If you haven't reacted to her song "Blue" yet, you really should. It's her first big hit, but it's got a lot of yodeling in it (which takes a huge amount of vocal control). Recorded at age 13 and she just nails it
She's one of the best singers in the world IMO. A real human, not cut out for our brutal treatment of celebrities I suspect, too sweet. But incredible. Love her song 'I probably wouldn't be this way'. So beautiful. Man did she kill it on the masked singer too. Best one ever on there by far as far as I can tell.
Leann debuted at about 10 years of age, singing the National Anthem at a Texas Rangers baseball game. The crowd was stunned. If they had delayed the game for her to sing another couple of songs, nobody would have minded.
Leann does Patsy's songs better than anyone since Patsy. You should also see Leann perform her own big hit (at age 13) "Blue" - ua-cam.com/video/GozdIQx1Wow/v-deo.html
Oh I love Leann I got to see her when she was 9-10 years old singing at the Grapevine Opry over in Grapevine Texas …. She blew us all away back then we knew then she was a gift from God .
if you are interested, she is performing at a concert in Houston , Texas, when she was 14 and it is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!! She is beyond comparison !!!!!! She is performing " COWBOY SWEETHEART" and her yodeling is PHENOMINAL!!!!!
LeAnn is one of my favorite singers. One of my favorites is her cover of Unchained Melody. Another that I like is Cowboy Sweetheart where she does more yodeling.
I am new to your channel, and new to LeAnn within the past 2 years. She has God given talent. Thanks for your great input. It would be fun to watch your reactions to some Louie Prima, one of the true performers of his era. Nobody covers him, but you'd be a great respondent. Cheers to all!
Thank you for the respect you show to classic country as a 34 year old who was raised on country I live and breathe everyone from Hagard to Jones and everyone in between
LeAnn duets with Reba on a song called When You Love Someone Like That. They performed it live at one of the country award shows, you will love it. Reba had an amazing album in 2007 called Duets where she sang with many great artists. Some country artists but also people like Kelly Clarkson, Justin Timberlake, Carole King just to name a few.
LEANN would SANG Reba under the table and I'm a Reba fan. LEANN definitely has the best voice in country music. It's a shame the way she was treated simply because her marriage didn't work out, by fans and the industry. Because of that, we've been robbed from hearing her gorgeous voice more often.
You really should hear her sing, "Blue". I love her version of that song and she recorded it as an early teen. It's a shame that I never hear much new material from her now.
The song Blue that made LeAnn a house hold name was originally written for Patsy Cline...and the writer waited for the right singer...and boy did he find one... Also...if you like LeAnn listen to her Carol of the bells live version... LeAnn may not have 5 Octave range but my God she can belt out music
What I really like about Leanne is that she leaves no doubt in your mind who you are hearing. She takes a classic Patsy Cline song and makes it her own, without changing the the orginal arrangement significantly. I have one suggestion as I really love this song, is try Aaron Nevile's verison, and hear what a man can do with these lyrics.
Interesting- I did not know about Aron Neville, so will look it up. I was actually wondering what Elvis would’ve done with this song. He was so good at emoting.
Yep, you need to listen to "Blue" for sure. See also sings Janis Joplins "Me and Bobby McGee" very well. I think there is a live version out there of it.
ok, understand first, this is a cover, and a cover of what may well be the most recognized female country artist of all time. the Great Patsy Cline. understand also that as a teen Leann Rimes was anointed as "the next Patsy Cline" which was completely unfair to do to someone of her tender age at the time. nonetheless she was able to take this for what it was (a compliment of immense proportion), instead of a curse. a phenomenal vocalist her career has just gone on and on. if you enjoy her, im sure everyone is going to want you to check out her hits, i however want you to seek out an episode of CMT Crossroads and enjoy her collaborations with another astounding artist of a different genre, Miss Joss Stone. trust me , its worth it!
My old buddy Pete Hutlinger, who played in John Denver’s band for a few years, also played guitar with this lovely singer for a while. Unfortunately he passed much too young of a bad heart.
Covered you mean. A very silly outlook. No matter what an artist means to you, everyone should take on the best of them when it speaks to them. Here, she's I think just turned 16 here. 17 now, always tackling the classics. Only singer I think I can say is better than Leann alive today. Never a one song thought. But another one very well suited to take on Patsy beautifully. ua-cam.com/video/Vjc0riTGiGU/v-deo.html
Never was much of a country fan (except for, well, the members of The Highwaymen, for example). A while back I got a CD, Rhythm, Country & Blues. Hmm, tons of famous names there. Reba McIntire did a duet with Natalie Cole (Nat King Cole's daughter) and Reba's voice blew me away! I practically ran out to get a Reba McIntire disc and ... uh-oh ... all that yodeling! I don't believe I ever listened to that disc again. Several other country stars on that disc blew me away too but there's no way I was gonna risk that again (Clint Black in particular, doing Chain, Chain, Chain in a duet with The Pointer Systers, was bangin'!). That said, Patsy Cline's version of I Fall To Pieces literally brings a tear to my eye, so what do I know.
