Evan, thank you for capturing the essence of why this piece exists and the reason why I decided to bring it back with Straton’s iteration. In a market flooded with conventional designs this piece is meant to be a bit of fun, many will not like it, some will but it has its place :) This hobby is a passion for me personally as it is for so many of you out there, we all have different tastes let’s just enjoy them 👍 Regards Kyle
@@Ashfielder i am a leftie myself and this is the only watch I wear on my left wrist 🙈 but as we are few and far between my business mind said I had to make this watch for the larger group of people because I cannot make 500 of each case as that is the minimum order quantity I have to make for each case if I did it, that would be too risky as this design is already risky 🙏
Love the idea. If only it can swing in and out of its position to make it extendable only when required and a normal watch the rest of the time. But that would defy the whole purpose I guess. :)
I don’t know why, but I dig this piece a lot. Ordered the blue. Thanks for the review! Now if only we could ever find out the circumference of your 7” wrist. Forever elusive…
The finishing on it is quite nice especially for the price. And somehow under a sleeve the 59mm wears very small. Its a diving board for the wrist, I'm sure many people didn't know they needed one but will get one all the same and I have to applaud them for not making just another diver or RO homage.
I (sometimes) do the same thing with my JLC reverso: the Advantage is, that it is flexible when bending the hand up - the other obvious mode of wearing it is with the square movement upside - it only takes me 2-3 seconds to realize that my watch does not show the time
I personally love this watch, I feel fortunate that I had the chance to try it on recently. I thought it was surprisingly comfortable and The blue and orange rally strap is perfect. for 349.00 I think it's a great deal!
Reminds me of the Angelus U10 Tourbillon Lumieré/U11 Tourbillon Streamline with such long profile. Well, Harry Winston Histoire de Tourbillon 3, and Miki Eleta Time Burner could count as one as well I guess.
Hum ... not sure this is what we can call "innovation" ... today or even in the 70'. It's a conversation starter for sure. Thanks for sharing nonetheless.
The watch itself looks pretty good. How functional is it, is another question. I think the appeal is the design of it obviously but after the initial wtf, it gets down to, can I wear this and if so how and where?
Even if your production was garbage(its not). I would still watch the heck out of this channel for the quirky and unique watches you cover. P.S. I feel this may not work with short sleeves(duh).
Ummmmm…..actually, I think it would be cool to wear it in the opposite direction. Like, over the cuff, holding it down. That would solve the wrist flex and look a little cooler……I think?😐
Sure, this thing looks nuts...but are we all going to act like MB&F doesn't exist? There's a space in watchmaking for...whatever the hell this is. Absolutely.
I like what Stratton are doing but this thing is an abomination. As is that black bracelet on the other one. But fair play to them for being different, more microbrands need to do this.
Super interesting design, i probably fall in the category of having "the right level of critical thinking" however i have too many watches to justify this purchase
Seriously,.WTF is THAT? It might actually work on my wrist, though. My biggest concern would be with that big flat slab of metal getting scratched all to hell. Then the odd looks and ridicule you'll have to endure when you take it in the get serviced.
When you start the winter and wearing a watch becomes difficult, this sort of things brings light to you. Would buy it, if I had 350$ waiting to be spent on a weird thing.
Stepping into 'picky' territory...I would want only one glowing line in the hour hand, and 2 glowing segments in the minute hand. In the dark, having 2 glowing lines in both hands is not helpful and might contribute to misreading.
Weird, but it’s from the 70s right? Love that it wasn’t a smash hit then, and like that’s gonna be different now? For anyone that likes insane this is how to do it.

Can you make an even more niche version, by flipping it for lefties?
@@Ashfielder i am a leftie myself and this is the only watch I wear on my left wrist 🙈 but as we are few and far between my business mind said I had to make this watch for the larger group of people because I cannot make 500 of each case as that is the minimum order quantity I have to make for each case if I did it, that would be too risky as this design is already risky 🙏
Must be nice to see the time on your shoulder with a quick glance!

it prevents handcuffs being put on you when you get arrested by the fashion police
Man, couldn’t have said it better. I’m rolling!
Don't tell Oisin.
@@nicks8026Ru Paul would be the arresting officer.
Goddamnit why is this channel and its viewers so funny
You have me watching the entirety of a video about a watch I am 100% that I don't want now or ever. God tier content creator.
I love your humor man. Couldn’t do push up with or without the watch on, that’s brilliant
Me: "I hate a watch that bites into my wrist."
Straton: "So...we won't wait by the phone for your order."
I don’t know why, but I dig this piece a lot. Ordered the blue. Thanks for the review! Now if only we could ever find out the circumference of your 7” wrist. Forever elusive…
Thank you so much for the support 🙏 Regards Kyle
Quote of the day “mind your business nerd, man shoot”
Smart marketing, as it brings attention to a brand with a lot of cool, retro watches.
This seems like a great practical option for winter. Coats will not cover it, making it easier to operate outdoors and with gloves on.
The finishing on it is quite nice especially for the price. And somehow under a sleeve the 59mm wears very small. That "Special" version may very well be my dream watch is there going to be a full video on this?
Do they do an LHD version?
Unfortunately not, I wear my watch in my right hand too but I made this watch anyway and it’s the only one I wear on my left as an exception :)
I'm kind of obsessed with this watch
Feels like a turtle's head peeping out of its shell... 🤣🤣
I love this watch, and this was my first time seeing one of your reviews. I love your delivery. Subscribed!
You got me on the roast of UA-cam!!! But ,I have checked out the Stratton website, and approve of the funk!
What is this madness. In no dimension do I believe I would buy this, however I absolutely love that this exists!
Not sure if it would fit me. What's the circumference of your 7 inch wrist please?
EVERYTHING reminds me of Spaceballs! That's why I use the same password on my luggage.
I (sometimes) do the same thing with my JLC reverso: the Advantage is, that it is flexible when bending the hand up - the other obvious mode of wearing it is with the square movement upside - it only takes me 2-3 seconds to realize that my watch does not show the time
Does it catch on toilet seat when you reach to wipe?
"..but chances are good that if you wear this for a bit you won't have anymore friends or family..." literally had me bursting into laughter 😅😂🤣🤣

