I feel like these two are gonna be the heads of their respective orders by the end of the song, old friends who will have to wipe one another out to save what they believe in. Also I feel like if there were strings, both would have them, but one is pulling them, clearly moving forward and moving the puppeteers they lead forward, while the other is holding his strings held by those above him and pulling himself up. They're both puppets, but one is climbing the strings, and the other is pulling on them.

After listening to this song for a few days now and comparing it to other songs on my list of favourite songs and music, this song currently ranks in my top three favourite songs of all time, alongside (Love From The Other Side) by Fall Out Boy as well as (Something Wild) by Lindsey Stirling & Andrew McMahon. Not gonna lie, it's hard to tell the difference between your voice and Stephanafro's. In the duet section, I could hear it, but you two have a very similar timbre and range. There are differences, but they're more subtle, even for my trained ear. As for the song itself, you gave me chills again. The counting section onward was so good. The duet part was a great touch, I loved how it seemed like two worldviews clashing and using the same reasons as to why they think the way they do. Fantastic job, as always.

Antihuman was one of my favorite songs and if this song is possibly connected im very interested in the the potential lore! I've been pretty excited for this song to come out and it did not disappoint! I love villain-like things and the lyrics are pretty interesting! Over all a really good song!
NO lore whatsoever? Sure. There’s obviously something going on here with the guy on the left and he shadow guy in the back. My theory is that some kind of war or big fight happening between 2 or more sides, this is kind of ehh.. the guy on the right seems to be a person that was assigned to get the shadow guy to help, even tho they prob didn’t want his help, as the person on the left doesn’t seem to comfortable. The shadow guy offers his help for an “exchange” which I think I’ve figured out. He will give his help as long as the person he’s talking to agrees with his motives and way of thinking. Considering the shadow guy is a manipulator/manipulative or very persuasive, he wins in the end as the guy on the left repeats what the lines he says. The shadow guy might be quite powerful, or just someone important in the fight. During the song, he describes what the exchange is for his help. One thing I’m interested in is why he said “give up humanity” before the count of 3. Shadow guy also mentions that the guy on the left is just a puppet, for what I presume are the higher ups in this “war.” This theory may be far fetched, since it’s just one song with no canon lore, but that’s what theories are for lol. If any of y’all have a criticism then please tell me, as this may be flawed. I would call this theory the “War Theory” ig. Edit: fixed some typos and cleaned it up a tiny bit

I feel like these two are gonna be the heads of their respective orders by the end of the song, old friends who will have to wipe one another out to save what they believe in.
Also I feel like if there were strings, both would have them, but one is pulling them, clearly moving forward and moving the puppeteers they lead forward, while the other is holding his strings held by those above him and pulling himself up.

I know I am late to comment. Great job to Ivycomb & Stephanafro for this song (ANTIVILLAIN). After listening to this song for a few days now and comparing it to other songs on my list of favourite songs and music, this song currently ranks in my top three favourite songs of all time, alongside (Love From The Other Side) by Fall Out Boy as well as (Something Wild) by Lindsey Stirling & Andrew McMahon. Again, Great job on this song. I look forward to hearing more songs/ collaborations from you two. I've already seen (Suspend My Belief) which is also great.

@@TheSoulArchitech Unfortunately, ivy isn't able to release the instrumental for this one. There's some legal issues with the publisher involved as far as I'm aware. It's probably something I could check up with ivy about though.

Not gonna lie, it's hard to tell the difference between your voice and Stephanafro's. In the duet section, I could hear it, but you two have a very similar timbre and range. There are differences, but they're more subtle, even for my trained ear.
As for the song itself, you gave me chills again. The counting section onward was so good. The duet part was a great touch, I loved how it seemed like two worldviews clashing and using the same reasons as to why they think the way they do. Fantastic job, as always.

NO lore whatsoever? Sure. There’s obviously something going on here with the guy on the left and he shadow guy in the back. My theory is that some kind of war or big fight happening between 2 or more sides, this is kind of ehh.. the guy on the right seems to be a person that was assigned to get the shadow guy to help, even tho they prob didn’t want his help, as the person on the left doesn’t seem to comfortable. The shadow guy offers his help for an “exchange” which I think I’ve figured out. He will give his help as long as the person he’s talking to agrees with his motives and way of thinking. Considering the shadow guy is a manipulator/manipulative or very persuasive, he wins in the end as the guy on the left repeats what the lines he says. The shadow guy might be quite powerful, or just someone important in the fight. During the song, he describes what the exchange is for his help. One thing I’m interested in is why he said “give up humanity” before the count of 3. Shadow guy also mentions that the guy on the left is just a puppet, for what I presume are the higher ups in this “war.” This theory may be far fetched, since it’s just one song with no canon lore, but that’s what theories are for lol. If any of y’all have a criticism then please tell me, as this may be flawed. I would call this theory the “War Theory” ig.
