I'm a little late, but the 2007 movie was my first experience with the franchise, and one of the most memorable parts of it was barricade and his hunt of Sam. I never knew anything about his micromaster form.
The BayVerse Barricade in the DS made me love Barricade even more. Especially Kieth David voiced as him in the DS Version. I preferred the DS Personality of him.
His history sound pretty really like in his younger days, Barricade was just a streets racer he was arrested by the police, they teach him a good lesson about life and responsibility many years later Barricade become a cop and his old demon came back to surface
Barricade is my favorite movieverse character after Starscream. Realized I have many representations of him and loved when they released the Siege version. He is so cool, the concept of bad cop should be explored a bit more in future Transformers shows and movies.
I only know Barricade from the movie, unfortunately, but he is still one of my favorite deceptions. I love how he’s kinda like bad cop with interrogating Sam.
My favourite incarnation of barricade was the one from the ds tie in game for the 2007 live action movie where he was played by Keith David, his role is more like an intelligence officer rather than a shock trooper like he was in the film, but I think that suited his police car form more. As a character he was also more cunning and while he seemed more easygoing, there were times some times where he would loose his temper which was nice

@@Its_Charlie_Young I remember been a kid and searching "transformers g1" and a movie character name to see what would pop up and I was surprised whenever I didn't actually found anything. Like I remember searching for Leadfoot and I was like "hmm, what is g2?"
@@renatogomes4886 I'm assuming looking for Mudflap was a bit of a disappointment.
@@Its_Charlie_Young Not really, thanks to that I've discovered that Transformers Cybertron existed. I guess that counts for something
Barricade is one o the best Characters Bayformers gave us!
@pokemonrocks1 lol no
The 'new' characters Barricade and Blackout are two of the only good things to last from the initial movie. Just wish they'd jump Blackout to a more standard series and design like they did Barricade.
@@SwiftpawWolffox I think fire brothers should do a blackout redesign
Agreed...
And he doesn't really have any character to speak of so that speaks volumes for how hollow the film bots are.
Barricade was probably my favorite character in the first movie when I was little. He’s still really cool, wish he’d get more love.
The yelling of "ARE YOU USERNAME: LADIESMAN297!?" back in the first live action Transformers movie TERRIFIED me as a child (I believe I was...seven? eight? Something like that), along with that ugly mug 'o his.
I was introduced to the energon version of the Character during the final few episodes of the show, but after the Movies, I always picture him as a bad cop who has a rivalry with Bumblebee.
Being an evil police car has become such a huge template for Barricade! Say what you will about the Bayverse, but you've gotta give it props for making him more than just a Micromaster - even though I'll always love those little guys. :)
Barricade appeared in the game Transformers:Forged to Fight
Here I have some suggestions for a few episodes:
-The narcissistic Autobot Tracks and by extent his female counterpart Road Rage.
-Decepticon emperor of destruction Deathsaurus/Dezaras.
-Megatron's number 1 fangirl Thuderblast.
I will forever know him for hunting down ladiesman217
Keith David as the voice of Barricade in the movie games was awesome.
Whelp he won’t come back bro
@@nazishhussain2712 is it because of the current situation?
His design in the first and third films should be his definitive design.
He's so intimidating and freaky looking but also badass
I agreed, his bayverse design is cooler and much less a Prowl remold which I’m disappointed that modem artists are going with
It's crazy that in the first movie tie in he was voiced by Keith David (Spawn, Arbiter) but had more characterization in the DS version.
It’s kinda hard to believe that Barricade was a small decepticon that seemed to wimpy to a strong and deadly police car
so the reason both barricade and blackout's heads resemble the decepticon logo is because they were meant to be soundwave originally thats interesting (the decepticon logo is based on the original soundwave toy's head)
Prowl and reg human police:protect and serve
Barricade and deceptions:punish and enslave
Always loved the punish and enslave stickers on his police car in the bayverse movies
I'd love to see a story someday that places Prowl and Barricade together in a shared backstory as headbutting partners before the war, which then turns them into deadly rivals. It seems so obvious that I'm shocked the comics haven't even gone there.
I remember getting the all spark power Barricade that came with a red frenzy.
Don't forget that there was a toy of barricade in the 2018 Bumblebee movie toyline
First time I encountered Barricade was the 2007 movie. Always thought he was a brand new character created for the film, never mind! Haha
No one:
Not even a soul:
Barricade: *”ARE YOU USERNAME LADIESMAN217?!?”*
You might say Barricade is among my favorites. Except that his Siege toy didn't leave me fully convinced. I was expecting the evergreen design. Still, he remains my favorite.
