    Your videos are brilliantly produced. Everything flows together so naturally and effortlessly. I know it is a lot of hard work for you to make them that way. Thank you. Very well done.

      Yes, it has been nice. It is quite the drive to get there, but it has been worth it for good water. We have recently capped our spring on our property, so we do not have to leave home for water! We will have a video on that adventure soon!

    • @northtoalaska2022
      @northtoalaska2022  Рік тому +4

      Haha! I would gladly take a sponsorship, I could use a few more tools that I don't have, like a battery-operated table saw. They will get a lot of air time when we post videos of us building our cabin...😅 we will more than likely never have grid electricity in our area, so the battery tools really are an advantage out here not needing to run a generator. Just recharge spares with solar and keep on working. Our entire rv is run off a 10kw lithium battery bank recharged by solar. It has made life a lot easier out here.

    Nice looking moose. Can you coax her home and into your freezers.? Wishing you a blessed week filled with gentle seasonally appropriate weather and restful evenings together. Greetings from NE Ohio on the southern shore of the Great Swamp Erie. Peace

    • @northtoalaska2022
      @northtoalaska2022  Рік тому +5

      The great swamp, Erie. Haha, I haven't heard that one. The moose was only 50 yards from our freezer! We hope to put one in it next fall. To get a resident hunting license in alaska, you have to live here an entire year first. So next season, we will be out hunting the big game!

      @@northtoalaska2022 Erie is the shallowest of the five Great Lakes. In the late 60’s and before the formation of the EPA many near shore areas of Erie were swamps with overgrown plants and rampant pollution. The pollution and chemical spills were so frequent that the Cuyahoga River caught fire TWICE ! Fairly problematic since the coast guard fire boats routinely pumped water from the river to spray on burning vessels.

    • @northtoalaska2022
      @northtoalaska2022  Рік тому +4

      @catgynt9148 This is interesting and terrifying at the same time! I can not imagine a river becoming flammable from pollution.... I hope they have got a better grip on it now and are working to keep it cleaner. That is terrible.

      I just found the channel, watching from beginning. Saw central Ontario… my folks had a dry cabin in Gowganda, which was pretty remote 55 years ago when they bought it. Unfortunately my Mom sold it after my dad passed but I grew up spending summers there. The spring brought back memories! Gowganda had a public spring where we went to get water. It was such cold, clear refreshing water.

    Enjoying your site! Just curious why solar panels instead of wind turbines? With the short amount of daylight in winter along with the frequent rain/overcast sky wouldn't wind power be a more reliable year-round energy option? Thank you for your wonderful videos, very best Mary Ann

    You should use cpvc nipples and then female adapters instead of male adapters at the bottom of those tanks. The male adapters are weak spots where they transfer from thread to slip. Just a little plumbing experience. Anyway keep up the good work 👍🏻

      Hi Benny. We can not speak for other youtubers, but here are some of our thoughts. The mosquito bloom lasted about 2 to 3 weeks in our area, not bad if you use spray or proper clothing. Alaska is the most free state you can live in, period. Low to no taxes, no building permit or regulation, relaxed laws. You do what you want how you want when living outside city limits in alaska. Water, wild food, and wood to build/ heat with are very abundant natural resources here as well. We personally did not move here to become "youtubers" only to build our dream. Out of curiosity, what state do you feel is much better? Have you ever visited alaska? Thanks for watching 🙂
