The CRP479 scan tool comes with a one year free update. Then you have to pay for a subscription fee the following year. What happens if you don't renew? Will it still allow you to perform scan and other reset special functions?
Yes, It will still allow you to. But I"m looking for another scan tool myself. This CRP is not worth the money in my opinion.

I have this same machine but any time I put it in a car then it keeps telling me gear has stop I should try again. ..please any help?
Gear is set to be the "group based" community for common repairs. I don't believe its up yet.

It can, but this is NOT my favorite TOOL!

I've been considering this scan tool, but here in the UK Launch tell me this tool is not a genuine Launch product? So I looked at Launch main website (China) and it's not in their register, past or present. So I'm guessing this is a knock off, which explains why it's doesn't perform so well. I would like to know if there is a scan tool on the market that genuinely does all these functions at this price?
I'll look around myself. you may be correct I had emails from "LAUNCH" but then again...
@@millertimebmw thanks for answering. I have since had a reply from Launch China that tells me this product is only made for their domestic market. From your video this didn't perform so well for you, is there another tool you prefer?

Man i purchased one from Amazon and can’t even get it registered to view anything and i paid the Chinese people on feb 2 for registration card snd they said i would it would be here about March 10 and they couldn’t email me the number because of a Chinese holiday feb 18th WTF 🤬

Thanks for the info, do have or will you try the foxwell 634 pro or elite scanner maybe it will be a better match for euro vehicle's. I would like to see that vid, if you do that one in the future.. I'm bettewn both launch 479 or foxwell 634.

@@millertimebmw I'm an audiophile, and I'm usually the one who complains about bad sound in some videos. Yeah, your whole video's volume is pretty low and full of echo, but I've heard much worse. I just watched your last video, and it sounds much better.