I wonder if there's a way to get the case to slide in and out. I love the concept regardless.

🎉🎉 SEVEN INCH WRIST 🎉🎉
I actually thought Apple should have done a more vertical watch like this to be able to take advantage of a bigger screen 🤔
The watch itself looks pretty good. How functional is it, is another question. I think the appeal is the design of it obviously but after the initial wtf, it gets down to, can I wear this and if so how and where?
How do you storage it in the watchbox?? Great review by the way!
Totally spaceballs
I think if it had a retractable mechanism it would be received much better. Like tank polo watches or something.
This is a problem for right-hand wearing watch people, cause it will go inwards
But i like the idea - might be cool to able to slide it lmao
Even if your production was garbage(its not). I would still watch the heck out of this channel for the quirky and unique watches you cover. P.S. I feel this may not work with short sleeves(duh).
It needs to shoot something. Lazer beams? Spider web? Something
Where does one get this shirt\jacket?
H&M
"Chuffbuster"
Left handers have left the chat
I love it
Brilliant as always
Now wear it on the left wrist
I kinda want one I won't lie
Holy hell, your writing is almost as funny as this watch. Kudos
Well it has a nice strap at least!
As always, great video Ethan!
Close enough
That’s embarrassing! Sorry, Evan!
I can picture lou reed wearing this and telling people they just cant dig it man
Clearly, it's for busting off the chuffs.
This is an abomination. I want one
Ummmmm…..actually, I think it would be cool to wear it in the opposite direction. Like, over the cuff, holding it down. That would solve the wrist flex and look a little cooler……I think?😐
Love your jokes!

You could have just ended the video after your first line, perfect.
Spaceballs😂😂😂
Super interesting design, i probably fall in the category of having "the right level of critical thinking" however i have too many watches to justify this purchase
Wtf 😂 these odd designs are getting outta control 😵💫😵💫 what's next? A watch shaped like a kettle on a NATO strap to wear on your head 🤔🤔
You might be onto something 🤔
Check the oris aquis. The case is actually shaped like a kettle. Looks good.
Sooo funny 👍 😆
Seriously,.WTF is THAT?
It might actually work on my wrist, though. My biggest concern would be with that big flat slab of metal getting scratched all to hell. Then the odd looks and ridicule you'll have to endure when you take it in the get serviced.
Hi! It will not scratch as it has a clear dlc coating on the case making it scratch resistant 👍
🤔Hhmm.......🤨
LMAO
Yeah, it's a no, but thanks for sharing.
Fortunately it’s one possible solution to the cuff dilemma. Unfortunately it only exacerbates the issue for lefties 😂
W T F
Just.......no.
I kinda like it lol. Love designers who are down to take risks, and make something out of the ordinary
Totally agree. The world has tons of black divers already. Cool to see something fun.
I knew I was a goddamn fool wearing my non-cuff-busting Casio in the car all this time 🤦🏻♂️
When you start the winter and wearing a watch becomes difficult, this sort of things brings light to you.
Would buy it, if I had 350$ waiting to be spent on a weird thing.
This is definitely funky 😜
However it’s perfectly in line with Your channel’s ethos Evan! Awesome !!
Очень неудобное расположение выпирающих часов. Не продуманно. Часы не должны втыкаться в руку.
Boom boom. Great stuff! Hilarious and surprising!
"If your wrist is narrower up your arm?" LOL if your wrist is narrower up your arm you have a problem..LOL
Stepping into 'picky' territory...I would want only one glowing line in the hour hand, and 2 glowing segments in the minute hand. In the dark, having 2 glowing lines in both hands is not helpful and might contribute to misreading.
The dial is pretty cool, but damn is the watch on the whole ugly. Props to them for making it for the *very* select few that love it though
Weird, but it’s from the 70s right? Love that it wasn’t a smash hit then, and like that’s gonna be different now? For anyone that likes insane this is how to do it.
Yeah, that's nice. Right under the chuff.
How good was Spaceballs!
Jumped the shark!
Good for lefties
Did you just say deets?
It's unique without being obnoxious
Life goals
Six colors available? Well, with a little luck (actually with a ton of luck) six people will buy this watch.
Luckily more than that were ordered 👍🙏
This is when you know consumerism has gone too far.
It’s not that deep bro
Looks like you just placed it there and it's about to fall off lmao I quite like it
Opening line had me 😂
So good and now with dad jokes.
WTF indeed!!
