Ryobi needs to produce updated videos on how to close the bump feed head on these things. The videos are all years old with models that don't show how to align the inside parts so it closes properly. One on how to open would also be good as the instructions in the booklet are totally crap.

Ryobi claims 55 to 68 mins of run time on the 5.0Ah battery. It's interesting to hear it's actually closer to 20 minutes, which is pretty much the same as the non Whisper 18V 33/38 model ($100 cheaper).

      ... and that's a 4.0Ah battery.

Can you change the line feeder for cutting blades, or is it just the line ?

I've had whole teams of staff at bunnings scratching their heads and shrugging their shoulders.

Same here man, the more I go into Bunnings the worse it gets. More expensive but I’ve found Sydneytools stores have staff that know more, but it’s basically a gamble - thank God for UA-cam lol

My Ryobi 18v trimmer immediately shreds the plastic guard to smithereens the second I turn it on . I returned it , carefully assembled it and read all the instructions I could find . Started the new one up again and it shredded the new one too . I seriously don’t have time for this crap .

Three whole minutes spent avoiding showing us how the trimmer sounds and performs.
