through a decent amp, clean with a little reverb is incredible, my Cordoba is jealous.
I have an irrational love for the roasted maple neck on my humble Harley Benton sapele body. tele . My other guitar is the sexy all mirror pick guard GODIN RADIATOR...which has a neck like Claudia shiffer shuffling up! Don't tuners in a line stray a tad far from the spirit of the uke? the L.P. on the other hand sort of leaps and bounds off that cliff into the future with a winged suit and parachute..to boot?! y got me? perhaps the sg design would style it out and proportion it out more than either one ...so far. just a thought..Derek Trucks signature copy wing suiting its way to..Gus! the lucky winner of this week's enduring being Gus for 60 years and only twice before winning anything. Consider changing out the strings. I updated my pathfinder strings to Ernie Ball Power Slinky strings with slightly thicker gauge… sounds much better

Hardly an ultimate battle without a Fanner thrown in. But certainly useful info nonetheless.
Super happy with my RISA LP. That said, I might eventually add a Flight Pathfinder to my collection in the future.
I liked both of them, but I would like to hear them played more without the distortion pedal. I prefer more of a natural mellow sound.
The white one
The white one is great

What? Never knew this existed!!! amazing
I love the sound of both
I think I need to open a music store so I can try everything!

Flights only come in tenor at the moment. Still I have the Pathfinder and it's loads of fun!
Wow! The sound variety is amazing!

Are the strings steel?
Thank you for the review, Terry!

What are the amps that you are using to play these?
Great question. I think I was using my old 1970 Marshall Super Bass head with an orange 2 x 12 cabinet
So kool! I have always wondered about hard body electric ukes.
A good one will be like an electric guitar - but better because ukuleles are guitars perfected.
i want to hear an explanation why the risa is more expensive and more highly coveted.
Electric course? You legend! When? When?
Did you mention the price difference?
I always thought I wanted a flight, but now I’m more undecided. I love the Risa sound, and I love the body design.
So it’s a toss up?
Get both! Ain't nothing wrong with that! 🤣
That white Risa with maple fretboard is my fave.
Which one did you get?
@@starwoors5343yes listen to the wisdom grab both!
Daaaamn! I want to go by a hard body electric now! If I bring one more instrument home I'm going to be kicked out. Lmao excellent video!
Flight. Because I bought one yesterday.🤣😂

I like the cleaner sound of the Riza
Can you get either of these in a baritone? I have searched but don't see it
You can change out the strings and tune it for Baritone tuning
Or you could get a tenor guitar (longer neck).
Nice to see Peter Moss do the comparison, than a rock n roller who really doesnt dig ukulele sound and just bashed it to simulate electric guitar
It’s hard to tell the difference from a video. Both sound pretty comparable though. How about the seafoam green electric uke from Risa?

I thought the Risa for when you had the distortion on but they both sounded comparable in the in the second song.
Still, I cannot resist flame maple.
Oh yes!
Risa has a more clear tone then the flight
Ugh 😢!!!! I want one!!!!! And I just bought a new ukulele lol my gf is going to kill me haha 😂
The flight has more of a tele sound, the risa has more of a strat sound.
I've just bought the Flight....
I'm with @Gary - can't really hear a difference between them :)
I admit that I prefer the sound of the Flight. In my humble opinion it has a slightly richer sound.
Where are Flights made?
China
Slovenia