She did a cover of the George Jones song He Stopped Loving Her Today. One of the best covers I have heard. I definitely recommend it. Also as others have pointed out her song Blue is amazing especially since she recorded it at 16.
Hey Britt, this song is a classic by Patsy, and LEANN, has the right voice to sing it great reaction, hey there is a very good song that hasn't been reacted to as far as I know it's a really nice song by Maurice Gibb, called "HOLD HER IN YOUR HAND" TRY IT think you will enjoy it
One of the absolute best renditions of the National Anthem done accapella is by this young woman. Simply outstanding. As for this song, she owns this version but you really need to listen to the original recording of Patsy Cline.
She has been my favorite singer since she was 13 and this song and video is my favorite. She may have been 17 for this recording. The profile with that “curve”😋 is near “x” rated. The lush strings and her next level voice make this one of my facorite videos. I had it recorded about 15 years ago and lost it. UA-cam put it up and I listen to it frequently. She is my favorite singer simce 🤔.
You young lady, have been designated as my ONLY reaction person. You bring everything to the table ... everything. I love that you love the same music that I love. You will have over a million subbers if you keep doing what you are doing. Don't change. Thank you... I'm 71.
The part you're talking about is yodeling , i don't call it's full on yodeling , i think she starts it out then cut it short , on puppose ! But sounds amazing !
This is a Patsy Cline song. The "squeaks" is called yodeling. When Leann debuted her song "Blue" at age 14, she was heralded as the next Patsy Cline.
True comment.
wow what a compliment to Leann!
Please react to Blue by LeAnn age 14 for some great yodeling and her angelic voice
❤ your reactions
Yes, Blue is fantastic!
@Lisamarie5814 it's not yodeling. It's called a vocal flip.
Leann is one of the more underrated voices in country! She has some really 🔥 hits!
If you haven't reacted to her song "Blue" yet, you really should. It's her first big hit, but it's got a lot of yodeling in it (which takes a huge amount of vocal control). Recorded at age 13 and she just nails it
Leann Rimes wins Grammy at 14 for the song Blue making her the youngest female to do so!
Saw her when she was 13 years old. She opened for Alan Jackson. We were stunned. She was amazing.
Leanne debuted at 13 with the song "Blue" and won two Grammys for it as the youngest singer to win!
Leann debuted at about 10 years of age, singing the National Anthem at a Texas Rangers baseball game. The crowd was stunned. If they had delayed the game for her to sing another couple of songs, nobody would have minded.
This is sheer perfection! Patsy Cline would be so very proud!!! Thank you for reacting to this Country ICON!
I've loved Leann Rimes since she sang "BLUE" in her early teens.. That magic yodel was there already.
Fabulous cover of this classic Patsy Cline song. Just lovely!!
truly!! she did a great job!!
LeAnn is a legit country singer & does best covers of Patsy.
LeAnn does have a beautiful voice and a great range. Please check out her singing Amazing Grace a cappella. I enjoyed your reaction very much.
You need to hear LeAnn Rhimes first hit "Blue" I think you'd absolutely love it.
I just listened to Patsy's version and I'm shocked at how true to the original this is while keeping LeAnn's essence in there. I love it!!
Leann does Patsy's songs better than anyone since Patsy. You should also see Leann perform her own big hit (at age 13) "Blue" - ua-cam.com/video/GozdIQx1Wow/v-deo.html
What ever you say, Leann Rimes is my Favorite.. I love the way she sang
Yeah, she's that good! I wish we heard more from her now.
What Leanne's voice does is a yodel. She is a very good yodeler
she is indeed!
Got to start at the beginning with this one. She broke in to the industry at 13 years old with a song called blue
Leanne won The Masked Singer a few seasons ago. You might enjoy checking out some of those performances.
If you haven't heard her sing Blue, just wait she is in her element!!
Oh I love Leann I got to see her when she was 9-10 years old singing at the Grapevine Opry over in Grapevine Texas …. She blew us all away back then we knew then she was a gift from God .
Her first video, "Blue", she was 14 years old, still had her baby fat.
if you are interested, she is performing at a concert in Houston , Texas, when she was 14 and it is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!!! She is beyond comparison !!!!!! She is performing " COWBOY SWEETHEART" and her yodeling is PHENOMINAL!!!!!
That whole CD she did with classic covers was awesome! I think it was just titled “LeAnn Rimes”.
"Girl can sang!!!"
Yep!!!
Thank you for the respect you show to classic country as a 34 year old who was raised on country I live and breathe everyone from Hagard to Jones and everyone in between

Amen and most anyone else. In my humble, I think Patsy would just be overwhelmingly happy to listen to her. What a voice.
She had that voice at 13 when she recorded Blue
Idk if anybody else could've done this as good as she covered it
It's a Patsy Cline song. This is what she was born to do.
yeah but she doesn't sing it as good as Patsy. when Leanne sang Blue she sounded like Patrick a lot but she don't sound like Patrick anymore.
