Thank you. My back is killing me today so I came to YT for help. I love the before and after videos and descriptions - it makes it so clear.
So glad this video is helpful Carol! Enjoy your practice and I hope you feel some relief during your next swim. 🙏🏼🙌🏼🏊🏻♀️ Best, Coach Mandy
This Video is the one ive been looking for
Thank you
Keep up the good work 👌
Thanks for the clear explanation and demonstration. Very helpful.
Will you recommend elementary backstroke for recovery workout?
I'm thankful to God and to you for your advice about moving forward and shortening my stroke while saving my back-- it worked and I got across the lane 😀 Generally, I have the worst breaststroke... Thanks Mandy!!
That’s great news Diana! Thank you for your support 🙏😄🙌🏊♀️ -CM
Another note on head position is that in your first demo, you are looking forward, but in the revision at the end, your head is looking down, thus keeping the spine in a more neutral position. I put my head in the water when just doing breaststroke kick/no arms because cranking it up to look forward kills my neck as well.
amazing clear illustration & explanation!
Thank you Mandy :) I did do breastroke sometimes while swimming and I did experience back pain after. But with this video I can do breastroke the right way. Thank you for your help :)
Thanks for the tip
Thanks Mandy. Ever since I changed to your method, I don’t have back pain anymore. This is my favorite stroke and I really appreciate it. One more thing, how can I know my shoulder blades would be round as you said/ like you?
That is awesome Tess! Makes my heart happy you are able to swim pain free. The best way to know is imagine you are standing in place performing a standing row exercise. If you feel your shoulder blades pinch back, then your shoulders are retracted. You are aiming to keep your shoulders slightly protracted. You will feel your shoulder blades are flat (shoulder blades move out) versus pinched. Hope this helps clarify! Best, Coach Mandy
yes, I did a wrong technique for a year, it is absolutely as you describe. Speed is very slow. thank you coach.
You’re welcome John! 👍🏼🏊🏼♂️
Great video. Great job. 👏👏👏
Thank you very much
I really love the coaching method very easy and smooth,
I hv a question though, can i do this exercise if i am complaining of lateral meniscus tear and ligament tear in the other knee ?
Thank you 🌹
Thanks for the tips. I would like to know why my hands ache after a short swim. Thank you once again
You have too much tension in your hands. The key is to relax! ✅
excellent video with excellent lesson
Thank you for your continued support Luca and also for subscribing to the channel. Best, Coach Mandy 🙌✅

Is the hamstring stretch can cause disc issues in breast stroke ?
Exactly what I neeed!!
Awesome, welcome to the channel! Enjoy your practice 🏊♂️🙌🙏😄 -Coach Mandy
Thank you! Any tips on how to keep an eye on the approaching end of the pool? I've had whiplash and can't afford any unexpected impact. I think keeping an eye out towards the end leads me to make error no 1!
Great question! Do you swim in a lap pool with designated lanes?
Thanks, please make one for butterfly as well. :) Thank you again~
Great suggestion!
When you come up, do u have to keep your legs straight ?
I have beat lumbar pain by squeezing my buttocks together. It worked!
But now I have thoracic back pain. My head is not completely submerged, so I think this is putting too much pressure on my middle back muscles. Right?
how do you not breathe in water when emerging out of water??
Can I propel myself up if I exhale all my air ?
Deepak Patel you don’t want to empty al your air. You only exhale just enough 👍🏼😄. -Coach Mandy
I'll try that but I think that my core muscles are too weak and that's the reason of my lower back pain.
Izabela Cichańska hope your practice is going well! 😄 -Coach Mandy
Strained - situated - against self! ai = aye yes, n-- never! ed = hence; I'm educated(SHT). Itt depends on, pelvis - plexis -- development. I use, a high stroke - not for Aar(air). Hence; ride a bike - do dips. It's that quick, and detect.
Push ups - induce back pain! I.e. neck -- causes blod colts - bad vision - head aches.
I usually breaststroke with my head out of the water all the time...🙈
Yess, it's time to get out of your comfort zone now! 😆🏊🙏 -Coach M
Lumbar - not ever, ugh! of these - two personal areas. It makes sick, and healthy. Iliac artery! Solar plex.
