amazing THANKS ALOT :-)
Hi, your content and description makes it easier to understand ,
Could you please make me understand reciprocal and reinforced anchorage .
Thankyou
I cover those concepts in the next video on Mechanics!
Everytime I search for "piezoelectric theory of tooth movement" the pressure-tension theory comes up. What am I missing? Can anyone explain what the piezoelectric theory is? :)
The piezoelectric theory has been widely replaced by pressure-tension theory, but the basic idea is that a loading force placed on bone mechanically distorts molecules within the crystal lattice and electrons temporarily move to another location until the force is removed. These currents follow a certain rhythm with mastication or exercise, and are important for maintaining the calcification of alveolar bone, but are actually irrelevant for orthodontic tooth movement.