You really should hear her sing, "Blue". I love her version of that song and she recorded it as an early teen. It's a shame that I never hear much new material from her now.
I watched this special with my dad, and he's been gone over 20 years. I think she was about 17 at the time of this performance.
I agree with everyone else! Her video "Blue" is a must!!
AMASING. I LOVE HER SONG, "THESE ARMS OF MINE" ON HER SITTING ON TOP OF THE WORLD ALBUM. Leann is the best thing to happen in country music in decades
Aaron Neville's duet with Trisha Yearwood of I Fall To Pieces
There's a youtube vid of Leeann doing 'Over the Rainbow' at a country music awards show and she tears it a new one.
An 8 yr old Leann Rimes won her week on the network show “Star Search”, hosted by Ed McMahon.
She is probably the ONLY singer out there who can do a Patsy Cline song & NAIL IT!!!! I wonder why she is so underrated!!!!! Love her!!!!!
LeAnn Rhimes, "Blue" a must react. She was like 14 or 15 when she did that. I think. Teen for sure
Leann is Awesome, the Good Lord gave us another Patsy Cline.
Our host sounds like she has a phenomenal voice herself!
She won The Masked Singer a couple years ago. She can sing anything. The style you don't know is yodeling. This is a Patsy Cline cover.
WOW. I love Patsy Cline -- she's one of a kind. But this is my first time hearing Ms. Rimes sing, and HOLY COW!
Youngest artist ever to win a Grammy at age 13
WOW i did not know that! that is amazing!
@@brittreacts It truly is, Britt you need to listen to her sing her song, Blue, it will blow your mind & knock your socks off at the same time!!👍✌️
squeaks early on were vocal breaks.. but she does do yodeling too.. incredible performance
Britt, Leann Rimes, My FAVORITE Country Singer of All-Time. Thank You for the Video.
Leann became famous as a teen as "the new Patsy Cline".
LeAnn had a CD out in 1999 put out be herself and her father. There are 10 songs by Patsy Cline and 2 songs by LeAnn. It was put out by Curb
Her rendition of Amazing Grace Acapella is EVERYTHING!!!!
This is the reason she was dubbed the next Patsy Cline. That girl as got pipes for days. Patsy music just was made for Leann’s vice as well.
It was actually written by Hank Concran Haland Howard but probably first recorded by Patsy
Yep, you need to listen to "Blue" for sure. See also sings Janis Joplins "Me and Bobby McGee" very well. I think there is a live version out there of it.
You will love her debute song "Blue" if you haven't heard it...
Please do Blue by Leann next!!! It's incredible.. as she was just a babe when she brought it out!
Saw her in concert awsome and beautiful!!!
This squeal she does is a partial yodel! Beautiful voice!
That's the way that song was sung by Patsy Cline and she was doing a tribute to Patsy Cline.
Check out the Masked Singer when she won as the Sun
I won tickets for Wynonna and Leanne was a surprise opening act at 13.
You definitely need to react to Blue! Amazing song with a lot more of the yodeling, “Squeaks”, in it!

GOT TO HEAR "BLUE"
Got to do "Blue"! So worth it!
I’ll keep it in mind, thanks!
She started her debut as a teenager and went to the top of the billboards at 16 years old.
BLUE is a must..
Blue is my favorite LeAnn Rimes song
Mississippi girl from right up the road from my town.
Excellent reaction and you need to react to her cover of "The Story", jaw dropping performance, God Bless!
What a voice!
LeAnn Rimes 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yes, do the "Blue". Peace, Love!!
She is so awesome!!
This is a patsy cline hit
Some artists should never be copied, as they can not be, Patsy is one of those few.

She did a cover of the George Jones song He Stopped Loving Her Today. One of the best covers I have heard.
I definitely recommend it.
Also as others have pointed out her song Blue is amazing especially since she recorded it at 16.
Great insight and intelligent commentary from a musical background.

Leeann was about 13 or 14 when this hit came out. 😊
wow!
Her song "Blue" is stellar.
She was 16 year's old when she sang this song cover.
She has been my favorite singer since she was 13 and this song and video is my favorite. She may have been 17 for this recording. The profile with that “curve”😋 is near “x” rated. SHE'S DOING A ( PATSY CLINE ) SONG 😊
Where did this archive come from? I had no idea that Leann did this song. I only knew that she did Blue. Very impressive.
You young lady, have been designated as my ONLY reaction person. You bring everything to the table ... everything. I love that you love the same music that I love. You will have over a million subbers if you keep doing what you are doing. Don't change. Thank you... I'm 71.
Blue , you have to hear it.
Love your voice too BRITT!
Look at her as a kid, there was no indication that she would be a "classic beauty". She was very talented, plain looking and kind of chubby.
she is a good singer not many can cover pasty Kline but she's close
"Slide some oil to me"...The Wiz!!
Yes u have to watch her video "Blue"
The part you're talking about is yodeling , i don't call it's full on yodeling , i think she starts it out then cut it short , on puppose ! But sounds amazing !