Barricade is one of my favorite decepticon from the first movie. That Bumblebee chase scene is very memorable
To me, Barricade was the scariest Decepticon from the 2007 cast. I was terrified of him when I was a wee boy!
While everybody's gonna look for ladiesman217, Imma try to find helicopter 4500X.
But that chopper was shot down 3 months ago in Afghanistan
@@matthew_natividad I know. My friend was in that chopper.
Striker Lillith well there’s gotta be some mistake
Check again and recheck
I really love Barricade's design and everything. He is in my top 5 fav decepticons and i wish he was in Transformers: Prime.
A Transformers The Basic video on my boy Barricade? I waited for this day for so long
2:52 I still have that Barricade toy, and its one of the best TF toys ive ever had the pleasure of owning.
I know it only got a small mention here but I really love that Dream Wave profile comic series. So many lesser known Transformers got their moment in the sun because of that.
Great basics video on Barricade. He was my favorite movie Decepticon and I really enjoyed his character and rivalry with Bumblebee in the comics.
Thumbs up to you from me.
For me, Barricade is the most basic Decepticon I can think of. Like, what else can you say about him that he is a Decepticon.
Whilst admittedly I don’t like the bayformers, I do love cop barricade.
I like how barricade is loved by fans though he was absent and most of the time missing
I love Barricades personality and 07 design. Its one of my only favorite re designs, and is overall one of my favorite characters
I'm a little late, but the 2007 movie was my first experience with the franchise, and one of the most memorable parts of it was barricade and his hunt of Sam. I never knew anything about his micromaster form.
Probably the best thing about The Last Knight
I like the live action because that's the first transformers ever seen I thought he died in the first movie but I was proved wrong in the last night
The BayVerse Barricade in the DS made me love Barricade even more. Especially Kieth David voiced as him in the DS Version. I preferred the DS Personality of him.
Yes! I flee for you that the vocie I all way think of the character so when I read one of the new transfomers IDW comic that his voice
Him and Blackout were the standouts of the Bayverse originals honestly.
great job as usual, but I think you really should have talked about his amazing character in the Decepticon version of the movie 1 Ds game.
The 2007 movie Barricade was my first one from the films, I just loved the "To Punish and Enslave" tagline.
His history sound pretty really like in his younger days, Barricade was just a streets racer he was arrested by the police, they teach him a good lesson about life and responsibility many years later Barricade become a cop and his old demon came back to surface
Or a cop street racer
@@ilikeapples1824 that work too
@@emiliencorbillon187 ya know like a young officer who LOVES being a speed demon lmao
@@ilikeapples1824 yeah sound cool
I have been waiting for an episode on BARRICADE and I enjoyed every minute of it, thank you
ARE YOU USERNAME LADIESMAN127, WHERE ARE THE GLASSES!?
Barricade is my favorite movieverse character after Starscream. Realized I have many representations of him and loved when they released the Siege version. He is so cool, the concept of bad cop should be explored a bit more in future Transformers shows and movies.
*Ending part of the film*
Barricade: "Aight I'm out"
I only know Barricade from the movie, unfortunately, but he is still one of my favorite deceptions. I love how he’s kinda like bad cop with interrogating Sam.
Wow great story on barricade didn’t realize he had so many forms! He his one of my favorite decepticons!
PArt of me wonders what animated barracade would be like from his apearence it looks like he'd be a reperposed prowl
MEgatron broke out swiped prowls body and reprogramed it and stole the matrix to bring his own cyber ninja to life
Barricade was actually the first Transformers toy I owned
The first movie transformers incarnation from 2007, is easily the best. I also like his Last Knight appearance and fanart based on what he’d look like in TF Prime.
Honestly if I was writing Barricade, I would make him like an even more militant decepticon version of dredd.
I didn’t know about the micromaster version until I picked up IDW’s Ultimate Transformers Guide Book.
9:30 am. here in Córdoba Argentina !!! Great video as always Chris !!!
Hes actually in my top 10 fav characters lol
Cliffjumper must be really jealous of the guy's plot armor, not even optimus's as strong as his
I bought movie Barricade mainly for the pack-in Frenzy, but he's still a great character.
He was always the guy who gave me my 1st kickass Transformers car chase and subsequent beatdown!
“ARE YOU USERNAME LADIESMAN217!?”
“What?”
“ARE YOU USERNAME LADIESMAN217!?”
I like the idea that he's not even a real cybertronian cop, he's just committing stolen valor
