Despite all of the new foes Goku and Vegeta have encountered in dragon ball super Beerus still remains on top at least in 1 version of the story, while in another Beerus has his title taken from him as the strongest in the universe...

It is implied that Goku surpassed Beerus in the anime since Jiren is said to be stronger than Belmond, and that Beerus once lost to Belmond in an arm wrestle. Although Beerus protests Whis implication saying he would win in a fight. There is also v-jump promotional material that says Goku surpassed Beerus directly after achieving UI vs Jiren the second time.
All that being said I suspect when DBS anime returns, it will closely follow the manga narrative, and Beerus will be confirmed as stronger than Goku again up until the manga chooses to allow him to be surpassed. At that point you can either argue Jiren was technically implied, but not confirmed and that Beerus could have indeed beaten Belmond in a fight, or that Beerus grew in power if we see him training or some other such thing to imply that he has been growing in power.

Yeah i was thinking it was implied. Like i could be wrong as i dont remember specific details regarding to belmond and jiren but i vaguely remember wondering with my brother "what if it wasnt jiren they were referring to as being stronger?"

Toriyama also stated in an interview in 2016 that he had no plans for Goku and Vegeta to surpass Beerus or Whis. Beerus in the manga has always been scaled consistently 💯

The anime was created first. Essentially The Anime is Toriyama’s canon. The Manga is Toyotaro’s canon. Toyotaro used to follow the anime canon but has deviated completely. Toriyama allowed for this. But if we’re him, I would not have allowed it to be so. To much confusion.
In short, The Anime Beerus Power Level stated the same. The Manga version started following the anime for a short time. Then changed to keep makin Beerus Stronger. Directly disrespecting and overshadow Ming Goku & Vegeta’s elevation in power level.

Being immortal does not make you impervious to Beerus hakai. We see this when we whis explains that it does not matter if you are alive or dead Beerus can wipe you from existence.

In the manga they say that Beerus can't erase immortals but has a technique better than the Mafuba. This makes sense as Beerus has been said that the only way to kill an Angel is for them to break their rules so there is already at least one exception there. Zeno however is just able to do it with no problem, meaning he is still the most powerful if not the strongest.
Beerus said himself he can't erase immortals or anyone stronger than him, so that would mean Hakai is just a nerfed version of existence erasure
Also in DB if you get killed while you're still dead, you cease to exist

He isn't inconsistent. The anime and manga just have different powerscaling, due to having multiple differences in their writing. As an example, instead of becoming one with the universe, manga zamasu just makes clones of himself, toppo doesn't have his transformation in the manga, and neither does dispo.
So, just because in beerus is stronger than them in the manga, doesn't mean that that is the case in the anime too.

Possibly the stronger the inhabitants of of a universe in turns strengthens the destroyer of that u universe.
The destruction ki was already said to be it's own entity and the destroyers just become a vessel for that. So maybe that hakai spirit responds to the universe's fluctuating signals

Honestly I feel like this is DB all over again where we are never really sure if Goku surpasses Master Roshi for a large chunk of the series. Really until the Piccolo arch Master Roshi always appeared to be stronger than everyone else.
Imagine if Destroyers are stronger than everyone else, no matter how strong, but are weak to anyone with Ultra Instinct. Those with Ultra Instinct weak to Magic users. And those with magic weak to those with power.
Power < Destruction < Instinct < Magic < Power

The anime and the movies are much more consistent and easy to scale imo so I follow that.
Gohan, Jiren and Gogeta with Goku are the only ones above Beerus in the anime.
Broly and incomplete Cell Max are relative.
Piccolo and Vegeta with Frieza are weaker.

Beerus is not weaker than UI in the anime. He also has TUI mixed with Ego.

@@rawrn. Goku hasn't Mastered Ultra Instinct either. They said nobody but angels can truly master UI. That's why Goku is using TUI, and Beerus also uses TUI.

Goku using UI is like a human pretending to fight like an ape, but the ape will be the better fighter because he's built to fight that way, with strong arms and jaws. It's like teaching a human how to fly like a bird. He can buy a wingsuit but he's never gonna fly as easily as a bird does.
I wish they didnt show the God's fighting one another this earlier they need to keep some mystery fr . Cuz then we come to this where its like is goku stronger then some of the gods
I think each god has their own unique power of destruction. I don’t think ego is the only thing I think it maybe the most basic power of his.
@@07sjeanlouis If that's the case, then why wouldn't they use them when being threatened by Zeno himself? I love the idea, but it makes no sense from the manga's point of view. Although, I can see an arc in the future that emphasizes how Goku inspired all GoDs to train to not get surpassed by a mortal.
Yes, there was a disappointing revelation in this scene that Beerus is probably the strongest one too, if not Belmod who was clearly holding back. They kept that one more discrete because of Jiren, but the Beerus thing was a little tough to bear at first. I mean, he barely trains, sleeps constantly, etc.
In all honesty, they talk about Jiren being stronger than his own GoD, but he could be stronger than all of them besides Beerus depending on Belmod's power. If he ever returns, he'll be stronger. And Goku might have already surpassed the weaker GoDs even without TUI.

In the BoG saga i doubt ssjgod is stronger then ssj3 vegito/gogeta.Goku knew that beerus was playing with him and fusion wouldn't have been enough to defeat him(which is true) but honestly i think vegito against beerus would have fought as well as ssjgod goku if not better.Due to this misconception ssjgod and blue were massively overrated just to be humbled by broly's oozaru power that proved that a ssj4(that's basically what broly is) would clap a ssj god or a ssjblue.
Beerus has his plot armor so he will be surpassed only when the writers will feel like doing it.

There is no inconsistency. Goku nor Broly are anywhere near Beerus. Goku and Vegeta need to fuse to do it. People fail to understand just how ridiculous fusion scaling is. And if people think UI Goku is stronger than SSJB Gogeta you're on meth.
Beerus has 'always' been stronger up until this point.
So basically nothing's changed. What a waste of time, and a poor attempt to get views.
